Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2013;21(4):229-234
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a malignant digestive tract tumor resulted from genetic and environmental factors and can be accompanied by a series of gene mutations. The etiology of CRC,particularly the role of gut microbiota imbalance, has became a hot research topic along with the increase of its prevalance. In this article,we elucidate the potential roles and mechanisms of streptococcus gallolyticus, fusobacterium,Escherichia coli,Bacteroides fragilis, and helicobacter wlori in the development of CRC,with an attempt to further understand the functions of microbiota, search for possible specific carcinogenic strains, and improve the management of CRC.
2.Alteration of gut microbiota associated with colorectal cancer
Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2013;21(4):235-240
Human guts harbor abundant microbes that regulate many aspects of host physiology. However, bacterial imbalance or dysbiosis in the gut due to the dietary or environmental changes may cause colorectal cancer (CRC).Therefore,it is theoretically and clinically important to explore the correlation between possible carcinogenic bacteria and CRC and thus reduce CRC incidence by regulating intestinal microecological balance through the application of microecological preparations.
3.The application of CHA2DS2-VASc score in ischemic stroke patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation
Chinese Journal of Nervous and Mental Diseases 2014;(1):21-25
Objective To study the relationship between CHA2DS2-VASc score and intracranial atherosclerosis, Chinese ischemic stroke subclassification (CISS) classification and the early neurological outcomes in ischemic stroke pa-tients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF), and to evaluate the clinical value of CHA2DS2-VASc score. Methods The retrospective analysis method was used. The data from 149 cases of ischemic stroke patients with NVAF was retro-spectively analyzed. The clinical data mainly included clinical manifestations, routine lab tests, imaging examinations such as the color-echo doppler, brain CT and/or MRI and angiographic studies of CTA and/or MRA of brain, CHA2DS2-VASc score, the CISS and the National Institutes of Health stroke scale (NIHSS). Results The CHA2DS2-VASc score was significantly higher in patients with intracranial atherosclerosis than those without [(5.13±1.39) vs. (4.14±1.67)] (P<0.05). The occurrence rates of intracranial atherosclerosis were significantly different among different CHA 2DS2-VASc score subgroups (0~1, 2~3, 4~5 and≥6 subgroups) (P<0.05). There were significant differences in CHA2DS2-VASc score among CS+LAA group, CS+LAA+PAD,group CS, group and CS+PAD group (all P<0.05). There was statistical difference in CHA2DS2-VASc score between patients with and without improvements (P<0.05). Conclusion The CHA2DS2-VASc score may be associated with concomitant intracranial atherosclerosis of ischemic stroke patients with NVAF which can be used to predict the condition of intracranial atherosclerosis. The CHA2DS2-VASc score is positively correlated with se-verity of ischemic stroke with NVAF which can be used to predict the disease improvements in patient with NVAF.
4.A correlation between benign prostate hyperplasia and atherosclerosis
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2011;30(11):919-920
ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation between benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) and atherosclerosis (AS).Methods 95 cases were divided into two groups based on prostate volume (PV):24 cases with non-BPH (PV≤20 ml) and 71 cases with BPH (PV>20 ml).Carotid intinal medial thickness (IMT) was determined by high resolution color Doppler sonography.ResultsLevels of triglyeeride (TG),hypersensitive C reactive protein (hs-CRP),ln fasting insulin [ln (FINS)],ln insulin resistance index [ln (HO)MA-IR)] and IMT in BPH group were significantly higher than in non-BPHgroup.The morbidity rate of coronary heart disease and cerebral arteriosclerosis in the BPH group enhanced as compared with non-BPH group.PV were positively correlated with ln(FINS),ln(HOMA-IR),TG and high density lipoprotein (HDL-C).Conclusions BPH is closely correlated with AS and their co-pathogenesis might be insulin resistance, inflammatory reaction and endothelial dysfunction.
5.Elution of urinary proteins preserved on nitrocellulose membrane with heating.
Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2015;31(9):1387-1392
The preservation of urinary proteins on a membrane plays a vital role in biomarker research, and the efficient elution of proteins preserved on nitrocellulose membrane (NC membrane) determines the application of this method. During the heating elution procedure, we raised the temperature to reduce the intense vortexing time, and kept gentle rotating while precipitation to prevent nitrocellulose reformation. We also used SDS-PAGE and LC-MS/MS to analyze the urinary proteins prepared by heating elution procedure, intense vortexing elution procedure and acetone precipitation method. There was no degradation of proteins prepared by heating elution procedure. Compared with proteins prepared by heating elution method and acetone precipitation method, the overlapping rates of the proteins was almost the same (92.6% versus 96.8%) and the ratios of CV values (< 20%) of the proteins were both high (85.2% and 94.4%). The heating elution procedure achieved good technical reproducibility, and was much simpler and more efficient than the previous one. It can facilitate the application of the preservation of urinary proteins on membrane.

6.Progress in the mechanism of post-traumatic insulin resistance
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 2004;0(06):-
Insulin resistance(IR) develops following major injury to the body, including serious trauma, surgical infection and burn. Metabolic disorders due to IR have a serious impact on energy production and attenuate body capacity of anti-infection and anti-shock. Therefore, the research about the mechanism of post-traumatic insulin resistance will be beneficial to improving patients' metabolism situation.
7.Research advances in molecular mechanism of pharmacological actions of oxymatrine
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2015;(6):759-762
Oxymatrine is the main effective monomer of Radix Sophorae flavescentis( Kushen) , which has a variety of pharma-cological actions and valuable clinical applications. Recently, there are many reports about molecular mechanisms of oxymatrine pharmacological actions, giving highly attention to the anti-in-flammatory, anti-fibrosis and antineoplastic effects. These effects are achieved through resisting of oxidation and free radical, anti- <br> virus, and affecting the secretion of inflammatory factor and ap-optosis and so on. This article summarizes the reports on the mo-lecular mechanism of the protection on liver, cardiovascular sys-tem, endocrine system and nervous system, hoping to provide theoretical basis for the practical application.
