Objective To design pedometer shoes through wireless transmission step calculation. Methods The transmitting terminals in the soles acquired the pressure signals, and then the signals were transmitted to the SCM after conversion, amplification and comparison.AT89S52 SCM was used for step calculation and then the results were sent to the receiver through nRF905.Results The receiver had three modes, such as the step-calculation mode with the time and step calculation result displayed, the running mode with the distance displayed and the function of stopwatch, and the prompt mode with the distance and consumed power displayed. Conclusion The wireless embedded pedometer shoes are multifunctional, easy to operate and reliable.

Objective Diallyl disulfide ( DADS) has achieved remarkable effects in treatment and research of diverserfied cancers. The article was to explore the effects and the mechanism of DADS on the xenograft growth of human small cell lung cancer ( SCLC) cells in nude mice . Methods A total of 25 nude mice were selected to establish xenograft model of NCI-H446 human SCLC cells. The nude mice bearing with SCLC H446 were divided into 5 groups by random selection:positive control group(DDP 66 mg/kg), negative control group(physiological saline), 20 mg/kg DADS group, 60 mg/kg DADS group and 180 mg/kg DADS group, which is 40.6%, 53.1%and 66.4%, respectively. The growth of xenograft tumor in mice was observed after being treated with differ-ent concentrations of DADS .The morphological changes of the tumors were examined under light microscopy .Phase distribution and apoptosis of xenograft cells were analyzed by flow cytometry ( FCM) . Results The growth of xenograft tumor were inhibited signifi-cantly by DADS, resulting in decreased cell density and cellular atypia .Moreover, xenograft cell cycle was blocked in G 2/M and cell apoptosis rate was enhanced . Conclusion DADS can significantly inhibit the growth of NCI-H446 cells and lead to apoptosis .

Objective To evaluate the value of three-dimensional color power angiography(3D-CPA) in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast tumors. Methods 3D-CPA vascular parameters were collected and analyzed in 121 breast solid lesions (63 malignant,58 benign) in the 114 female patients. The diagnostic performances of each parameter were compared by receiver operating characteristic (ROC)cure. Results The parameters of intra-tumor flow index (FI1),flow index of shells with outside thickness of 3mm surrounding the breast tumors(FI2 ) and the ratio of FI2 and FI1 (G2) in malignant group were significantly higher than those in benign group( P <0.05,respectively).Analysis of the areas under ROC curve showed that the areas under FI2 curve was the largest. No significant difference( P >0.05) was found between the area under FI2 curve and the area under G2 curve.Comparing the area under FI2 curve to that under FI1,there was significant differences ( P < 0.05).Taking FI2 ≥ 27.385 as the critical value, the sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of malignant breast tumors were 88.9% and 81.0%,and the positive and negative predictive values were 83.6% and 87.0% respectively. Conclusions The sensitivity and specificity of 3D-CPA parameter FI2 in the diagnosis of malignant breast tumors were higher than others,FI2 with the optimal critical value of ≥27.385 could help to identify malignant from benign breast tumors.

Objective:To explore the effect of traditional teaching and standardized patient (SP) teaching in medical students' inquiry teaching through the phased examination results of practicing physicians. Methods:A total of 107 students from Class 1 and Class 2 of Batch 2013 majoring in clinical medicine of Qinghai University were selected as the control group, and 100 students from Class 1 and Class 2 of Batch 2014 were selected as the experimental group. In the inquiry teaching, the control group adopted the traditional teaching method, and the experimental group adopted the SP teaching method. The effect of the two groups of teaching methods was compared by collecting the scores of the medical history of the medical practitioners in the phased examination. SPSS 18.0 was used for t-test. Results:The scores of current medical history (81.43±8.19), case collection (8.19±0.70), inquiry content (47.63±4.55), examiner's total score (73.75±5.21), and total score (91.93±5.67) in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group [(71.65±8.29) (7.85±0.68) (43.68±4.76) (69.68±5.40) and (88.03±6.01)] and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.001). The scores of communication ability (8.94±0.62) question expression (4.54±0.44) and communication skills (4.52±0.47) in the comprehensive performance of the control group were higher than those in the experimental group [(8.77±0.60) (4.33±0.54) and (4.38±0.46), respectively], and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). Conclusion:The overall teaching effect of the SP teaching is better than that of the traditional teaching, but it has its own advantages and disadvantages in specific knowledge points. It is worth further discussion to combine the two to complement the advantages and complement each other to assist medical education.

To explore the clinical value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in differentiating benign and malignant focal liver lesions (FLLs) with SonoVue, CEUS was used to examine 113 pa- tients with focal liver lesions (FLLs) in our hospital during July 2005 to December 2006. All the pa- tients underwent contrast-enhanced CT (CECT) or contrast-enhanced MRI(CEMRI). Except for pa- tients with focal fatty sparings (n=18) and with hemangiomas (n=8), all the patients were confirmed by operation or ultrasonic-guided liver puncture biopsy. A sulfur hexafluoride gas-based contrast agent was used with a MI of 0.15 to 0.17. Forty-eight cases of malignant FLLs, including 30 hepato- cellular carcinomas (HCCs), 2 cholangiocarcinomas and 16 metastatic tumors, were detected. Sev- enty-eight cases of benign FLLs, including 33 hemangiomas, 9 focal nodular hyperplasias (FNHs), 19 focal fatty sparings, 5 abscesses, 7 regenerative nodules and 2 inflammatory pseudo-tumor, were in- volved. The contrast pattern of benign and malignant FLLs was quite different. CEUS has higher specificity and sensitivity than conventional ultrasound in differentiating benign and malignant FLLs.
