1.Review of Research in Aerobic Denitrification by Microorganisms

Nitrogen pollution in water body can not only cause eutrophication but also has direct hazardous effects on animals and human beings. The removal of ammonium is an important process in modern wastewater treatment systems. It is generally achieved by a traditional treatment system of combination of two processes,aerobic nitrification and anoxic denitrification,but these processes are very complex and the cost is higher. In recent years,some new principles have been proposed,such as aerobic denitrification,anaerobic ammonium oxidation,heterotrophic nitrification,which make simultaneous nitrification-denitrification possible. The domestic and foreign study progress in aerobic denitrification was reviewed in this paper.
2.The application of enhanced T1 high resolution isotropic volume examination multi-phase dynamic contrastenhanced scanning technology in the diagnosis of gastroesophageal varices

Objective To investigate the imaging techniques of enhanced T1 high resolution isotropic volume examination (e-THRIVE) multi-phase dynamic contrast-enhanced scanning technology.Methods 83 patients with liver diseases underwent routine and contrast-enhanced MR scanning.e-THRIVE axial volume scan was used in contrast enhanced MRI.The raw data acquired were post-processed with maximum intensity projection(MIP) technique,and to observe the esophageal and gastric varicose vein's display in different injection rates of contrast agent with delayed scan time.Results The varciation of esophageal and gastric blood vessels in 79 cases were detected,the MIP images showed the overall effect of varicose blood vessels,and the axial images displayed that varicose blood vessels' location,in the submucosal or the inside or outside of the lumens.The ratio of high-quality image reached 72%.Conclusion The high-quality vascular imaging technology of e-THRIVE depends on appropriate injection rate and the right amount of contrast agent,the best delayed scanning time and patients with good breath-hold.
3.Percutaneous transhepatic gallbladder drainage under color Doppler ultrasound in critically ill patients

Objective:To study percutaneous transhepatic gallbladder drainage(PTGD) under color Doppler ultrasound in critically ill patients with acute calculus cholecystitis.Methods:A paracentetic needl was stuck into the cholecyst after going straight through 1.5-2.5 cm hepar under color Doppler ultrasound.The operator took out the bullet core,put in a guide wire,extracted the needl,inserted a central venous catheter along the guide wire,and then drew out the bile and clusised the cholecyst with metronidazole until the extracted fluid was clear and bright.Results:PTGD immediately relieved the pain in the of upper right quadrant in all the patients.Body temperature and WBC descended obviously 24 hours and returned to normal 5 days after the operation. Conclusion:Color Doppler ultrasound guided PTGD,easy to perform and with few complications and high suness rate,is an returned effective and reliable procedure for critically ill patients who are intolerant of cholecystectomy or for whom the operation is difficult to perform.
4.The evaluation of MRI tomograph in tibia plateau fractures diagnostic and treatment

Objective To study the clinical significance of magnetic resonance imaging in evaluation of diagnosis and treatment of tibia plateau fractures accompanying with knee joint injures.Methods From July 2000 to November 2005,52 cases of tibia plateau fractures were examined by X-ray and Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),which could accurately diagnose the splitting and depression degree of tibia plateau fractures and the knee joint injures.Results There were 52 cases of tibia plateau fractures,including 14 cases lateral plateau fractures,11 cases medial plateau fractures,11 cases total plateau fractures,18 cases tear-off fractures of tibia.MRI could accurately display fractures accompanying with knee joint injures,including fragmentation of catilago articularis,lancination and displacement of meniscus,lancination of collateral.According to MRI displacement direction of tibia plateau fractures and areas of depression could be accurately evaluated before operations.Conclusion MRI can accurately diagnose the feature of tibia plateau fractures and knee joint injuries.And according to the scope of fractures,the best treatment methods can be chosen.
5.THE EXPRESSION OF FUSION PROTEIN AFTER INJECTION OF PSP94-TNF?D11a PLASMIA DNA IN MICE

PSP94 TNF?D11a naked plasmid intramuscular injection on intact mice.PSP94 TNF?D11a cDNA cloned in pcDNA3,an eukarocytic experssion plasmid,was intramuscularly injected into the quadriceps muscle of 39 mice (50?g each). Serum was collected .The expression of fusion protein was detected by ELISA.Uninjected mice were used as control.RNA of PSP94 TNF?D11a from tissue of skeletal muscle was determined using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction analysis.The result showed that the levels of expressed protein were remarkably elevated in the serum nine days after the injection of naked plasmid DNA ,peaking on the fourteen days ,and maintaining at a detectable level up to 25 days.
6.Poly(I:C) promotes iodine excess-induced chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis in NOD mouse

