Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(01):-
To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of renal trauma, a retrospective analysis of 300 patients with renal trauma was carried out. Among them, 274 (91 3%) had blunt renal injuries and 26 (8 7%) had penetrating injuries; 123 (41%) had multiple complicated intraabdominal injuries and 56 (18%) had concomitant shock. The positive rate was 48 7% by regular dose IVU examination and 90 9% by double dose IVU, 79 3% by ultrasonography, and 95 7% by CT. One hundred and eighty five patients were cured by conservative treatment. Fourteen patients died. B ultrasound could be conveniently used for primary assessment of renal injuries, while CT showed rapid and accurate condition of a renal trauma patient. The treatment depends on the severity of the injury. The conservative treatment was employed in most cases which present slight or moderate injury with no evident massive bleeding. Severe injury required surgical exploration. The operative approach was done through a transabdominal incision, which made it relatively easy to explore the abdominal contents and to manage the injured kidney. It was also very important to control shock and prevent other severe complications in the early stage of the treatment.

A method of simultaneous determination of the eleven phenol and aniline dyes in oxidative hair dyes by ultrasonic-assisted extraction and high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry was developed. The orthogonal and single-factor experiments were designed to and optimize the ultrasonic-assisted extraction conditions, and the samples were extracted using 10 mL of 5% methanol under the conditions of ascorbic acid as an antioxidant for 10 min. The gradient elution program and the electrospray ionization mode change were together used for the optimization of the measurements, and the determinations were completed by using the multi-reaction monitoring scan. The detection limits were 1. 15-9. 43 μg/g, the recoveries of spiked samples were 88. 0%-118. 1%. The method can be used to determine trace prohibited and restricted dyes in hair dyes.

Purpose:To study whether the inhibition of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/Akt survival pathway could sensitize the response of tumor cells to some chemotherapyeutic agents. Methods:The different tumor cells has been treated with the combination of isoform specific Akt inhibitor and either adriamycin or camptothecin; the quantitation of the induction of apoptosis by drugs has been estimated with caspase 3 assay; immunoprecipitation western blotting has been used to evaluate the inhibition of the phosphorylation of different isoforms of Akt after the treatment. Results:①The inhibitors could reduce the phosphorylation of Threonine 308 and Serine 473 of isoform specific Akt. ②The inhibition of any one isoform specific Akt could not reverse the resistance of tumor cells tested to chemotherapeutic drugs, but it is not the same case if blocking of two isoforms of both Akt1 and Akt2 was done at the same time. ③The synergistic effects of Akt inhibitors is maybe relative to the level of endogenous PTEN(phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome 10) expression. Conclusions:It is required to inhibit two isoforms of both Akt1 and Akt2 in order to maximally sensitize the tumor cells to chemotherapy.
