1.Association between microRNA expression and chemotherapy in colorectal cancer
China Oncology 2014;(1):62-68
Chemotherapy has been widely used in treating patients with colorectal cancer(CRC).Despite the tremendous progress achieved in cancer treatment during the last decades, drug resistance remains a major obstacle to effective treatment for CRC. Emerging evidence shows that microRNAs (miRNAs) play an important role in regulating the drug sensitivity of tumor cells. This review aimed to summarize the association of microRNA expression with chemotherapy in colorectal cancer.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(09):-
Objective To establish the molecular genetic assay for presymptometical diagnosis of Wilson disease(WD). Methods Chromosome haplotype of WD was constructed using three genetic markers.Disease-causing mutations of Wilson disease gene(WND) were examined among the WD probands and their sib by PCR-SSCP and DNA sequencing analysis in WD pedigrees, to expound whether the disease causing mutations of WD patients gene was simila to that of their probands. Results Two presymptomatical WD patients were diagnosed correctly in ten WD pedigrees, including one newborn girl. One carrier ,who has a lower serum ceruloplasmin(sCP) level, was discovered. Conclusions Presymptomatical WD diagnosis can be made by haplotype analysis and mutation examination. So that, WD patients can be properly treated in their early stage.
3.Clinical observation on treatment of cerebral infarction by combined therapy of acupuncture with extremities tissue separating manipulation.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2005;25(6):496-498
OBJECTIVETo observe the curative effect of combined treatment of extremities tissue separating manipulation (ETSM) and acupuncture on cerebral infarction (CI).
METHODSCI patients were randomly divided into 3 groups. Group A was treated with drug-therapy only, Group B was treated with drug-therapy plus acupuncture and Group C was treated with drug-therapy plus ETSM and acupuncture. All patients were treated for 15 successive days for evaluating curative effect.
RESULTSThe cured-markedly effective rate, total effective rate and nerve function deficit score after treatment was 28.6% , 71.4% and 17.57 +/- 1.51 scores in Group A, 48.4%, 80.6% and 13.97 +/- 1.38 scores in Group B, and 81.3%, 93.7% and 11.00 +/- 1.51 scores in Group C, respectively. Significant difference was shown in comparison of Group A with Group B, also in comparison of Group C with Group A and B (All P <0.05).
CONCLUSIONETSM combined acupuncture has a good therapeutic effect on CI.

Objective To study the clinical significance of EGFR mutation in patients with advanced non -small cell lung cancer combined with malignant pleural effusion, and to provide reliable theoretical basis for clinical treatment .Methods 3 0 patients of advanced non -small -cell lung cancer complicated with malignant pleural effusion in Zhoushan island area were selected.DNA was extracted in the pleural effusion and EGFR 19,21 two loci of gene mutation was detected by sequencing PCR.EGFR and clinical characteristics of the patients (gender, age, smoking history, disease types of cases and in the level of CEA level)was compared. Results Among the 30 cases,4 cases of gene mutation,1 case of male patient,3 cases of female patients,4 cases of adenocarcinoma,4 cases of non smokers, 2 cases of EGFR19 deletion,2 cases of EGFR21 mutation.Among them,3 patients were treated by biological target therapy, the survival time was more than 1 year, and there were no obvious adverse reactions, and the effective rate was 75.00%.Conclusion The gene mutations of EGFR were detected in the patients with advanced non -small cell lung cancer combined with malignant pleural effusion, and the mutation rate 13.30%,which was high in female, non smoker and adenocarcinoma, and it could be used to treat the tumor.

Mannosylerythritol lipids (MELs), mainly produced by Ustilago and Pseudozyma, are surface active compounds that belong to the glycolipid class of biosurfactants. MELs have potential application in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries due to their excellent surface activities and other peculiar bioactivities. In recent years, the research field of MELs has regained much attention abroad. However, MELs are rarely studied in China. In this review, the producing microorganisms and production conditions, diverse structures, biochemical properties, structure-function relationship and biosynthetic pathways of MELs are described. Some research problems and prospects are summarized and discussed as well.
