Objective:To explore the influence of information technology on the management of medical equipment.Methods: To develop the protocols how to improve the management level of medical equipment planning, procurement, installation, performance evaluation, warehouse management, measurement, quality control, and maintenance, etc.Results: The promotion of information technology can promote the medical equipment management to achieve closed-loop control, open and transparent, efficiency improvement, module management, massive data analysis, etc.Conclusion: Information management can promote the relevant departments of the hospital medical equipment to improve the level of cooperation, to achieve functional integration, combination of medicine and engineering, be better for clinical services.

Objective Alzheimer's disease(AD) is a common and devastating disease and there is no readily available biomarker to aid diagnosis or to monitor disease progression. This study is to further understand the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease and seek new biomarkers for AD. Methods AD rats made by Aβ1-40 were assessed using the Morris water maze method. Sera of two groups were collected and albumin, IgG and sodium chloride were removed from the serum before concentration. Two-dimensional electrophoresis(2-DE) was performed on serum protein. Altered proteins were identified by matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF-MS). Results Compared with untreated samples, 10 altered proteins were found through 2-DE and all of them were down-regulated of which 2 were identified by MALDI-TOF-MS to be plasma retinol-binding protein precursor and complement component 4, gene 2 (C4b). Conclusion C4b may be the biomarker of AD and it may be helpful to understand the pathogenesis of AD.

The 23 cases with chronic myelogenousleukemia (CML) were treated with program ofharringtonine and ara-c (HA) and the results werethat the 13 cases got complete remission and 10cases got partial remission. Comparing with thecontrol group the patients of which were treatedwith busulfan, the authors found that the spendedtime of decreased WBC in blood (WBC decreasedto 10. 0 ? 10~9/L) and reduced spleen (reduced tosmallest status of spleen) and improvement of self-sensation symptoms in the group treated with HAwere better than those in control group. The HAprogram for cases who recured CML again and re-ceived maintenance cure after remission of CMLwas still effective. The time of maintenance cureand interval should be individualized.

Objective To study the characteristics and the related risk factors of coronary artery changes in the elderly patients of coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes mellitus. Methods According to WHO diagnostic standards of diabetes, coronary heart disease(CHD) complicated with diabetes mellitus(65 patients) was indicated as CHD+DM group, and the coronary heart disease without diabetes(68 patients) was indicated as CHD group. All patients were examined by coronary angiographic semiquantitative(CAG), and blood pressure, oral glucose tolerance test, level of blood sugar, insulin, lipid, BUN and Cr were measured. The coronary artery changes were analysed by CAG, and the severity of coronary artery stenosis were evaluated by AHA standards. Objective To investigate the rationality and prognostic value of the Criteria for clinical staging of esophageal cancer treated by non-surgical methods (Draft) by comparison with the criteria for postoperative pathological staging.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 162 patients with esophageal cancer who underwent radical resection at the Second Hospital of Soochow University from December 2008 to July 2012.Preoperative clinical staging and postoperative pathological staging were performed,and the Kappa statistic was used to evaluate the agreement between the two staging systems.The Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate overall survival (OS) rates,and the log-rank test was used for survival difference analysis and univariate analysis.Results The coincidence rates of T,N,and TNM stages were 67.9％,57.4％,and 67.9％,respectively,and the agreements were moderate,poor,and moderate,with Kappa values of 0.544,0.302,and 0.509.The follow-up rate was 93.2％.The 1-,2-,and 3-year sample sizes were 127,66 and 27,respectively.The 1-,2-,and 3-year OS rates were 82.6％,56.2％,and 37.7％,respectively.There were no significant differences in OS between patients with preoperative T1 and T2 stages and between patients with preoperative N0 and N1 stages (P =0.086,0.101),but significant differences were observed between patients with different T stages,N stages,or TNM stages (P =0.000-0.028).This was in line with the prognostic results based on the postoperative pathological staging.Conclusions The clinical staging criteria (draft) have moderate agreement with the criteria for postoperative pathological staging and have good prognostic value,but they require further refinement and improvement.