AIM:To investigate the effects of poly (I:C) as virus mimics on iodine excess-induced chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis in NOD mouse. METHODS:Female,32 NOD mice were randomly divided into 4 groups:(1) control; (2) high iodine; (3) poly (I:C); (4) high iodine+poly (I:C). Nine weeks after administration,mice were sacrificed. The following parameters were determined:body weight,thyroid weight and anatomic form. Thyroid hormone (T4) in serum was measured by radioimmunoassay,the thyroid morphology was observed through HE staining,apoptosis was detected by TUNEL,the mRNA expression levels of TRAIL,TRAIL-sR1,ICAM-1 and CXCL10 were determined by the method of real time RT-PCR. RESULTS:Compared to control group and poly (I:C) group,the thyroid absolute weight and relative weight in high iodine group were increased (P0.05). CONCLUSION:Poly (I:C) aggravates chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis induced by excess of iodine associated with increase in infiltration of lymphocytes and induction of apoptosis.
7.Chemokines CCL21 and its receptor CCR7 expression in thyroid of thyroiditis in NOD mice induced by iodine excess and thyroglobulin immunization

Objective Through detecting the expression of chemokine CCL21 and its receptor CCR7 in thyroiditis of NOD mice induced by excessive iodine and thyroglobulin (Tg) immunization,to explore the mechanism of lymphocytic infiltration.Methods Seven to eight weeks old female NOD (non-obese diabetic) mice were used,the mice were divided into four groups by random number table,7 mice for each group.Control group:intoke distilled water;,Tg group:intoke'distilled water,use pig Tg emulsified in Freund's complete adjuvant subcutaneous injection to immunization,0.10 mg Tg for each mouse at 8 weeks old,strengthened immunity at 11 and 15 weeks old (0.05 mg Tg for each mouse,and emulsified by Freund's incomplete adjuvant); iodine excess (HI) group:intoke 0.05% NaI water; iodine excess combined with Tg (HI + Tg) group:intoke 0.05% NaI water,Tg immunization method was same to Tg group; all mice were raised in specific pathogen free (SPF) environment.All mice were executed at 16 weeks old,and removed the thyroid tissue.Morphologic change in thyroid was observed by HE staining.Immunofluorescence (IF) staining was used to observe CD3,CD22,CCL21 and CCR7 expression in thyroid.Real-time PCR was used to detect CCL21 mRNA expression in thyroid.Results The morphologic change of thyroid was observed under the light microscope,in HI group,thyroid follicle distended,colloid accumulation,lymphocytes accumulate together and disorganization was seen; Tg group thyroid had scatted lymphocytes; HI + Tg group enhanced inflammation response and disorganization.IF staining showed that lymphocytes infiltrated in thyroid were almost CD3+ T cells,only few scatted CD22+ B cells; CCL21 and CCR7 were negative in control group,CCR7 positive cells were scatted in Tg group but no CCL21 expression,in HI and HI + Tg groups,we could see CCL21 strong positive expression in inflammation area and also had CCR7 positive cells there.CCL21 mRNA relative expression in thyroid:Tg group (3.20 ± 0.18),HI group (1.72 ± 0.31),and HI ± Tg group (9.94 ± 0.32) increased compared to control group (1.00 ± 0.17,all P < 0.01).Conclusion CCL21 and its receptor CCR7 have improved lymphocytic infiltration in autoimmune thyroiditis

Compared to high iodine group, thyroid absolute weight and relative weight in high iodine+poly (I:C) group were further increased, the level of total T_4 in serum was further decreased (P<0.05), the ratio of inflammatory degree Ⅳ increased to 50.0%, the numbers of apoptosis cells were further enhanced, the mRNA expressions of TRAIL, TRAIL-sR1, ICAM-1 and CXCL10 were further upregulated (P<0.05). Otherwise, the tendency of all parameters in poly (I:C) group was similar to that in control group (P>0.05). CONCLUSION: Poly (I:C) aggravates chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis induced by excess of iodine associated with increase in infiltration of lymphocytes and induction of apoptosis.
9.Experimental study on hemocompatibility of domestic silicone-covered stent

Objective To evaluate the hemocompatibility of domestic silicone-covered stent in the iliac arteries of canine model. Methods Eighteen domestic stents were placed in ililac arteries of 9 adult dogs after larger ballon PTA, which included 10 silicone-covered stents and 8 bare stents for control. DSA was performed at 1,4,12 weeks after stent implantation in the iliac arteries of two groups to observe the outcomes of patency or restenosis. Animals were then euthanized isolating and stainning the stented arteries with hematoxylin and eosin for histological examination. Finally, the acute thrombosis, reendothelialization and the neointimal proliferation of both covered and bare stents were quantified on histological cross-section. Results All bare stents were patent in 12 weeks, but two silicone-covered stents were occluded at 4,12 week respectively (patent rate was 80%). Stented vascular stenosis rate was averaging 72.3% at 12 week in covered stents and 36.7% in bare stents. Conclusions The hemocompatibility of silicone-covered stents is not better than that of bare stents. Silicone appear to be inert in this experimental application.
