OBJECTIVE To analyze the effect of advanced glycation end products(AGEs) on apoptosis of cultured mouse spiral ganglion cells(SGCs) and expression of receptor of AGEs(RAGE). To explore the pathway of AGEs in promoting apoptosis of SGCs. And to explore the possible mechanism of neural presbycusis. METHODS The effect of AGEs on apoptosis of SGCs was studied by Tunel technique and fluorescence microscope. The expression of RAGE mRNA was assayed by Real time RT-PCR. RESULTS AGEs induced apoptosis of cultured SGCs. The effects were dose-dependent and time-dependent. Meanwhile RAGE mRNA expression was enhanced in apoptosis cells. CONCLUSION AGEs induced apoptosis in SGCs,which may be mediated by RAGE. And this may be one of the mechanisms of neural presbycusis.

Objective To investigate the effect of free toe transplantation in finger reconstruction. Methods Free toe transplantations were performed in 164 patients (185 fingers) suffering from finger defection. There were 134 males and 30 females, aged at 12-83 years [mean (44.8 ± 11.2)years].Finger deletion severity was classified as grade Ⅰ in one case, grade Ⅱ in 18,grade Ⅲ in 23,grade Ⅳ in 49,grade Ⅴ in 54,and grade Ⅵ in 19.According to Gilbert standards, dorsal metatarsal arteries were classified as type Ⅰ in 68 cases, type Ⅱ in 84,and type Ⅲ in 12.Survival ratio of the transplanted fingers and hand function rehabilitation were observed. Results The transplanted toe survived in 160 cases (173 fingers). They composed of all the cases of grade Ⅰ-Ⅴ finger deletion and 15 cases of grade Ⅵ finger deletion; all the cases of type Ⅰ dorsal metatarsal arteries,83 cases of type Ⅱ dorsal metatarsal arteries and nine case of type Ⅲ dorsal metatarsal arteries.Transplantation failed in four cases (12 fingers) of grade Ⅵ finger defection including one case of Gilbert Ⅱ dorsal metatarsal arteries and three cases of Gilbert Ⅱ dorsal metatarsal arteries.Postoperative results were excellent in 110 cases and good in 50.Conclusions Toe transplantation is helpful to restore the finger shape and function and the outcome is satisfactory.Anatomic deformation of dorsal metatarsal arteries is the main cause for the failure of finger reconstruction.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the aminoglycoside modifying enzymes genes of multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii(MDR-ABA).METHODS The four kinds aminoglycoside modifying enzymes genes(aac(6′)-Ⅰad,aac(6′)-Ⅰb,aac(3)-Ⅰ,ant(3″)-Ⅰ) of 20 strains MDR-ABA were detected by PCR.RESULTS Among 20 MDR-ABA strains,12 strains of aac(3)-Ⅰ,15 strains of aac(6′)-Ⅰb,18 strains of ant(3″)-Ⅰwere positive, and aac(6′)-Ⅰad was negative. The new subtype aac(6′)-Ⅰad gene has not been found.CONCLUSIONS Twenty strains MDR-ABA aminoglycoside modifying enzymes genes are found in all the 20 MDR-ABA strains. The genotype is in accordance with antibiotics resistance. It can induce clone transmitting hospital infection. It is first time to study the aac(6′)-Ⅰad gene of A.baumannii in China.

Objective To investigate the operative indications for polypoid lesions of gallbladder(PLG) and avoid cholecystectomy for PLG without operation signs. Methods Retrospective analysis of 828 cases of PLG confirmed by pathologic examination was made. Results (1)Cancer should be suspected when a patient is older than 50 years or has a polypoid lesion larger than 1.0 cm.(2)The cholecystectomies for PLG accounted for 2.7%-7.1%of all cholecystectomies in the corresponding period, and cholesterol polyps accounted for 86.11%of all PLG,and carcinoma of gallbladder accounted for 1.92%of all PLG.Conclusion At present most of PLG accepting cholecystectomy are cholesterol polyps,so the high-risk factors of the neoplastic polyps and the operative indications for PLG should be considered deliberately.

This study was aimed to assess the agreement between pulse pulmonary arterial oxygen saturation (StO2) by oximetry in trachea and the mixed venous oxygen saturation (SvO2) by fiberoptic pulmonary arterial catheter, and to evaluate the accuracy of StO2 monitoring during hypoxia. 10 mongred dog's were used. After anesthesia was induced and thorax was opened, we placed a fiberoptic pulmonary artery catheter directly through the dog's right ventricular outlet. Then, we placed and adjusted the trachea catheter, attached the oximetry probe to trachea carina till the high quality StO2 PPG signal was obtained, and till the readings were stable at about +/-2% from fiberoptic catheter. The pair readings of StO2 and SvO2 were recorded at every minute interval in 10 minutes when circulation was stable. Decreasing the inhaled oxygen concentration till the tongue's SpO2 decreased to 60%; recording the changes of StO2 and SvO2 in every 5% drop of tongue's SpO2 when the tongue's SpO2 decreased from 100% to 50%. The results showed that there was a good agreement between the two methods for pulmonary arterial oxygen saturation measurement. However, the difference between the two methods was great and unacceptable during the presence of hypoxia.

Objective To explore the safety and long-term results of preoperative imatinib mesylate administration (IM) in patients with locally advanced gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST).Methods From Sep 2009 to Nov 2016,locally advanced GIST patients treated in Fujian Medical University Cancer Hospital were analysed retrospectively.Result 34 patients were included.Preoperative median IM treatment was 27 weeks(range 12-71 weeks).65% patients had a partial response to IM,35% showed stable disease. All patients underwent surgical R0 resection. The complication rate was 9% and no death occurred within 30 days post operation. The median follow-up time was 62.2 months (range of 13-89 months).20 patients continued to take imatinib orally,14 patients did not.The 3 year survival rate of patients undergoing surgery was 67%.Univariate analysis showed that tumor location, preoperative imatinib effect, pathology, targeted therapy after surgery were factors affecting prognosis.Multivariate analysis show that the independent risk factors affecting prognosis were tumor location, pathology, targeted therapy after surgery. Conclusion In locally advanced GISTs,preoperative IM is useful and safe that can effectively decrease tumor size, facilitating resection.

Based on ASP.NET framework, The Intelligent Estimated System for Rational Deployment of Medical Equipment (MERDIS) is designed and developed with SQL Server 2012 database and C# language. The system is used to realize the rational deployment suggestions and evaluation of medical equipment in hospitals. The system input the data of hospital medical equipment and clinical pathway into the database, and then feedback the deployment information to users which are calculated by big data information, so as to achieve the purpose of giving rational deployment of hospital medical equipment.
