1.Application of low central venous pressure in liver resection

ObjectiveTo investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of low central venous pressure (LCVP) in the operation of major hepatic resection.MethodsFourty-eight patients underwent major hepatic resection were randomized into two groups: LCVP and control group.In the LCVP group,CVP was maintained ≤5 cm H2O during the hepatic resection and then returned to normal after resection.In the control group,CVP was maintained normal between 6 -12 cm H20.The duration of hepatectomy,volume of blood loss,volume of blood transfused and renal function were compared between the two groups.ResultsFor the LCVP and control group,the time for hepatectomy was (45 ± 8 ) and ( 35 ± 5 ) min,respectively; the volumes of blood loss were ( 850 ± 160) and (436 ±280)ml,respectively; the blood loss during operation was (490 ± 130) and (270 ± 105 ) ml respectively.The differences were statistically significant (t values were 15.53,7.69 and 17.89 separately,P <0.05 ).No significant difference in the renal function was observed before and after the operation ( P > 0.05 ).Conclusion Using LCVP technique during liver resection significantly reduced the operation time,blood loss and blood infusion.And there wa.s no obvious adverse effect on renal function.
2.Factors Related with Quality of Life for Disabled Veterans in Support Centre

ObjectiveTo Investigate the state and needs of disabled veterans and support centre in our country, and explore the factors related with quality of life. Methods328 disabled veterans of 6 veterans' support centre were surveyed with questionaire or interview. Results and ConclusionThe overall psychological states of the disabled veterans are unacceptable, dysthymia, anxiety, loneliness, insomnia are the most common among them. The unreasonable disposition of aids tend to decreases their quality of life.
3.Observation on blood-brain barrier around hematome in patient with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage

Objective To evaluate blood-brain barrier around the hematoma in patients harin g hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage. Results Within asuper early peroid (7 hours) and acute peroid (72 hours) a nd subacute peroid (4~7 days) of the cerebral hemorrhage, the tissues of blood-brain barrier observed under electronic micrscop e, showed that the damagement of the blood-brain barrier was increas ed in direct proprotion to the length of time and the patients presenting a relevant clinical manifestation mean-while.Conclusion The changes of blood-brain berrier is more importment for a t imely treatment, and a hemotoma extracting is suggested as to improving the live qua lity of patients.
4.Survey of the serum hepatocellular carcinoma marker Golgi glycoprotein (GP73) among Qidong residents and correlation analysis to outcome at two-year follow-up.

OBJECTIVETo survey the levels of Golgi glycoprotein (GP73), a hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) marker, in residents of Qidong and determine the correlation of detected GP73 concentration ranges with outcome at two-year follow-up.
METHODSA total of 12,378 individuals (age range: 35-69 years old) from Qidong were enrolled in the study. All participants were tested for hepatitis B virus (HBV) by detecting hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) in serum. One-tenth of the participants were assigned to a stratified-random sample group (those with identification numbers ending with "0") to represent a "subgroup of the natural population" (HBsAgPop, n = 1227). All HBsAg carriers were stratified as a "subgroup of positivity" (HBsAgPve, n = 1025). One-tenth of all HBsAg-negative individuals were assigned to a stratified-random sample group to represent a "subgroup of negativity" (HBsAgNve, n = 1132). Enzyme-linked immunoassay was used to measure the serum GP73 and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) levels; the distribution, medians (50th percentile), and 95th percentiles of GP73 were determined for the three subgroups. A two-year follow-up was carried out to observe the differential incidence of HCC between the HBsAgPve and HBsAgNve subgroups.
RESULTSA positively skewed distribution of the GP73 values was observed for all three subgroups. The medians for HBsAgPve, HBsAgNve, and HBsAgPop were 67 mug/L, 54 mug/L, and 55 mug/L; the 95th percentiles were 174 mug/L, 108 mug/L, and 114 mug/L, respectively. The AFP positivity rates were 7.23% (37/512) for carriers whose GP73 values were above the median level and 0.78% (4/513) for carriers with GP73 values below the median level, with a highly significant difference between the two (P less than 0.01). A the two-year follow-up, 23 (4.49%) of the 512 carriers with GP73 more than or equal to 67 mug/L had developed HCC, while only one patient (0.19%) of the 513 carriers with GP73 less than 67 mug/L developed HCC, which yielded a relative risk value of 23.6. In the non-carriers, no HCC cases had occurred, regardless of serum GP73 level.
CONCLUSIONSerum GP73 has a higher potential as a diagnostic/prognostic marker of HCC in individuals with HBsAg positivity. In follow-up of HBsAg carriers, GP73 may help in the early detection of liver cancer.

