International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2016;37(14):1907-1908,1911
Objective To investigate the correlation between the glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) detection data and hemo‐rheological indicators in diabetes patients to provide reference basis for its treatment and prevention .Methods One hundred and forty‐two patients with typeⅡdiabetes mellitus(T2DM ) in the hospital were selected as the research subjects and divided into the A group(69 cases ,better control) and B group(73 cases ,poor control) according to the HbA1c detection results .Contemporaneous 70 healthy individuals undergoing physical examination were selected as the control (C group) .The detection results of HbA1c ,hemo‐rheology and biochemical indexes were performed the contrastive analysis .Results Except hematocrit and erythrocyte deformation index without statistical difference among 3 groups(P>0 .05) ,the other hemorheologic indicators had statistical differences among 3 groups(P<0 .05) .No matter the HbA1c level in T2DM patients ,the hemorheological indexes ,triglyceride and total cholesterol were higher than those in the healthy people ,When the HbA1c leve was poorly controlled ,the increase degresss of various indexes were more significant .Conclusion The abnormality of hemorheology indices exist in most of the patients with diabetes mellitus .It is recommended that clinic should monitor the HbA1c level for long term and strictly observe the change of hemorheology indexes to guide the clinical treatment for reaching the effects of early vascular protection and prevention of diabetic complications .
2.Essential role of thyroid hormones in brain developm ent
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2001;0(05):-
Thyroid hormones (TH) play an imp or tant role in the development and maturity of the mammalian brain. Maternal TH de ficiency, even subclinical hypothyroidism, leads to poor neurodevelopment of the fetus. Screening of pregnant women for hypothyroidism is recommended. Identific ation of the TH-responsive genes in the developing brain and investigation on t heir functions are helpful to provide insights into the molecular mechanisms by which TH influence brain development.
3.Clinical Evaluation of Pulmonary Nodules and Calification in Nodules with Dual-energy Subtraction Digital Radiography
Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(01):-
Objective To evaluate the clinical value of dual-energy subtraction digital radiography in diagnosing the pulmonary nodulesand calification in nodules. Methods Using American GE Revolutln DR-XR systems,All 80 patients were examined by dual-energy.Tissus images、bone images and the original digital radiographic images were obtained.Dual-energy digital subtraction images were compared with the original digital radiographic images. Results Of 186 pulmonary nodules proved by CT,126(94 uncalified and 32 calified)were detected by tissues images and bone images and 109(83 uncalified and 26 calified)were detected by the original digital radiographic images. Conclusion Dual-energy subtraction imaging is superior to the original digital radiographic images in detection of pulmonary nodules and calification in a nodule.Dual-energy subtraction images can act as a complement for the original digital radiographic images.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 1995;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the clinical features and prognosis of elderly patients with acute panereatitis. Methods One hundred and twelve elderly patients with acute pancreatitis were included in our study. The clinical features and prognosis were compared with those of the 120 non -aged patients with acute pancreatitis during the same period. Results Cholecystolithiasis was the most common etiology of acute pancreatitis in both groups[81 cases(66.3%) in aged group,70 cases (58.3%) in non-aged group].Abdominal pain was the most common symptom in both groups, followed by fever. Two elderly cases were diagnosed only by autopsy because of mild abdominal pain and rapidly attack of shock. There were 31 cases with severe pancreatitis in aged group and 14 in non -aged group (P

Objective To discuss effects of anti-inflammatory mechanism of amygdalin on rats with type II collagen-induced arthritis (CIA). Methods Wistar rats were randomized into normal group, model group, amygdalin group, and tripterygium group. Type II CIA rat models were established. From the 15th day after the modeling establishment, each administration group was given corresponding dose of medicine for continuous 28 days. Levels of TNF-αand sICAM-1 were detected by ELISA in serum of rats, and expression of TNF-α was detected by immuno-histochemical method. Results TNF-α positive expression in amygdalin group and tripterygium group was similar and significantly reduced compared with model group. Levels TNF-α and sICAM-1 in amygdalin group and tripterygium group significantly decreased compared with those in model group (P<0.05), without significant difference compared with normal group (P>0.05). Conclusion Amygdalin can inhibit the expression of TNF-α and levels of TNF-α and sICAM-1, in order to treat rheumatoid arthritis.

Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2011;10(2):145-147
Anatomical hepatic segmentectomy is the treatment of choice for hepatolithiasis. However, in consideration of the volume of residual liver and the liver function, anatomical polysegmentectomy of the bilateral lobes for hepatolithiasis is restricted. Protection of the portal pedicles to the segments preserved and avoidance of ischemia/reperfusion injury to the residual liver parenchyma are critical steps during the operation.A female patient with hepatolithiasis and had a surgical history of choledocholithiasis removal and T-tube drainage received ana tomic polysegmentectomy with segments Ⅰ and Ⅳ preservation at the General Hospital of Kunming Medical College. During the operation, Portal pedicles to the segments Ⅰ , Ⅱ, right lobe, and segments Ⅱ and Ⅲ were isolated prior to liver parenchyma transection. Portal pedicles to segments Ⅰ and Ⅳ were protected under direct visualization. Hepatoduodenal ligament occlusion was not applied during liver parenchyma transaction. Segments Ⅱ- Ⅲ and Ⅴ-Ⅷ were anatomically resected, and segments Ⅰ ,Ⅳ were preserved with satisfactory vascularization. The patient recovered uneventfully and was discharged 14 days after the operation.

Objective: To investigate the enhancive effect of TNF-α on transfection efficiency of adenovi-rus in mononuclear cells of mouse and the enhancive capability of protection of bone marrow by MDR1. Meth-ods: Before the mononuclear cells of mouse were infected by recombinant adenovirus encoding human MDR1 gene, they had been pretreated by TNF-α. Transfection efficiency of adenovirus was monitored by fluo-rescence microscopy, immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry (FCM). mRNA and protein levels of MDR1 in the mononuclear cells of mouse were detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blot before and after treatment of TNF-α. Results: After treatment of TNF-α, tansfection rates of adenovirus were obviously increased in the treated group (26.26%) compared with the untreated group (11.96%). mRNA levels and protein levels of MDR1 were obviously increased in the treated group compared with the untreated group. Conclusion: TNF-α could enhance transfection efficiency of adenovirus in mononu-clear cells of mouse and enhance capability of protection of bone marrow by MDR1.

We surveyed the graduate students at Peking University Health Science Center for the difficulties during their study. The result showed that the major difficulties were job pressure, completing studies and economic burden. Some students were also bothered by love affairs, health conditions and interpersonal relationship. Suggestions were made for future work to help these students to cope with such difficulties to complete their study smoothly.
