Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(5):397-400
Objective To explore the efficacy of ligustrazine combined with chemotherapy in patients with relapsed or refractory NHL and the relationships with P-gp expression. Methods 60 Patients were randomized into reversal agent group (ligustrazine + chemotherapy) and control group (chemotherapy) and the outcome was analysed. P- gp expression was analysed by flow cytometry. Subgroup analysis was conducted a ccording to P-gp expression. Results 56 patients could be evaluated. Progression -free survival (PFS) showed no statistical diference in two groups ( P = 0.065 1 ) ; reversal agent group had a higher overall response rate (ORR) than control group(P=0. 048).Subgroup analysis showed 41 patients had P-gp( +). The complete remission rate and complete remission uncertain rate of patients with P-gp( + ) in reversal agent group and control group were 33. 33% and 8. 70% , respectively, reversal agent group had a significant advantage ( P = 0. 048). Patients with P-gp( + ) in reversal agent group had a higher ORR than control group (61. 11% vs 26. 09% ,P =0.024). Kaplan-Meier survival curve and Log-rank test showed patients with P-gp( + ) in reversal agent group had longer PFS than control group (P =0.046 4). Blood pressure in a small number of patients received ligustrazine therapy decreased, and mitigated after reducing the dose. Conclusion Ligustrazine combined with chemotherapy can elevate response rate, prolong PFS with manageable toxicity and correlate to P-gp expression in relapsed or refractory NHL
2.Apoptosis of preadipocytes and its influencing factors
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(05):-
The quantity of adipocytes has a direct impact on the levels of obesity, and the apoptotic factors of preadipocytes are also related to adipositas. The apoptosis of preadipocytes is influenced by many genes and other factors.Findings in the studies on the apoptosis of preadipocytes and its influencing factors have contributed a lot to the researches on obesity and many other diseases.

Objective To investigate the role of NF-kB in radiation-induced apoptosis ot human non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) cells and the mechanism involved. Methods Three human non-Hodgkin lymphoma cell lines,Namalwa,Ramos, and Raji cells were divided into control,IR and IR + QNZ ( 10nmol/L) groups,respectively.Annexin-V kit was used to determine cell apoptosis. Protein expression levels of Survivin,Bax,Bcl-2 and cleaved Caspase-3 were evaluated by Western blot.Survivin mRNA was quantified by real-time PCR.Results Inhibition of NF-kB by QNZ pretreatment significantly enhanced X-ray induced apoptosis in human NHL cells in a dose-dependent manner (t =2.93 - 12.52,P < 0.05).At the same time,QNZ significantly reversed the expression levels of Survivin protein and mRNA that were upregulated by radiation(t =3.29 - 16.72,P < 0.05).QNZ also increased the levels of Caspase-3 and proapoptotic protein Bax,but reduced anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2 expression level and hence the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax.Conclusions Inhibition of NF-kB could enhance radiation-induced cell apoptosis in human NHL cells through down-regulating Survivin expression and decreasing Bcl-2/Bax ratio.

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(04):-
Apoptosis is an organized suicide program which is evolutionally conserved from yeast to mammals. Research on yeast apoptosis has made rapid progress, though it remained unrecognized until recent years. Initial observations show that yeast can be induced to undergo apoptosis and a number of conserved pro- and antiapoptotic proteins have been identified in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Yeast has been validated as a model organism to investigate mechanisms of apoptosis. Recently, yeast has also been used as a model to study apoptosis-related disease, such as Huntington's disease and Parkinson′s disease. The feasibility, the advantages and the perspectives of yeast model for apoptosis research are reviewed.

Objective To investigate the proliferation and the change of antigen on the cord blood CIK cells. Methods Cord blood CIK cells were generated by culture cord blood mononuclear cells in the presence of ?-IFN on day 0 and rhIL-2, antiCD3 MCAb on day 1. CIK cultures were analysed on different time point by FACS(Fluorescence activated cell sorter). The killing efficacy in tumor cell lines and primary leukemia cells were detected by MTT assay. Results After 2~3 weeks of culturing cord blood CIK cells expanded about 64.14?16 folds and CD+3 CD+56 cells which were the major cytolytic effector in CIK cells proliferated about 900 folds. Cord blood CIK cells have great cytotoxity against tumor cell lines as well as primary leukemia cells. Conclusions Cord blood MNCs can be cultured to CIK cells and the times of expansion are very high. Cord Blood CIK cells are highly efficient cytolytic effector cells.

Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2000;0(10):-
Objective To investigate whether insulin resistance is a cause of pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH). Methods All patients who had abnormal 50g glucose screening test accepted 75g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and insulin sensitive index (ISI) was calculated. These patients were followed up and divided into two groups (PIH group and normal pregnancy group) at third trimester of pregnancy. The difference of ISI between the PIH group and normal pregnancy group was compared. Results Fast blood glucose, fast blood insulin and ISI were (4.2?0.7)mmol/L vs. (3.8?0.7)mmol/L, (107.8?48.8)pmol/L vs. (50.4?40.5)pmol/L, and -3.25?0.27 vs. -2.58?0.66 in PIH group and normal group, respectively ( P 0.05). Conclusions Insulin resistance during second trimester of pregnancy may be one of the causes of pregnancy induced hypertension.

Objective: To observe the effect of Radix Astragali on the transmission time of small intestine(TTSI).Methods: TTSI and the peak value of lactose absorption were determined by hydrogen breath test in 40 healthy subjects a week before and after administration of Radix Astragali. Results: TTSI was 116.48+ 24.57 min and 102.38+ 13.44 min respectively before and after administration (P 0.05).Conclusion: Oral administration of Radix Astragali for one week has no effect on the absorption of the lactose by small intestine, but can promote the movement of small intestine.