5.Analysis of liver cancer mortality in the national retrospective sampling survey of death causes in China, 2004 - 2005.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the patterns and changes of liver cancer mortality in China.
METHODSData of national retrospective sampling survey for the years of 2004 - 2005 from 158 counties/cities/districts was used for the settings, covering a 2-year's population of 142 660 482 person years, in which 47 899 806 in urban areas, and 94 760 676 in rural areas. Furthermore, the areas of Eastern, Central, and Western were divided into the subsets, with populations of 52 556 694, 49 781 225 and 40 322 563 person years, respectively. The crude rate (CR) and the age-standardized rate by Chinese population of 1982 (CASR) and by world's population of 1985 (WASR) were calculated. The historical comparisons with the national survey data of 1973 - 1975 (First time) and with the sampling survey of 1990 - 1992 (Second time) were made, and the global comparisons with some selected countries were performed.
RESULTSA total of 37 645 death cases with liver cancer were recorded from the 158 samples in the year 2004 - 2005, with the CR of 26.26 per 100 000 (males: 27 398 cases, 37.55 per 100 000, and females: 10 067 cases, 14.45 per 100 000), which ranked the second after lung cancer, accounted for 19.33% of all sites of cancers (37 465/193 841). 93.04% of the sampling districts (147/158) showed the CRs amongst 10.00 to 39.00 per 100 000. The CASR was 17.86 per 100 000 (males: 26.44, females: 9.20), and the WASR was 23.48 per 100 000 (males: 34.61, females: 12.34). In the urban areas, the CR of liver cancer was 24.94 per 100 000 (11 945 cases, CASR: 15.34), and 26.93 per 100 000 (25 520 cases, CASR: 19.32) in the rural areas. The sex ratio of the male to female mortality rate was 2.60:1 (2.68:1 in urban areas, and 2.56:1 in rural areas). The death cases in the Eastern, Central, and Western areas were 14 909, 13 349 and 9 207, with CRs of 28.37, 26.82, and 22.83 per 100 000, respectively. The CR was increased by 89.77% compared with the data from the First time (1973 - 1975: 10.75 per 100 000), and increased by 28.73% compared with the data of the Second time (1990 - 1992: 20.37 per 100 000). In addition, the CR from 12.42 (the First) increased to 19.50 per 100 000 (the Second) in the urban areas, and from 10.12 (the First) increased to 20.67 per 100 000 (the Second) in the rural areas. Global comparison showed that the CR for the liver cancer in China ranked the sixth for men, and fifth for women; and it ranked the ninth, and seventh according to the WASR amongst the top-rate countries.
CONCLUSIONLiver cancer is the second leading site of cancer death-cause in China. The CR has been rising, while the trend for the standardized rate is not so apparent. Control of the liver cancer should be still the priority of all anti-cancer activities in China.

6.Study on differentiation of adipose-derived stem cells into neural cells induced by supernatant liquid from brain tissue in rats

Objective To observe the effect of supernatant liquid from brain tissue on the differentiation of adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) into neural cells in normal brain tissues, the homogenate of infarcted cerebral hemisphere and the opposite side in the rats. Methods The ADSCs were obtained from rat retroperitoneal adipose tissue. The normal brain tissues, the homogenate of the infarcted cerebral hemisphere and thc opposite side got from middle cerebral artery occlusion in rats were used to induce ADSCs. Immunocytochemistry or immunofluorescence were used to identify the cell types at the 3rd day. Positive expression rate was counted by fluorescence microscope. Results (1)The neuron-specific enolase (NSE) positive cells, microtubule-associated protein 2 (MAP-2) positive cells and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) positive cells were much more in the homogenate of the infracted cerebral hemisphere than in others (P<0.05). (2)The NSE positive cells, MAP-2 positive cells and GFAP positive cells were much more in the homogenate of the normal brain tissues and the opposite side than normal level ( P < 0. 05 ) . Conclusions The homogenate of the infracted cerebral hemisphere and the opposite side can induce adipose-derived stem cells into neural-like cells and express neural cells markers in rats.
7.Clinical significance of the application of thromboelastogram in the perioperative peri-od of gastric cancer patients

