Objective To observe the incidence and transformation of pyuria and bacteriuria in different time point after TURP and supply the evidence for antibiotic application.Methods From March,2011 to May,2012,84 patients with BPH admitted in our hospital.Their ages ranged from 61 to 87 years old,mean (71.9±7.6) years.The volume of prostate in those patients ranged from 27.8 to 118 ml,mean (70.8±24.1) ml.The procedure of TURP was undergone in all of them.In one week after the operation,two urine specimens from each patient,one for urine routine examination and one for urine culture,were collected 24 h after the catheter have been withdrawn.The catheter was also cultured.During the following-up,urine routine examination and urine culture were regularly performed in 1,2,3 months after surgery.If the patient had both pyuria and bacteriuria,he should be excluded the study.Results The pyuria rate on one week,one month,two months and three months were 54.8％ (46/84),100.0％ (82/82),65.8％ (48/ 73),34.2％ (25/73),respectively.There is a significance difference among those groups (P＜0.05).It seemed that the pyuria would appear in all patients.However,the incidence would gradually decrease.It seemed that the pyuria has the tendency of self-recovery.A significant difference of prostatic resection volume after 3 months could be observed in the pyuria group (31.4±15.2 ml) and non-pyuria group (24.8±11.6 ml) (P＜0.05).The bacteriuria rate on one week,1,2,3 months were 7.1％ (6/84),11.0％ (9/82),6.8％ (5/73)and 0,respectively.There is no significance difference among the groups (P＞0.05).Conclusions Pyuria will appear after TURP and the incidence reduced gradually following the time.The pyuria alone without the bacteriuria may be explained by inflammation,that antibiotics were unnecessary.The bacteriuria alone without the pyuria may be considered as asymptomatic bacteriuria or bacterial colonization,antibiotics were unnecessary,either.

Hydrogen sulfide is found to be the third gasotransmitter.It exerts extensive biological effects in nerve system,cardiovascular system,gastrointestinal system,and so on.In cardiovascular system,it exerts the function of vasorelaxation,inhibition of vascular smooth mu-scle cells and cardioprotection.It is also concerted with many cardiovascular diseases such as pulmonary hypertension,hypertension,coronary heart disease,atherosclerosis.This review discusses the latest research progress in the significance of hydrogen sulfide in cardiovascular diseases.

Objective To study the effects of valsartan and triptergium glycosides on the abnormal expression of connective tissue growth factor(CTGF) in rats with diabetic nephropathy. Methods Sixty male SD rats were randomly divided into normal control group,diabetic nephropathy group(DN group),diabetic nephropathy treated with valsartan group(VAL group) and diabetic nephropathy treated with triptergium glycosides group(TG group).Diabetic nephropathy model was established by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin(STZ) in DN group,VAL group and TG group.The rats were sacrificed after 2,4,8 and 12 weeks.The body weight,blood glucose,renal function and urinary albumin excretion rate(UAER) were measured,and the expression of CTGFmRNA in kidney was detected by RT-PCR. Objective:To explore the prevention effect of forced-air warming to the upper body on hypothermia during thoracoscopic surgery in the lateral decubitus position.Methods:A total of 82 patients undergoing thoracoscopic surgery in the lateral position from December 2018 to July 2019 in Jiangsu People's Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University were divided into upper body group and lower body group according to the random number table method. Each group was 41 cases. Patients received forced-air warming on the upper body or lower body in the upper body group and lower body group, respectively. The bladder temperature was measured as core temperature at operation room, intubation, start of the surgery, 30 min after surgery, 60 min after surgery, 90 min after surgery, 120 min after surgery, end of the surgery. The incidence of intraoperative hypothermia, perioperative adverse complications and vital index at leaving the room were compared between upper body group and lower body group.Results:The core temperature at start of the surgery, 30 min after surgery, 60 min after surgery, 90 min after surgery were (36.70±0.12), (36.65±0.16), (36.30±0.18), (36.32±0.19) ℃ in the upper body group, and (36.42±0.13), (36.32±0.17), (36.17±0.14), (36.21±0.15)℃ in the lower body group, the differences were statistically significant ( t values were 2.743-10.362, P<0.05). However, there was no statistically significant in the core temperature at other time points between the two groups ( P>0.05). The incidences of intraoperative hypothermia and perioperative shiver were 12.2%(5/41), 4.9%(2/41) in the upper body group, and 31.7%(13/41), 21.9%(9/41) in the lower body group, the differences were statistically significant ( χ2 values were 4.556, 5.145, P<0.05). There was no statistically significant in the other perioperative adverse complications and vital index at leaving the room between two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Forced-air warming was more effective on the upper body in resistive body core temperature. Besides, the incidences of hypothermia and shiver on the upper body is lower.

