2.Indication and advances of extended resection of locally advanced lung cancer
China Oncology 2001;0(05):-
Lung cancer causes the highest number of cancer-related death in China. Complete surgical resection is currently the best treatment modality for lung cancer. However, only one third of patients with lung cancer can be identified as candidates for operation. The other two thirds are inoperable, because they have late disease with distant metastasis or locally advanced lung cancer involving neighboring organs. Recently introduction of the theory and technique of cardiovascular surgery into lung cancer surgery has made possible en bloc resection of the lung combined with part of the involved left atrium, aorta, superior vena cava, and pulmonary artery. It has made possible for the patients with locally advanced lung cancer, who were thought as surgical contraindication or incurable cases, to not only have complete resection of the tumor, but also achieved long term survival and good life quality without evidence of recurrence and distant metastasis of the cancer. This paper will provide a brief background at the progression of surgical theory and technology of locally advanced lung cancer in China. Besides, the indication, present methods, results of surgical management and multimodality treatment for locally advanced lung cancer, including extended resection and reconstruction of superior vena cava, left atrium, aorta and pulmonary artery will be presented. Finally, the perioperative management for the extended resection of locally advanced lung cancer will also be discussed.
3.Observations on the Effects of Smoking Cigarettes on Haemorheology
Journal of Kunming Medical University 1986;0(04):-
To investigate the effects of smoking on haemorheology, the differences in nine haemorheological tests between the group of 59 cigarette smokers and the group of 22 nonsmokers have been compared. The results showed that there was a significant dif- ference between them in some tests such as platelet adhesive ratio, hematocrit and whole blood viscosity, and plasma viscosity(p
4.A Study of the Levels of Serum Total and Free Thyroid Hormones in Newborns and Their Mothers
Journal of Kunming Medical University 1986;0(04):-
Serum total and free thyroid hormone concentrations were in 45 newborns, their preg- nant mothers and in 30 nonpregnant women. The levels of serum TT4, TT3, FT4, FT3 in newborns (umbilical cord serum) were significantly lower than those in pregnant mothers at term (P
5.Thirteen Cases of Obstruction of Central Retinal Artery Treated Mainly by TCM
Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1993;0(01):-
13 cases were divided on the basis of syndrome differentiation, into 2 groups, type of Qi-stagnation Blood - stasis and type of Qi - deficient Blood - stasis, and were treated with Decoction of Stasis Expelling from Blood Chamber, and Buyang Huan Wu Decoction with modifications respectively, together with Xuexuantong i.v. and retro bulbar injection of Guihong injections, all with satisfactory results. The eyesights .were ,improved, visual field expanded circulation time in retina shortened, thus saved the visual ability partially in part of the patients.
6.Evaluation of research level of medical institutions by SCI papers
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2008;21(3):171-172
The publication and citation of academic papers are important indexes to evaluate science research level of colleges and institutes and also important index to evaluate researchers. In this paper we calculated and analyzed the number of publications, cited number, and cited frequency of SCI papers in three military medical universities and one military medical research institution from 1997 to 2006, and put forward some opinions and suggestions.
7.Content Determination of Paeoniflorin in Wind-dispelling and Itching-arresting Oral Liquid by HPLC
China Pharmacy 2005;0(19):-
OBJECTIVE:To establish HPLC method for the content determination of paeoniflorin in wind-dispelling and itching-arresting oral liquid.METHODS:The determination was performed on Hypersil Gold C 18 column, the mobile phase consisted of methanol-1.5%H 3 PO 4 (35∶65)with flow rate at0.6ml/min and detection wavelength at230nm under room temperature.RESULTS:Peoniflorin was linear with peak area score when its sample size was within the range of0.0404?g~0.2020?g(r=0.9997),the average recovery was98.1%(RSD=0.99%).CONCLUSION:The method can be used to control the quality of wind-dispelling and itching-arresting oral liquid.
8.Study of Prevalence and Related Risk Factors of Fatty Liver in Railway Employees
Chinese Journal of Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases 2006;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the prevalence and the associated risk factors of fatty liver disease in railway employees. Methods 3 520 railway employees aged 21~60 were observed,1 299 cases of fatty liver who were diagnosed by uhrasonography and 2 221 normal controls.Plasma triglycerides(TG),total cholesterol(TC)and fasting blood glucose(FBG) were determined. Results The prevalence rate of fatty liver was 36.9%(1 299/3 520).It increased with age.The prevalence rate of fatty liver in the groups with different age was significantly different(x~2=14.82,P
9.Determination of Total Flavonoids and Quercetrin in Different Parts of Apocynum venetum from Songnen Grassland & Its Antioxidant Activity
China Pharmacy 2007;0(33):-
OBJECTIVE: To determine the contents of total flavonoids and quercetin in different parts of Apocynum venetum collected in Songnen grassland and study their antioxidant activities so as to provide references for efficient utilization of the herbal plant.METHODS: Ultrasonic extraction was applied to extract total flavonoids. The content of total flavonoids was determined by chromatometry and the content of quercetin was determined by HPLC.The antioxidant activities of the extracts from different parts of A.venetum were evaluated by determining their abilities in scavenging 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH?) radicals and?OH radicals.RESULTS: The contents of quercetin and total flavonoids were richer in both leaves and flowers of A.venetum than in stems. In addition, the total flavonoids extracted from the leaves and flowers of A.venetum showed higher antioxidant activity than from the stems.CONCLUSION: The leaves, flowers and stems of A.venetum can all be used as raw materials of natural antioxidants.
10.Prosthetic Reconstruction for Bladder with Glutaraldehyde-Stabilized Aminia in Rabbits
Chinese Journal of Trauma 1990;0(04):-
The result of experimental study of the bladder replacement with the glutaraldehyde-stalized amimia in 10 rabbits is reported. This kind of aminia, as a substitute for the bladder, replaced 1/3 bladder (n=4), 2/3 (n=5) and subtotal bladder (n=1) in rabbits, with observation for 2 weeks (n=4), 5 weeks (n=5), 6 months (n=1) and 30 months (n=1). The result showed that all replacements of the bladders were succesful. The aminia is probably the best biologic material at present for replacement of the bladder
