Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(3):364-367
Objective:
To investigate the correlation between social jetlag and psychological behavior in upper primary school students,so as to provide reference for sleep health promotion in primary school students.
Methods:
From April to June 2024, a survey was conducted among 4 341 fourth and fifth grade students from 9 public primary schools in a district in Beijing. Sleep patterns were assessed using a self designed questionnaire, while psychological behavior was evaluated using the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ)(parent version). A generalized estimating equation (GEE) model was used to examine the association between different levels of social jetlag and psychological behavior problem scores in primary school students.
Results:
The proportions of students with social jetlag of <1.0, 1.0-<2.0, and ≥2.0 h were 57.6%, 30.6%, and 11.8%, respectively. The GEE model analysis found that after adjusting for covariates, compared with primary school students with social jetlag of <1.0 h, those with 1.0 -<2.0 and ≥2.0 h had higher scores for internalizing behavior problems [ β (95% CI ) =0.23(0.05-0.41),0.28(0.02-0.54), P < 0.01]. Primary school students with ≥2.0 h of social jetlag had higher scores for externalizing behavior problems [ β (95% CI )=0.42 (0.13-0.71), P <0.01]. Among boys and primary school students with an average nighttime sleep duration of ≥9 h, comparied with social jetlag of <1.0 h,those with sucial jetlag 1.0-<2.0 h had higher scores on internalizing and externalizing behavior problems[ β (95% CI )=0.32(0.07-0.56),0.51 (0.11-0.90), 0.26 (0.06-0.46),0.58 (0.25-0.91), P <0.05].
Conclusions
Greater social jetlag may be a risk factor for internalizing and externalizing behavior problems in upper primary school students. Reducing social jetlag may help decrease the occurrence of psychological behavior problems in primary school students.

Objective:
To explore the association of screening myopia and sitting posture habits as well as screen viewing distance among primary school students, providing a scientific basis for myopia prevention and intervention among primary school students.
Methods:
From April to June 2024, a convenient sampling method was used to enroll 1 394 fourth grade students from four primary schools in a district of Beijing for vision examinations and questionnaire surveys. Logistic regression models were employed to analyze the relationship of screening myopia detection and sitting posture habits as well as viewing distance.
Results:
The screening myopia prevalence among primary school students was 63.8%. About 13.1% of students self reported poor sitting posture, and 47.1% selfreported a viewing distance of ≤20 cm. After adjusting for covariates including age, gender, school, sleep quality, parental myopia status, physical fitness level, daily high intensity physical activity, weekend outdoor activity time and types of after school services, Logistic regression analysis showed that students with poor sitting posture were more likely to have screening myopia than those with normal sitting posture ( OR =1.73,95% CI =1.03-2.92); students with a viewing distance of ≤20 cm were more likely to have screening myopia than those with a viewing distance of >20 cm( OR =1.32, 95% CI =1.02-1.71)( P <0.05). The association between sitting posture and screening myopia was more significant among boys( OR =2.00, 95% CI =1.03-3.88, P < 0.05 ). A multiplicative interaction was observed between sitting posture and viewing distance. Compared to primary school students with normal posture and a viewing distance of >20 cm, those with poor posture and a viewing distance of >20 cm were more likely to have screening myopia ( OR =1.82, 95% CI =1.12-2.96, P <0.05).
Conclusions
Both sitting posture habits and screen viewing distance are related to screening myopia in primary school students. Poor sitting posture poses a higher risk than screen distance, and the two factors exhibit an interactive effect on myopia risk.

Background Prenatal exposure to chlorinated polyfluorinated ether sulfonic acid (Cl-PFESA, commercially known as F-53B) during pregnancy has been associated with fetal growth restriction and adverse birth outcomes. These effects may be mediated by structural and functional impairments of the placenta, potentially resulting from disrupted placental angiogenesis. However, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Objective To explore the impact of prenatal F-53B exposure on fetal development, placental pathology, and the expression of genes involved in angiogenesis by establishing an F-53B exposure animal model. Methods A total of 48 sexually mature female SD rats aged 8 weeks were selected, along with 24 proven male breeders. The rats were acclimatized for one week before mating. Pregnant rats were assigned to four groups: control (0 mg·kg−1), low-dose (0.1 mg·kg−1), medium-dose (1 mg·kg−1), and high-dose (5 mg·kg−1). Half of the pregnant rats in each group were administered the test substance by oral gavage once daily from gestational day (GD) 5.5 to GD17.5. The fetuses and placentas were dissected and weighed, and placental efficiency was calculated as the ratio of fetal weight to placental weight, reflecting the placenta’s capacity to supply nutrients to the fetus. Placental histopathological alterations were assessed after hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) was conducted to assess the mRNA expression levels of angiogenesis-related genes, including hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α), vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA) and its receptor (VEGFR2), as well as downstream genes in the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (AKT) signaling pathway. To evaluate the potential impact of prenatal F-53B exposure on birth outcomes, including birth weight and gestational age, the remaining half of the pregnant rats in each group were continuously exposed to the test substance until delivery. Results F-53B exposure significantly reduced fetal weight across all exposure groups (P<0.05) and markedly increased the incidence of intrauterine growth restriction (P<0.01). Although placental weights did not differ significantly among groups, placental efficiency was significantly decreased in the high-dose group (P<0.05). The histological analysis after HE staining revealed disorganized trophoblast cell structure and a significant reduction in labyrinthine blood sinus area in the medium- and high-dose groups. The qPCR analysis showed that HIF-1α expression was significantly upregulated in the low-dose group (P<0.001), while VEGFA (P<0.01), PI3K (P<0.001), and AKT (P<0.05) expression levels were significantly downregulated in the medium- and high-dose groups. Conclusion Maternal exposure to F-53B during pregnancy may impair placental angiogenesis via VEGFA and its downstream PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, leading to placental pathological damage and increasing the risk of intrauterine growth restriction and reduced birth weight in fetuses.

