Journal of Regional Anatomy and Operative Surgery 2017;26(6):455-457
Objective To explore the method of three-dimensional reconstruction of fetal bilateral renal artery and its application value of three-dimensional visualization model. Methods One case of 31 weeks fresh fetal bilateral kidney specimens was infused with epoxy resin-titanium dioxide and then casted.Obtained the original two-dimensional CT image data sets through CT thin layer scanning of the casting mold.Reconstructed the three-dimensional model of fetal bilateral renal artery with the Mimics 17.0 software, and the model was compared with the casting mold specimen. Results The casting mold specimen of fetal bilateral renal artery clearly showed the shallow blood vessels, but it was difficult to observe the deep renal arteries. On the contrary, the three-dimensional model of fetal bilateral renal artery could help to observe and measure the deep renal arteries accurately, but it failed to show the shallow blood vessels clearly. Conclusion Based on the advantage of the three-dimensional model fetal bilateral renal artery and casting mold specimens, the direction and distribution of fetal bilateral renal arteries could be displayed with stereoscopic multi-level through the combination of virtual and reality, which may provide a reliable morphological data for anatomy teaching and fetal basic medical research information.

Journal of Integrative Medicine 2011;9(6):658-664
Objective: To observe the effects of electroacupuncture (EA) at Tianshu (ST25) on pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines in sodium taurocholate-induced severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) in rats. Methods: Sixty-six male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups: sham-operation group, SAP group and EA group. An SAP model was established by injecting 3.5% sodium taurocholate at a dose of 1 mL/kg through puncturing the pancreatic duct. In the EA group, EA at ST25 was performed with sparse-dense wave (2/100 Hz, 2 mA for 30 min) immediately after sodium taurocholate injection and 30 min before sacrifice. Rats were sacrificed at 3 (n=7), 6 (n=7) and 12 h (n=8) after operation. Levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and IL-10 in serum were estimated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Pathological changes of pancreatic tissues were examined by hematoxylin and eosin staining and observed under a microscope and also scored. Results: The levels of serum TNF-α and IL-6 of SAP rats were significantly higher than those of sham-operation rats at 3, 6 and 12 h. The level of IL-10 in serum of SAP rats was significantly higher than that of sham-operation rats at 3 and 6 h (P<0.05). EA at ST25 down-regulated the levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in serum and up-regulated the level of IL-10 and the ratio of IL-10/TNF-α, also attenuated the morphological damages at 6 and 12 h (P<0.05) in rats with SAP. The pathological scores of pancreatic tissues in the EA group were significantly less than those in the SAP group at 6 and 12 h (P<0.05). Conclusion: EA at ST25 may have a therapeutic effect on rats with SAP by down-regulating the levels of TNF-α and IL-6 and up-regulating the level of IL-10 to re-establish the balance of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines, and to ameliorate the inflammatory response of SAP.

Biomphalaria straminea, the intermediary host of Schistosoma mansoni, was found by survey in local areas of Shen-zhen City in 1981,which was the first finding of the snail in inland China. By 2013,the snail had spread in large range of Shen-zhen City and overspread to the surrounding regions,Dongguan City and Huizhou City. Due to the facts that Shenzhen City has many international communications and is a key area of labor export, with high population mobility, while the reports of S. manso-ni infection in the returnees of our country from Africa have been increasing recently,it must be paid a high attention to whether the epidemic or transmission of schistosomiasis mansoni may happen under the present circumstance. This paper initially discusses the finding, distribution, spreading and overspreading and transmission risk of B. straminea in inland China and puts forward some related control suggestions.

Objective To compare the clinical effects of mini phalangeal external fixation and mini plate in the treatment of intraarticular fractures of the metacarpal bone head, and to provide a theoretical basis for clinical selection of surgical plan. Methods Seventy?four cases of metacarpal bone head intraarticular fractures treated in Huizhou People′s Central Hospital from March 2014 to March 2016 were selected as the research object. All cases were closed fractures and were randomly divided into the external fixation group and the mini plate group,37 cases in each group and treated respectively with the mini phalangeal external fixator and mini AO plate. The patients were followed up for 6 months to 1 year, the function of the metacarpophalangeal joint, the union of the fracture and the incidence of side effects were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent rates of the external fixation group at 6 months and I year after operation were 91. 9% ( 34/37) and 97. 3%( 36/37) respectively, which were significantly higher than those of the mini plate group ( 73. 0%( 27/37) ,81. 2%( 30/37 ) ) , the difference was statistically significant (χ2 = 7. 120, 7. 062, P<0. 05 ) . The complication rate of the external fixation group was 2. 7%( 1/37) ,which was significantly lower than that of the mini plate group ( 24. 3% ( 9/37 ) ) , the difference was statistically significant ( P=0. 014 ) . The average fracture healing time in the external fixator group was (2. 6±0. 4) months, which was significantly lower than that in the mini plate group (3. 1±0. 7) months, the difference was statistically significant (t=2. 40,P<0. 001) . Conclusion In the treatment of metacarpal bone head fracture, the external fixation has small trauma, can do cross joint fixation, and maintain a good fixation strength, and promote the healing of fracture and the recovery of metacarpophalangeal joint function. It is worthy of clinical application.

AIM: Investigated the relationship between NF-κB activation and cell apoptosis in mouse macrophages treated with 7-ketochesterol (7-KC). METHODS: Cell apoptosis was detected by MTT assay, DNA fragmentation assay and flow cytometric analysis. NF-κB activation was detected by western blot and immunohistochemistry. Inhibitory assay was used to show the effect of the activation of NF-κB on the apoptosis induced by 7-KC. RESULTS: 7-KC inhibited macrophages proliferation, and then induced apoptosis, which is associated with NF-κB activation. Moreover, cell apoptosis with NF-κB activation was inhibited by pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (PDTC), an inhibitor of NF-κB. CONCLUSION: 7-KC induced the activation of NF-κB and following cell apoptosis.
