Objective To study the clinical characteristics and imaging features of alien hand syndrome (AHS). Methods We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 3 typical cases in our hospital,in comparison with case reports and reviews of domestic and foreign during the past decade. Result All 3 patients showed corpus callosum lesions from CT or MRI detections. The symptoms of the patients included alien hand sign , abnormal involuntary movements, intermanual conflict of upper limbs, and so on. And the patients accompanied with emotional and cognitive changes. Two of them were improved in different degrees after treatment. Conclusion AHS was a complex disease. The diagnosis of this syndrome was based on the advanced neuroimaging. There was still no well established treatment for AHS.

AIM: To establish the quality standard for Compound Songluo Granule (Rhizoma Corydalis, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Lichen Usneae). METHODS:Rhizoma Corydalis, Radix Angelicae Sinensis were identified by TLC. Usnic acid in Lichen Usneae was determined by TLCS. RESULTS: Rhizoma Corydalis, Radix Angelicae Sinensis could be detected by TLC. Usnic acid showed a good linear relationship at the range of 0. 50～2.50 ?g, r=~0.999 9. The average recovery was 97.5% and RSD was 2.61%, respectively. CONCLUSION:The method is available with a good reproducibility and can be used for the quality control of Compound Songluo Granule.

Thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor(TSHR)is an important autoantigen whose cleavage and shedding can induce autoimmunity.The TSHR is the main functional receptor of the thyroid.The shedding of the ? subunit plays an important role in the forming of TSAb and balancing between TSAb and TBAb.Research on the cleavage and shedding of the TSHR extracellualar domain helps to gain a deep insight into the structure and function of TSHR,illuminate the pathogenesis of autoimmune thyroid disease and find out a new therapy.The structure of TSHR,the mechanism and the significance of its cleavage and shedding are reviewed in this article.

Objective To investigate alterations in epigenetic regulation in B cells in subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE).Methods Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) were isolated from the peripheral venous blood of SCLE patients and healthy donors with density gradient centrifugation.B cells were isolated with CD19 micro beads and protocols provided by the manufacturer.Total RNAs were isolated with RNA kits.The expressions of silence information regulator 1 (Sirt1) mRNA were investigated with quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction (PCR).Results The levels of Sirt1 mRNA were significantly increased in SCLE B cells relative to healthy controls (P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions Histone modifications appear abnormal in B cells in SCLE.

Objective To optimize the method and condition s for the extraction process of Fushuning Granules.Methods Different factors and levels were in vestigated by orthogonal design wit h yields of oleanolic acid and tanshi noneⅡ A as the markers.The yields of effective com ponents by percolation and reflux we re compared.Results The extraction ratio by re-flux was higher than that by percolation.The primary factors influencin g extraction ratio by reflux were the pulverization degree of medicinal materials,concentration of alcohol,refluxing times and refluxing perio d.Conclusion The opti-mum extraction process was:refluxing and extracting the pulverized med icinal materials for 3times(1hours each time )with 6-fold 90%alcohol added in the f irst time and then 5-fold in the secon d and the third time.

Methods After being intervened by AGEs for some time,cell viability was detected by MTT.2′,7′-dichlorofluorescein diacetate(DCFH-DA) was used as a reactive oxygen species(ROS) capture agent.The fluorescent intensity of 2′,7′-dichlorofluorescein(DCF),which was the product of cellular oxidation of DCFH-DA,was detected by flow cytometry,and the level of ROS was thus measured. Objective To characterize the nasal resonance of children with spastic cerebral palsy by comparing it with that of ordinary school-age children.Methods The mean nasalance scores (MNSs) of 90 normal school-age children and 62 school-age children with spastic cerebral palsy were measured and compared.Results (1) Age has significant effects on the MNS of/a/,/i/and/m/ in ordinary children,but has almost no effect on the MNS of/u/.The MNS of/a/,/i/,/u/ and/m/ in children with spastic cerebral palsy does not change with age.(2) Sex only has a significant relationship with the MNS of/i/ in ordinary children,but does not significantly predict the other MNSs.(3) The MNS of/a/ of children with spastic cerebral palsy is significantly lower than that of ordinary children,and their MNS of/i/ and /u/ is significantly greater than those of ordinary children.Conclusions The MNS of /a/,/i/and /u/first increases and then decreases with age in ordinary children,while the MNS of/m/ increases gradually.Children with spastic cerebral palsy did not show the same trends and demonstrated a state of retardation of nasal resonance.Children with spastic cerebral palsy are more likely to display hypernasality than ordinary children.

Objective: Our aim was to investigate whether the immune RNA (iRNA) can inhibit the endotoxin-induced uveitis (EIU). Methods: The EIU was induced by injecting endotoxin of E.Coli into rats hypodermically. iRNA was abstracted from the livers and spleens of the rabbits which had been injected by E.Coli six times. The iRNA was introduced intraperitoneally into the rats both at half an hour and 3 hours after the injection of endotoxin. The effect of iRNA was evaluated by protein determination and cell count in aqueous houmer(AH). Results: The appearance of EIU in the iRNA treated rats was delayed, about 3 hours later than the rats received only endotoxin injection. The AH protein decreased by 58.34% and cellular infiltration decreased by 27.62% in iRNA treated group at the 24 hours. Conclusion: The iRNA may partly prevent the development of EIU and significantly reduce the severity of EIU.