Cancer Research and Clinic 2024;36(6):429-434
Objective:To investigate the driver gene mutation status and prognostic influencing factors in patients with operable lung adenosquamous carcinoma (LASC).Methods:A retrospective case series study was conducted. Clinical and pathologic data were retrospectively collected from patients with LASC who underwent surgical treatment at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University from January 2008 to December 2018, and the patients' surgically resected specimens were sequenced for epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and Kirsten rat sarcoma (KRAS) genes. The distribution of driver gene EGFR and KRAS mutations in patients was analyzed, and the differences in the distribution of mutations among patients stratified by clinical factors were compared; disease-free survival (DFS) of patients stratified by clinical factors was analyzed by the Kaplan-Meier method, and the comparison between groups was performed by the log-rank test. Results:A total of 106 patients were included, including 64 (60.4%) males and 42 (39.6%) females, aged (58±10) years old. Patients with EGFR and KRAS gene mutations accounted for 38.7% (41/106), of which 33.0% (35/106) were patients with EGFR mutations and 5.7% (6/106) were patients with KRAS mutations. The EGFR mutation loci included 19del, L858R, L861Q and 20in, and the KRAS mutation loci included G12A, G12D, G12C and G12V. Patients aged ≤65 years old, female, with lesions in the lower lobe of the left lung, non-squamous cell carcinoma as the main pathological component, and with a smoking index of <400 were more likely to have EGFR and KRAS gene mutations, but the differences were not statistically significant (all P>0.05), and there was no statistically significant difference in the proportions of patients with EGFR and KRAS gene mutations among patients with different TNM stages, T stages and N stages (all P > 0.05). The median follow-up time was 51 months (range: 14-96 months). The difference in DFS among patients with different N stages was statistically significant ( P= 0.002), and the DFS of N 0 stage was better than that of N 1, N 2 and N 3 stages, and the differences were statistically significant (all P < 0.05). The median DFS time of N 0, N 1 and N 2 stages was 44.4, 17.5 and 23.9 months, respectively, and the median DFS time of N 3 stage (1 case) was 8.7 months. Patients with different TNM stages had a tendency to have differences in DFS, but the difference was not statistically significant ( P = 0.060); the difference in DFS between patients with different pathological components was not statistically significant ( P = 0.177); patients without pleural invasion had a tendency to have better DFS than patients with pleural invasion, but the difference was not statistically significant ( P = 0.252). The difference in DFS between patients with and without driver gene EGFR and KRAS mutations was not statistically significant ( P = 0.809), and further subgroup analysis showed that the difference in DFS among mutated patients with different TNM stages was not statistically significant ( P = 0.684). Conclusions:The driver gene EGFR and KRAS mutations are more common in patients with early LASC; DFS may be related to TNM stage and N stage, but may not be related to the mutation status of EGFR and KRAS genes, the type of pathology, or whether or not the pleura is invaded. Objective To investigate the driver gene mutation status and prognostic influencing factors in patients with operable lung adenosquamous carcinoma (LASC). Objective:To investigate the clinical benefit and application value of the Da Vinci robotic surgical system through bilateral axillary areolar approach in cervical lymph node dissection in obese thyroid carcinoma patients. Methods:The clinical data of 117 patients with thyroid cancer admitted to the thyroid and breast surgery Department of the 960th Hospital of the Chinese PLA Joint Logistic Support Force from January 2018 to June 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 55 males and 62 females, aged from 17 to 64 years, with an average age of (36.05±8.77) years. According to body mass index (BMI), patients were divided into normal group (18.5 kg/m 2≤BMI< 24 kg/m 2, n=60) and obese group (BMI≥28 kg/m 2, n=57). Gender, age, BMI, operation time, postoperative drainage fluid volume, tumor diameter, central lymph node dissection and number of metastasis, cervical lymph node dissection and number of metastasis, postoperative hospital stay, postoperative aesthetic satisfaction score and surgical complications of the two groups were analyzed. SPSS 26.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data. Results:All of patients completed the operation successfully, and neither group was transferred to open surgery. The BMI of obese group was higher than that of normal group [(31.35±3.08) kg/m 2vs (22.53±0.82) kg/m 2, t=20.97, P<0.05]. The maximum tumor diameter in the obese group was greater than that in the normal group [(13.81±10.70) mm vs (10.42±5.53) mm, t=2.17, P<0.05]. There were no significant differences in operation time, number of central lymph node dissection and metastasis, number of cervical lymph node dissection and metastasis and postoperative complications between the two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Utilization of the Da Vinci robotic surgical system via the BABA approach demonstrates both safety and feasibility in obese patients with thyroid carcinoma undergoing lateral cervical lymph node dissection. Importantly, this technique does not increase the risk of surgical complications, thus providing a novel alternative for lateral cervical lymph node dissection in obese thyroid carcinoma patients.
