Objective To study the DNA damage effect of the organic extracts from Chlorinated domestic sewage coming from three different places in vivo and in vitro. Methods The domestic sewage samples were collected from different places:university A, university B and a hotel. The DNA damage effect was tested in the bacteria, cells and BALB/C mouse by single cell gel electrophoresis (comet assay), the micronucleus test, Ames test. Results Comet assay indicators:all three samples, before chlorinated, at the dosages of 1.0, 5.0 mg/ml, after chlorinated, at the dosages of 0.04, 0.2, 1.0, 5.0 mg/ml for university A, 0.2, 1.0, 5.0 mg/ml for a hotel, 1.0, 5.0 mg/ml for university B, were significantly higher than those in the negative group(P

The macroscopy and ultrasondgraphy analysis for thirty reseeted specimens of esophageal carcinoma proved by pathology was reported in this paper. The ultrasonic features of esophageal carcinoma as follows:the local wails became thicker, their layers were unclear or disap-peared,the normal walls were insteaded of irregular masses with hypoechoic patterns, the borders of the masses were definite or indefinite, and the posterior echoes of the masses had little change. In addi-tion,the depth of tumor invasion Was compared by the ultrasonography and pathology. The ultrasonic features of the esophageal walls without tumor were also described.

Objective :To study the effect of MMP-1,TIMP-1,VEGF and t-PA,PAI-1 in the inflammatory process of endometrium cell and the active components of SQ.Methods: ICC,ISH and WB was used to test the level of protein of MMP-1,TIMP-1,VEGF and t-PA,PAI-1 and mRNA of MMP-1,TIMP-1 and VEGF of endometrium cell in regular group, pattern group,GongXueNing group and SQ group.Result: In contrast with model group, the level of MMP-1protein and mRNA expression obviously decreased, but the level of TIMP-1 and VEGF increased in SQ group, there were signifi cant differences(P

Objective To explore the role of mouse dermis-derived mesenchymal stem cells (mdMSC) on skin repair. Methods mdMSC and human dermal fibroblasts were isolated and identified. Human dermal fibroblasts were cultured alone or eoeultured with mdMSC in Transwell chambers with the density ratio of human dermal fibroblasts to mdMSC being 2/5, 1/1, and 2/1. On day 4 and 8 of culture, the expression levels of hydroxyproline and transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) 1 were measured in the supematant of monoculture and coculture by alkaline hydrolysis and ELISA respectively. Results The level of hydro-xyproline was significantly higher in the supematants of coculture system with a density ratio of 2/5 and 1/1 than that in monoculture supematants of human dermal fibroblasts on day 8 (both P < 0.05). Elevated level of TGF-betal was observed in all coculture supematants on day 8 (all P < 0.01) and in the supernatants of coculture system with a density ratio of 1/1 on day 4 (P < 0.05). There was no significant correlation between the expression level of TGF-betal and hydroxyproline in the coculture supernatants (r = 0.108, P > 0.05). Conclusion In vitro coculture with mdMSC can increase the production of hydroxyproline and TGF-betal by fibroblasts, which may be a mechanism underlying the facilitation of skin repair by mdMSC.

The tools used for the literature quality evaluation are introduced. The common evaluation tools that are publicly and extensively used for the evaluation of clinical trial literature quality in the world are analyzed, including Jadad scale, Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT) statement and Grades of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) system and the others. Additionally, the present development, updates and applications of these tools are involved in analysis.

International Journal of Surgery 2011;38(9):605-608
ObjectiveOne hunred and twenty-four To probe into application value of ultrasound guided Catheterization in internal jugular vein. MethodsOne hundrel and twenty-four guided by ultrasound puncture holder, single-channel or three-channel catheter was embedded into jugular vein. ResultsThe catheter was inserted successfully by only one procedure in all the 124 patients. There was no complication. ConclusionsThe catheterization becomes safer, convenient and quickly with ultrasound puncture holder guidance, decreasing failure rate and complication of the procedure.

Objective To screen for differentially expressed proteins in sera from patients with common types of psoriasis, and to identify plasma protein markers for psoriasis. Methods Serum samples were collected from 6 patients with progressive psoriasis vulgaris,5 patients with erythroderma psoriaticum, and 6 healthy human controls, and then pooled into 3 pools:psoriasis vulgaris pool, erythroderma psoriaticum pool and control pool. After removal of high-abundance albumin and IgG,the pooled samples were analyzed by two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE).An electrophoretic gel image analysis software was used to locate differentially expressed protein spots followed by peptide mass fingerprinting with matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS).The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) protein databases were then searched for the identification of differentially expressed proteins. Results All the three pooled serum samples were well seperated by 2-DE.As the gel image analysis software showed, there were 33 protein spots differentially expressed between the patients with psoriasis vulgaris and the healthy controls,17 between the patients with erythroderma psoriaticum and the healthy controls, and 26 between the patients with psoriasis vulgaris and those with erythroderma psoriaticum.Finally,14 proteins were identified as differentially expressed proteins. The patients with psoriasis vulgaris showed higher expression of complement component 3,interleukin-16,vitamin D-binding protein and α1-antitrypsin compared with the healthy controls; the patients with erythroderma psoriaticum showed increased expression of complement component 3,complement component H,α1-antitrypsin,hemopexin and haptoglobin, but decreased expression of serum amyloid protein compared with the healthy controls,as well as enhanced expression of α1-antitrypsin,complement component H,complement component 4 and haptoglobin compared with those with psoriasis vulgaris. Conclusion Differences exist in serum protein profiles between patients with psoriasis vulgaris and erythroderma psoriaticum, and healthy human controls.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 1991;0(02):-
Objective To discuss causation and clinical treatment of complication in anterior decompression and fixation technique (ADFT) for thoracolumbar fractures with associated paraplegia. Methods A total of 204 cases that had thoracolumbar fractures with paraplegia were operated with ADFT from 1998 to 2004. Of all, 51 times (34 cases) of complication took place. Change of Cob angle was measured according to X-film of thoracolumbar spine before and after operation. Meanwhile, sensation and motion of patients was evaluated. Results There was incision infection leading to septic cerebo-meningtis in one case, CSF leakage in seven, pneumothorax in eight, rib nerve-root injure in five, lumbar nerve-root injure in two, genitofemoral nerve injure in three, lateral femoral cutaneous nerve injure in two, kyphosis in three, deep venous thrombosis in three and eight times of skin-temperature change. X-film that was taken after operation for all patients showed scolisis in five cases. A follow up for 3-6 years (average 2.5 years) was performed in 84 cases, of which seven cases had chronic low-back pain, six scolisis and five kyphosis. No patient showed complications such as screw breakage, plate breakage, fixation device loosening and pseudo-articulation in thoracolumbar spine. Conclusions Many complications can be avoided if we master well anterior decompression and fixation technique of thoracolumbar fracture, reduce surgical trauma and give appropriate and rational guide for rehabilitation.
