1.Treatment of postherpetic neuralgia on the right side of nose: a case report.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(21):1916-1917
Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) is a difficult medical issue and symptomatic treatment with medication is common. One case of PHN was cured by nerve avulsion and microtherm plasma nerve block. The male patient was 48-year-old with PHN on the right side of the nose, suffering recurrent pains within one year. The symptoms occurred irregularly and lasted for several minutes to hours every time. Electroacupuncture and Chinese medicine treatments in other hospitals made little efficacy. Physical examination showed skin of right side of the nose and nasal mucosa was normal and all laboratory reports confirmed negative. After microtherm plasma treatment in nasal cavity and corresponding area of nasal septum, the pain disappeared.

3.Antigen-incorporated connective tissue mast cells promote specific T cell activa-tion
Chinese Journal of Immunology 2014;(8):1019-1022
To study the effects of connective tissue mast cells ( CTMCs ) on T cell activation in an antigen-dependent manner. Methods: Connective tissue mast cells were differentiated from mouse bone marrow cells.Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated ovalbumin (OVA)/IgG immune complexes were generated and incubated with CTMCs ,and analyzed by flow cytometry to detect the antigen uptake by CTMCs via Fcγreceptors ( FcγRs ).The relevant effects on antigen-specific T cell activation and proliferation were further determined by CD 69 and Ki67 expression. Results: A magnificent increase in OVA uptake was seen in CTMCs treated with OVA/IgG immunocomplex after 24-hour incubation ,compared with that treated with fluorescent OVA alone.OVA-incorporated mast cells induced OVA-specific CD4+T-cell activation and proliferation. Conclusion:It was suggested that the binding of IgG receptor FcγRs could elicit CTMCs reaction and ,as a result,to mediate crosstalk between professional APCs and T cells.
4. Prospective cohort study of body height and cancer incidence among adult men and women in Shanghai
Tumor 2012;32(12):992-1000
Objective: To investigate the association between body height and risk of cancer incidence among adult men and women in Shanghai. Methods: Baseline information on body height and other factors relevant for cancer was obtained from Women's (1996-2000) and Men's Health Studies (2002-2006) in Shanghai. Participants with missing data on body height, or those lost to follow-up in one year after the study enrollment were excluded, leaving 74 709 women and 61 161 men for analysis. There were 4 031 incident cancers for women and 2 047 for men confirmed at the end of 2009. COX regression model was used to evaluate the HR s ( hazard ratios) and 95% CI (confidence interval) between height and cancers. Results: After adjustment for some potential confounding factors including age, weight, physical activity, energy intake, occupation, income and reproductive factors (for women only), HR s and 95% CI s for cancer incidence per 1 standard deviation (6 cm for both men and women) increment in body height were 1.04 (95% CI : 1.00-1.08) for total cancers, 1.18 (95% CI : 1.05-1.33) for stomach cancer, 1.34 (95% CI : 1.06-1.70) for kidney cancer and 1.05 (95% CI : 0.99-1.12) for breast cancer in women; and 1.06 (95% CI : 1.00-1.11) for total cancers, 1.11 (95% CI : 1.00-1.25) for lung cancer, 1.34 (95% CI : 1.02-1.75) for pancreatic cancer, 1.23 (95% CI : 1.01-1.49) for rectal cancer and 0.78 (95% CI : 0.66-0.94) for prostate cancer in men. Conclusion: A possible link between body height and cancer incidence in men and women is suggested. The association between body height and cancer incidence varies by cancer type. The overexpression of P-glycoprotein(P-gp)and its coding gene mdrl is regarded as the classic mechanism of muhidrug resistance(MDR).Recent studies find that pregnane X receptor(PXR)can mediate the expression of P-gp.It is confirmed that PXR can also inhibit apoptosis of tumor cells. Therefore, preventing the activation of PXR specifically may be a new method to prevent MDR.

Objective To establish the method of alloantigen-specific T lymphocyte clones. Methods PBMC of the recipient was stimulated by donor splenocytes for twice and the stimulated T lymphocytes were cloned by limited dilution. Results Three clones of T lymphocytes were obtained. By analysis of immunohistochemistry, two of the three clones were CD3+CD4-CD8+, another one was CD3+CD4-CD8-. The latter was analyzed by flowcytometry and CD3+ was 98.87%, CD4- 97.05%, CD8- 97.14%. Antigen specificity of the cloned T lymphocytes was determined by stimulation of donor splenocytes and non-related individual splenocytes. When stimulated by donor splenocytes, the cloned T lymphocytes proliferated and did not show proliferative role when stimulated by non-related individual splenocytes. Conclusion Our method of cloning alloantigen-specific T lymphocytes is successful.

International Journal of Surgery 2010;37(9):628-631
Acute pancreatitis(AP) is mainly caused by gallstone disease and excessive alcohol consumption.Overall, about one fifth of patients develop into severe acute pancreatitis( SAP), which is still associated with a mortality rate exceeding 30%. This type of AP is usually accompanied by necrosis of the pancreas and/or organ failure. Treatment of SAP in several aspects, such as the application of antibiotics, nutritional support, surgical time, the method of operation, are still in dispute. In recent years, minimally invasive technique is increasingly used in the treatment of SAP, and some patients may benefit from the adoption of minimally invasive surgery. This article aims to review the current progress on the treatment of SAP.

Objective To explore the mechanisms of protective effect of benazepril in the treatment of experimental cyclosporin- induced chronic nephrotoxicity. Methods Rats were on low-salt diet and cyclosporine A (CsA) was administered by gastric gavage at a dose of 30?mg/kg once daily for 28 days. The expression of mRNA for intrarenal transforming growth factor-?1 (TGF-?1) and renin was detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Intrarenal expression of TGF-?1 and Collagen Ⅳ was determined by immunohistochemistry. The effects of benazepril on these changes were also evaluated. Results Chronic cyclosporine-induced nephropathy may be related to TGF-?1 and renin mRNA up-regulation as well as matrix proteins accumulation in interstitium. Benazepril could reduce TGF-?1 mRNA up- regulation and decrease intrarenal matrix proteins accumulation. Conclusion Decreased CsA-related TGF-?1 up-regulation expression and accumulation of matrix proteins in the kidney may be related to mechanisms of protective effect of benazepril in the treatment of cyclosporin-induced chronic nephrotoxicity.

Blood glucose control is not only the key issue of diabetes management, but also one of the goals of diabetes treatment.Pain associated with self-monitoring of blood glucose(SMBG)results in poor compliance with blood glucose testing. With the advent of continuous glucose monitoring(CGM), it is more convenient to detect blood glucose and realize dynamic glucose monitoring.Continuous glucose monitoring(CGM)is widely used in adults with diabetes, and the usage among children is also increasing. Many studies have conducted clinical trials on the use of CGM in children with diabetes, initially confirming the use of CGM in children with diabetes. However, some studies still have controversies on the use of CGM in children. In this paper, the clinical studies of CGM in children′s diabetes in recent years were summarized to further understand the application of CGM and its combined insulin pump in pediatrics.
