Objective To study the effects of enriched environment on the capacity of learning and memory and expression of brain derived neurotrophie factor(BDNF) expression of CA1 hippocampus in Wistar rats. Methods 20 male Wistar rats were raised from weaning(21 days old) to young adulthoed(50 -60 days old) in either an enriched or normal environment. The ability of learning and memory was measured with the Morris water maze test, and the expression of BDNF of CA1 hippocampus neuron was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results During Morris water maze test, the mean latency in enriched environment group was significantly shorter than that in the normal control group(24.37±5.45)s Vs (31.28±5.39)s;the time taken to cross the target in enriched environment group was significantly more than that in the normal control group(3.38±0.79)Vs (2.21± 0.49);the swimming distance of platform quadrant increased in the enriched environment group, and the decreased gray intensity of BDNF expression in CA1 hippoeampus was found in the enriched environment group. Conclusions Enriched environment can improve the capacity of learning and memory of the rats, which were realized may be through BDNF pathway.

Chinese Journal of Radiological Medicine and Protection 2018;38(9):660-663
Objective To investigate the clinical significance of postoperative stimulated thyroglobulin ( ps-Tg) detection in the patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma ( DTC) 131 I therapy. Methods Totally 73 cases with DTC who were hospitalized from March 2009 to March 2018 with complete treatment and follow-up data were selected as the study subjects. The cases were divided into three groups by 131I scanning image, no metastasis group (32 cases), lymph node metastasis group (31 cases), and distance metastasis group ( 10 cases ) . The levels of stimulated thyroglobulin ( s-Tg ) in serum were detected within one week before 131 I ablation for thyroid remnant and metastasis after surgical treatment. The 131I -whole body scan (131I -WBS) was performed at 3 to 5 days after 131I treatment and these cases were followed-up for 8-12 months. Results There was not statistically significant difference in ps-Tg between no metastasis group and lymph node metastasis group before 131I treatment(P>0.05). The ps-Tg in distance metastasis group was significantly higher than that in patients without metastasis and lymph node metastasis(Z= -3.810、 Z= -3.371, P<0.05). Before treatment with 131I ablation metastasis, there was not statistically difference in s-Tg among 3 groups(H=11.764, P<0.05). The area under the ROC curve of ps-Tg and s-TG diagnostic DTC distant metastasis rate before treatment of ablation for thyroid remnant was 0.903, and the accuracy were 90.48%. The area under the ROC curve of diagnosis of DTC distant metastasis and lymph node metastasis before ablation for thyroid metastasis was 0. 817 and 0.644, and the accuracy was 88.10% and 65.08%, respectively. Conclusions The accuracy of diagnosing DTC distant metastasis of ps-Tg before 131 I ablation for thyroid remnant is superior to ps-Tg before ablation forthyroid metastasis. The level of s-Tg diagnosis of DTC lymph node before 131 I ablation metastasis precede ps-Tg before 131 I ablation for thyroid remnant

Objective:To evaluate the immunogenicity of Madin-Darby canine kidney (MDCK) cell-based quadrivalent influenza split vaccine (MDCK-Va) combined with different adjuvants. Methods:Different doses of MDCK-Va and chicken embryo-based quadrivalent influenza split vaccine (egg-Va) were intramuscularly immunized BALB/c mice twice with an interval of three weeks. Serum samples were collected to detect antibody titers using hemagglutination inhibition (HI) assay. BALB/c mice were immunized with different doses of MDCK-Va combined with QS21, AddVax, PolyI∶C, CpG ODN 1826 and AddVax/PolyI∶C (Add/Poly), respectively. HI and microneutralization assays were used to detect antibody titers 21 d after the first and booster immunization. Spleen tissues were collected from the mice immunized with 10 μg MDCK-Va combined with the above adjuvants 5 d after the booster immunization to analyze spleen index and the types of spleen cells. Results:The immunoprotective effect of MDCK-Va was not inferior to that of egg-Va. MDCK-Va combined with each of the above adjuvants could induce higher HI antibody titer than MDCK-Va alone, especially the QS21/Va and Add/Poly/Va groups, and the differences were statistically significant. For H1N1 vaccine, the Pearson′s correlation coefficient ( r) between HI antibody and neutralizing antibody was 0.737-0.910, and for H3N2 subtype vaccine, the value of r was 0.839-0.947. Compared with the MDCK-Va group, the QS21/Va group showed significantly increased spleen index and decreased proportion of single lymphocytes. QS21 and Add/Poly were much better than other adjuvants in stimulating mouse splenic neutrophils and CD4/CD8 cells. Conclusions:Add/Poly had a stronger immune enhancement effect on MDCK-Va, suggesting that it was a potential adjuvant for MDCK-Va. The antibody titer detected by HI and MN assays had a strong positive correlation.

Objective:To conduct a scoping review to analyse the types, performance, advantages and disadvantages of cognitive function assessment tools for ICU patients, to provide a reference for the evaluation of cognitive function in ICU patients in future. Methods:A scoping review study was conducted, literature on cognitive function assessment tools for ICU patients in 9 domestic and foreign databases including China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, VIP Database, China Biology Medicine disc, PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase and CINAHL were systematically searched. The search period was from the establishment of the database to May 20, 2024. Literature was independently screened by 2 researchers and relevant information was extracted and summarized. Results:Totally 17 studies were included, with 9 tools for assessing cognitive function in ICU patients, including 6 questionnaires, 1 test battery, 1 assessment software, and 1 telephone interview questionnaire. All of above were generalizable tools, except for the Chinese and English versions of the John-Hopkins Adapted Cognitive Exam as ICU-specific tools. The Mini-Mental State Examination was the most widely used assessment scale. Conclusions:Appropriate assessment tools should be selected according to the specific clinical setting, but there is still a lack of specialized and standardized assessment tools for cognitive dysfunction in ICU patients. In the future, standardized tools which fit our cultural context for evaluating cognitive function in ICU patients should be developed.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2020;41(10):1547-1551
Objective:
Understanding mental health status of students with learning disabilities in Beijing to provide a basis for mental health promotion of students with learning disabilities.
Methods:
By means of random cluster sampling, 5 787 enrolled students in grade one and grade two of 11 public junior middle schools in Beijing were selected as the survey subjects. A self designed questionnaire was used to investigate the students’ learning disabilities and mental health status through anonymous self filling.
Results:
About 11.6% students self reported learning disabilities. The proportions of students with learning difficulty in mathematical reasoning and calculation were higher, 44.1% and 40.7% respectively. The reported rate of mental health problems was 38.3%. The top four of the 10 symptoms were obsessive compulsive symptoms, learning pressure, emotional instability and anxiety(2.19±0.77)(2.17±0.99)(2.09±0.90)(2.07±1.08). Compared with students without learning disabilities, students with self reported learning disabilities had poorer mental health status(OR=1.47), and learning disabilities were related to most factors of mental health. Different types of learning disabilities were associated with different mental health factors.
Conclusion
Mental health problems of students with learning disabilities are higher than that of students without learning disabilities. It is necessary to strengthen the mental health support for students with learning disabilities and improve their mental health.