Abstract: Objective　To study the biological function of the possible efflux pump gene BPSL1972 in Burkholderia pseudomallei (Bp), so as to improve the drug resistance mechanism of Bp. Methods BPSL1972 gene knockout strain and its complement strain were constructed by homologous recombination and electric shock transformation, respectively. BPSL1972 protein expression vector was constructed by enzyme digestion and enzyme-linked method. The BPSL1972-encoded protein was expressed using a His-tag protein expression kit and the expressed proteins were verified by Western Blot. The changes in drug sensitivity, growth, biofilm formation, and cytotoxicity were compared by microbroth dilution assay, Kirby-Bauer assay, turbidimetric assay, tube assay, crystal violet staining, and CCK-8 kit. The physicochemical properties of BPSL1972 were predicted by Protscale and Protparam online websites, the signal peptide of BPSL1972 was predicted by SignalP 5.0 online website, and the transmembrane domain and gene function of BPSL1972 were predicted by Smart online website. The 3D structure of BPSL1972-encoded protein and its homology were analyzed through Phyre 2 online website. Results The predictions suggested that the BPSL1972-encoded protein is a class of neutral-stable hydrophobic protein with a lipoprotein signal peptide and a transmembrane region, classified under the RND efflux pump system with two lipoprotein outer membrane efflux proteins, potentially mediating macrolide resistance. Its 3D modeling results show high homology to VceC and fusaric acid efflux protein, possibly mediating the efflux of ion activators. Sequencing results confirmed the successful construction of both the deletion mutant strain and complement strain. However, there were no significant differences in biological characteristics between the deletion mutant strain and the wild-type strain, and there was also no significant difference in resistance to antibiotics such as cephalosporins, quinolones, carbapenems, aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, and surfactants such as sodium deoxycholate. Conclusion BPSL1972 may be an auxiliary gene of LysR family, and this auxiliary gene is secondary, thus resulting in no functional changes after its deletion. Further research is needed to investigate whether it has resistance to other antibiotics such as fusaric acid and its specific replacement or auxiliary function.

Aim To evaluate the effect of intermedin (IMD)on cell proliferation and regeneration in rat tu-bular epithelial cell line (NRK-52E)that was subjec-ted to hypoxia-reoxygenation (H/R)injury.Methods The NRK-52E cells were divided into control group and three model groups (H/R,H/R +primitive vec-tor,H/R +IMD vector).The content of LDH was de-tected to observe the influence of IMD on H/R injury. The cell proliferation was detected by MTT.The cell cycle was detected by flow cytometry.Real-time PCR and western blotting were used to determine mRNA and protein levels.Results ① In comparison to the con-trol,H/R treatment decreased the cell viability and in-creased LDH activity (P <0.01 );in contrast,com-pared to H/R,IMD treatment ameliorated cell viability (79.1 5 ±1 .421 % vs 61 .22 ±1 .63%,P <0.05)and decreased LDH activities by 33.85% (P <0.01 ).②The proliferation of NRK-52E cells was significantly in-hibited by H/R treatment.In comparison to the con-trol,H/R treatment of NRK-52E cells increased the proportion of cells in the G0 /G1 phase but decreased the proportion of cells in the S and G2 /M phases. Moreover,the over-expression of IMD resulted in S and G2 /Mphase redistribution and the accumulation of G2 /M-phase cells.The real-time PCR and western blotting results indicated that the mRNA and protein expression levels of cyclin D1 ,CDK4 and p57 were increased in H/R-treated cells.IMD further stimulated this up-reg-ulated expression of cyclin D1 ,CDK4 and decreased the expression of p57 in NRK-52E cells.④Cyclin D1 had a predominantly nuclear localization in NRK-52Ecells,although cytoplasmic localization was also ob-served.Conclusion The study shows that the over-expression of IMD may promote renal cell proliferation and regeneration after renal tubular cell H/R injury via the up-regulation of cyclin D1 ,CDK and the down-reg-ulation of p57.

Objective To approach the treatment of open reduction and internal fixation with titanium plate of anatomic type was applied for calcaneua fracture involving talocalcaneal joint. Methods Twenty-eight patients (36 feet) were performed with open reduction and internal fixation with titanium plate of anatomic type from April 2004 to November 2007. The Bohler angle, the Gissane angle and the length, breadth, height of calcaneus were compared before and after operation. Results The patients were followed up in an average period of 20 months. All the patients were healed and their arches became normal. The average data of Bohler angle was 19.89°±1.28° after operation while -6.23°±0.35°before operation. The average height of calcaneus was (42.80±2.49) mm after operation while (36.10±2.38) mm before operation. Conclusions The treatment of open reduction and internal fixation with titanium plate of anatomic type is a kind of good method for calcaneus fracture involving talocalcaneal joint. It can not only resume the Bolder angle and the Gissane angle,but also resume the, breadth, height of calcaneus. As a result, it can achieve anatomical reduction and patients can do exercises as soon as possible.