Objective:To monitor the dynamic changes in coagulation function and assess their clinical significance in patients with gas-tric cancer by using thromboelas to gram (TEG). Methods:A total of 178 patients with gastric cancer from March 2014 to May 2015 in Xinxiang Central Hospital were selected as the experimental group. The patients were grouped based on different tumor stages, inva-sion depths, and lymph node metastasis. The TEG results of all patients were dynamically monitored before and after operation, and 60 healthy persons were selected as normal control group. Blood coagulation change was analyzed by comparing the TEG test results. Results:Compared with those of the control group, the TEG parameters of the experimental group showed significantly decreased R and K values, as well as significantly increased Angle, CI, and MA values, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). In the experimental group, the K values were significantly decreased after operation, whereas Angle, MA, and CI were significantly in-creased (P<0.05). No significant changes were observed in R, LY30, and others. TEG values were significantly different in the compari-son of values for tumor patients with different stages, different tumor infiltration degrees, and with or without lymphatic metastasis. Conclusion:Blood hypercoagulability in the perioperative period was observed in patients with gastric cancer and was positively corre-lated with tumor stages, tumor infiltration degrees, and lymphatic metastasis. Dynamic monitoring of gastric cancer perioperative TEG can provide valuable information for clinical treatment, improve the safety of gastric cancer surgery, and reduce postoperative compli-cations associated with active clinical significance.
8.Synthesis and antiangiogenic properties of 2-methoxestradiol-RGD peptide conjugates

A series of 2-methoxyestradiol (2-MeO-E2) RGD peptide conjugates with coupling RGD peptides to 3- position or 17-position of 2-MeO-E2 through space linker were synthesized. Their antiangiogenic properties were preliminarily evaluated by cell migration scratch assays against HUVECs. Compound 26c binding RGDV peptide showed the best inhibitory effect. In addition, all 2-MeO-E2 RGD peptide conjugates exhibited obvious activity. These results demonstrate that conjugates with RGD peptides represent a promising means for targeting angiogenesis in cancer therapy.
9.Effect of femoral bowing angle on the lower limb alignment in different positions based on CT three-dimensional reconstruction

BACKGROUND: Measuring result of the lower limb alignment is often influenced by various factors, such as femoral bowing angle (FBA) in different positions.OBJECTIVE: To measure the FBA and femoral valgus correction angle (VCA) in different positions after CT reconstruction of lower limb model, and simulating X-ray examination, and to explore the rule of FBA affecting lower limb alignment.METHODS: Twenty patients undergoing CT angiography of lower extremity artery were enrolled, three-dimensional reconstruction of low limb was established on Mimics13.0 software based on CT data, and the FBA in standard posture was determined. All patients were divided into groups A (FBA > 2°), B (2° > FBA > 0°), C (0° > FBA > -2°) and D (FBA <-2°) (n=5 per group). Then each model was revolved through the vertical axis from 20° of internal rotation to 20° of external rotation by 2° for one motion, and 21 three-dimensional images were transformed into two-dimensional images to obtain the X-ray images of low limb. FBA and VCA in different positions were measured.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The outcome measurements showed that FBA tended to be decreased in internal rotation and increased in external rotation. (2) VCA tended to be increased in external rotation and decreased in internal rotation. (3) FBA was positively correlated with VCA in the different positions (P < 0.01). (4) These results suggest that FBA can be altered with rotation and even expose influence on VCA. The bigger FBA is, the more influence on the lower limb alignment. Therefore, it is advisable to conduct the full length X-ray of lower limb in a standard posture, especially for the patients with larger FBA.
10.The study on the association between the SNP rs3861950 of tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 4 gene and cerebral infarction

Objective To investigate the association of the tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member(TNFSF)4 gene polymorphisms rs3861950 and cerebral infaretion in Hunan area.Methods The frequencies of the genotypes of rs3861950 were detected utilizing real-time fluorescent PCR method based on TaqMan probe.Subiects examined were composed of 287 patients and 285 healthy individuals.Results There were significant differences in TNFSF4 gene rs3861950 C→T site polymorphism and allele frequency between the subjects and the controls,the distribution of CC genotype was significantly higher in the former (7.7%)than in the later(2.1%,X2=9.553,P=0.008),so was the frequencies of C allele(0.190 vs 0.137,X2=5.887,P=0.015).Moreover,there were significant differences in the distribution of genotype and the frequencies of allele between the subgroup of cerebral thrombosis and control group ( for the distribution of genotype X2=9.396 P=0.009,for the frequencies of allele X2=6.134,P=0.013).Logistic regression analysis showed that the risk factor of CC genotype was 3.7 times higherthan others(P=0.002.OR 3.706).Conclusions TNFSF4 gene SNP rs3861950 is associated with cerebral infarction and C allele is considered to be one of independent risk factors in the Han population in Hunan Province.
