1.A comparative study on marvelon and estrogen for treatment of puberty dysfunctional uterine bleeding
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(07):-
Objective To explore the clinic effect of marvelon and estrogen on puberty dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Methods 50 patients were evaluated inclouding 20 patients treated by estrogen in estrogen(E) group and 30 patients treated by marvelon in progestin and estrogen(PE) group. Results The time when bleeding was stoped completely were (21.65?9.62) hours in E group and (13.68?5.67) hours in PE group(P

Background and purpose:Because of the heterogeneity of cancers, different patients with the same kind of cancer have different sensitivity for cytotoxic drugs.Newly developed ATP chemosensitivity assays(ATPTCA) offer the opportunity for individualized therapy and have shown promising results compared to standard regimens. We explored the feasibility of the ATP-Tumor Chemosensitivity Assay(ATP-TCA) applied in the treatment of ovarian cancer with chemotherapy, and evaluate the in vitro sensitivity of fresh specimens of ovarian cancer to five cytotoxic drugs.Methods:ATP-TCA was used to detect the sensitivity rate of 24 fresh specimens of ovarian cancer to five cytotoxic drugs as follows: paclitaxel(TAX),gemcitabine(GEM),doxorubicin(ADM),topotecan(TPT),cisplatin(DDP).Results:23 of 24 specimens((95.83%)) can be evaluated by ATP-TCA,the sensitive rates of ATP-TCA was 91.30% for TAX,86.96% for GEM,65.22% for ADM,47.83% for TPT and 21.74% for DDP,respectively.Conclusions:ATP-TCA was a sensitive、reliable and standardized method for the evaluation of tumor chemosensitivity,it ts worthwhile to investigate further for the application screening anticancer agents in chemotherapy of ovarian cancer.

Objective To estimate the patterns and frequency of anomalous coronary origin with angiography in the Chinese elderly population and evaluate the correlation between anomalous coronary origin and development of coronary atherosclerotic stenosis. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the basis of angiographic data among elderly patients who underwent coronary arteriography in Beijing University First Hospital. Those with anomalous origin of coronary arteries were selected for further assessment and significant stenosis in coronary arteries was recorded. Results Among 2031 patients, 46 patients were found to have anomalous origin of coronary artery, with an incidence rate of 2.3%. Right coronary artery was the most common anomalous vessel, being involved in 26 patients (56.5%). The anomalous origin was more frequent in right coronary artery than in left coronary artery (41.3%). The most common anomaly was right coronary artery arising from left coronary sinus in 13 patients (28.3%). Significant atherosclerotic lesions in the anomalous arteries were seen in 37 patients (80.4%). Conclusions In Chinese elderly population, the anomalous origin of coronary artery is more frequent in right coronary artery, the most common anomaly resides in right coronary artery arising from left coronary sinus. The anomalous coronary artery increases risk for development of coronary atherosclerotic stenosis.

Objective To discuss the clinical effect of Da Vinci robot-assisted free fibula flap for the management of mandibular and mouth segmental defect. Methods There was a patient with malignant neoplasm of lower gum, which underwent robot-assisted free fibula flap for the management of mandibular and mouth segmental defect, was analyzed. The surgery was divided into two groups:a group resected the primary tumors, another group cut fibula free flap.Use of Da Vinci robotic surgical system for vascular anastomosis and suture of the oral mucosa. Results Four weeks after surgery, the free fibula flap survived completely. There was no infection in the mouth. The patient can walk freely and eating semifluid. Conclusion The Da Vinci robotic surgical system is a stable, minimally invasive, clear and safe method for microsurgery.