Objective To study the effect of coenzymes complex combined with vitamin E on liver and kidney inju-ry induced by neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. Methods One hundred and fifty full-term neonatals with hyperbilirubinemia were chosen as observation groups, who were divided into mild, moderate and severe groups according bilirubin. Forty five healthy full-term newborns in the same period, who are either healthy or with physiological jaundice, were selected as con-trol group. Serum total bilirubin, gamma-glutamyl transferase (γ-GGT) , Malondialdehyde (MDA) and Cys-C were measured within 24 hours of hospital admission.The observation groups were randomly divided into regular and combined treatment groups. Coenzymes complex combined with vitamin E were given in addition to regular method to combined group while reg-ular group only received regular methods.All above biochemical indexes were tested in the 7th day after medication admin-istration. Results Serum MDA were higher in all observation groups (mild, moderate and severe groups) than in control group (P＜0.05);but the levels ofγ-GGT and Cys-C increased in moderate and severe groups compared with control group (P＜0.05). There were positive correlations (P＜0.05) between levels of serum total bilirubin with MDA,γ-GGT and Cys-C. Positive linear correlation were found between MDA with γ-GGT and Cys-C(P＜0.01). After early intervention,γ-GGT, Cys-C and MDA declined with drop of bilirubin level. This is more prominent and faster in a in combined treatment group than regular group (P＜0.05).Conclusion In hyperbilirubinemia newborns, lipid peroxidation activated by bilirubin may lead to damages of liver and kidney. Coenzymes combined with vitamin E have protective effect to these damages.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the role of interferon to increase the sensibilization of MGMT positive glioma stem cel s to temozolomide in vitro. METHODS:Glioma cel lines, U251 and SKMG-4, were induced by suspended cloning bal formation method to harvest MGMT positive glioma stem cel s, U251G and SKMG-4G. Cel counting kit-8 assay was used to detect the kil ing effect of interferonα/βcombined with temozolomide on MGMT positive glioma stem cel s. RT-PCR and western blot assay were employed to determine the expression of MGMT and nuclear factorκB in MGMT positive glioma stem cel s. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Western blot results showed positive expression of MGMT in U251G and SKMG-4G cel s at protein levels. After intervention with interferonα/β, the mRNA expression of MGMT and nuclear factorκB in SKMG-4G and U251G cel s was reduced significantly, and then further decreased after temozolomide treatment. These findings indicate that interferonα/βcan remarkably strengthen the kil ing effect of temozolomide on MGMT positive glioma stem cel s.

Microbes that produce Docosahexaenoic Acid were isolated from seawater. 160 strains capable of producing lipids were screened out using Sudan Black B dying method from 280 seawater samples. From 60 strains of microorganisms producing bigger lipid particles, 7 strains of them capable of producing lipids more than 8% were obtained with Soxhlet abstracting method in the first screening. In the secondary screening from 10 strains with high lipids yield, strain 7-3 capable of producing 15.9% lipids was obtained, in which the content of DHA(Docosahexaenoic Acid)is 45.2%. Strain 7-3 was identified as Brettanomyces based on its morphological properties, cultural characteristics, physiological and biochemical properties.

Objective To explore the instruction value of the color Doppler ultrasonography for the diagnosis and treatment of the pediatric intussusceptions .Methods Retrospective study the color Doppler ultrasonographic performance of 114 patients with diagnosis of pediatric intussusception in the affiliated hospital of Zunyi medical college ,from October 2009 to June 2012 ,reviewed the case ,groups were compared according to the ways of therapeutic methods .Results All the 114 cases of children of the intus-susception are subject to air enema reset or surgery cured confirmed .Age younger than 12 months intussusception children ,air ene-ma reset were more likely to success ;the diameter of concentric circles levy,the length of sleeve for and the thickness of bowel wall were smaller ,the more suitable for outsiders air enema reset .The blood supply of scabbard of bowel wall and the mesenteric was rich ,the air enema reset had a higher success rate ,blood supply was poor and the success rate was lower .The success rate of air enema reset was influenced by the part of intussusception .Conclusion Combined use of conventional color ultrasonic and high fre-quency probe checking ,can raise the diagnosis rate of pediatric intussusception ,the primary lesion confirmed and the detection rate in the position of the disease ,provide guidance for clinical choice reduction treatment .

Objective To study the effects of quantitative 24-hour urinary protein on the thyroid hormone levels in patients with severe preeclamp-sia,and clarify the impact of severe urinary protein on hypothyroid in severe preeclampsia patients. Methods A total of 166 patients with severe pre-eclampsia were recruited for the study and divided into mild proteinuria group(2.0-4.9 g/d),midrange group(5-10 g/d)and severe group(>10 g/d)according to the quantitative 24-hour urinary protein. 268 healthy female individuals with normal blood pressure and uric routine in the same stage of pregnancy and of the same age were selected into control group. Serum thyrotropin(TSH),free triiodothyronine(FT3)and free thyroxine (FT4)levels were determined by solid-phase chemiluminescent enzyme immunoassay method(CMIA). The thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb) and thyroglobulin antibody(TGAb)concentration were detected by electrochemiluminescent assay(ECLIA). Results TSH levels were signifi-cantly higher in patients comparing to the control group(P<0.01). In addition,severe group showed higher TSH levels than mild group(P<0.01). FT4 and FT3 levels were obviously decreased with the progression of the disease(P<0.01 and P<0.05). The positive rate of TPOAb in mild group was significantly higher than that in moderate group(OR=9.8,P<0.05). There was no significant difference of the TGAb positive rate among three patient groups(P>0.05). The incidence of subclinical hypothyroidism and clinical hypothyroidism in severe group was significantly higher than that in mild group and in control group(OR=2.5,P<0.05 and OR=9.0,P<0.05;OR=8.0,P<0.01 and OR=43.4,P<0.01). Conclusion Our re-sults indicated that 24-hour urine protein in severe preeclampsia patients has extensive effects on thyroid hormones levels. With the increasing of quantitative 24-hour urinary protein,the level of TSH increased and the FT4 decreased. Thyroid autoantibody positiveness has extensive effects on 24- hour urine protein. Incidence of hypothyroid increased with the increase of quantitative 24-hour urinary protein. 24-hour urinary protein quantitative was a risk factor for hypothyroidism in severe preeclampsia patients. More attention should be paid to the monitoring of 24-hour urinary protein in se-vere preeclampsia patients.
