1.Respiratory distress syndrome in late preterm neonates delivered by elective cesarean section
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2013;20(1):96-98
Late preterm neonates have immature respiratory systems and higher incidence of respiratory distress syndrome compared with term neonates. With the increase rate of elective cesarean section world-wild,the association between elective cesarean section and late preterm neonates respiratory distress syndrome has attracted a huge attention.Clinical data have showed that the incidence of respiratory distress syndrome was significantly increased in late preterm neonates delivered by elective cesarean section. The delay of lung fluid movement dilutes the concentration of pulmonary surfactant and causes the alveolar collapse.Compared with early preterm neonates, the respiratory distress syndrome of late preterm neonates appears later with a worse reaction of pulmonary surfactant and higher incidence of complications. Thus, vaginal delivery of late preterm neonates is the optimal choice and early diagnosis and therapy of respiratory distress syndrome is very important.
2.Exploration of the Solution of Hospital Pharmacy Waiting Time for Medicine Based on Response Time
China Pharmacy 2016;27(1):127-128
OBJECTIVE:To provide suggestions for solving the problem of hospital pharmacy waiting time for medicine. METHODS:The definition and classification of the response time in hospital pharmacy dispensing process were introduced. The re-sponse time was considered to analyze the causes of waiting time for medicine in outpatient pharmacy and central pharmacy. The scheme for shortening the waiting time for medicine were put forward. RESULTS&CONCLUSIONS:The response time can be di-vided into 2 types,i.e. relative invariable and relative variable;the former results from hardware factor, system factor and other factors, and is relative stable and hardly changed;the latter results from that the speed of previous step is higher than that of next step, and can be changed by certain method, such as adjusting the proportion of manpower allocation, adjusting manpower tempo-rarily. Based on the concept of response time, the essence of waiting time for medicine can be understood accurately and deeply, and countermeasure can be found out fundamentally and used for other steps as prescribing prescription.

Objective To evaluate left ventricular (LV) remodeling and function after acute myocardial infarction (MI) in rats using speckle tracking imaging (STI). Methods The left anterior descending coronary was ligated to induce MI in twenty normal rats. One day after creation of MI, fifty survivals based on the diagnostic criteria of MI were divided into 4 groups as follows:pre-infarction, 1 day,4weeks,and 8 weeks after MI. Echocardiography was performed to evaluate the changes of left ventricularfunction in rats. M-mode and two-dimensional cross-sectional echocardiography data were acquired at the papillary muscle level and digitally stored for further analysis. Circumferential strain rate(SRcir) and radial strain rate(SRrad) indexes were measured by STI software for each animal. Results One day after MI,indexes of SRcir and SRrad in anterior and lateral segments were significantly decreased (P <0.01, for both). Four weeks after MI,compared with baseline,SRrad and SRcir were decreased in all segments ( P <0.01). Eight weeks after MI, however, SRrad and SRcir showed no significant difference compared with 4weeks group. Conclusions STI can correctly identify LV dysfunction in rats and can be used for serial assessment of cardiac remodeling in rats models.

A series of andrographolide derivatives with the structure of 12-N-substituted-14-deoxyandrographolide were synthesized from the parent compound andrographolide.Their antitumor activities were preliminarily evaluated on various cancer cell lines and compound 4d stood out due to its potent growth inhibitory effect in comparison with andrographolide.Compound 4d also demonstrated significant antitumor effect on human hepatoma HepG2cells in vitro and on sarcoma 180 (S180) and hepatoma 22(H22)-bearing mice in vivo. Then, the apoptosis induced by compound 4d in HepG2cells was detected by Annexin V/PI double staining assay.Further mechanic study showed that the expression of p53 and Bax was significantly elevated and that of Bcl-2was downregulated in 4d-treated HepG2cells.Collectively,these data suggested that compound 4d had remarkable antitumor effect both in vitro and in vivo and could effectively induce apoptosis via a p53-dependent pathway in HepG2 cells, thus deserving further investigation.

Objective To investigate the sniff nasal inspiratory pressure (SNIP) of Chinese boys. Methods 299 healthy boys aged 5-12 years were measured with SNIP. Their height, weight, and age were recorded. Results The SNIP averaged (76.9±22.6) cmH2O, and was (59.1±14.2) cmH2O, (76.9±19.5) cmH2O, (85.3±23.5) cmH2O and (83.0±22.6) cmH2O in the boys of 5-6 years old, 7-8 years old, 9-10 years old and 11-12 years old, respectively. It was significantly different among boys of 5-6 years old, 7-8 years old and 9-10 years old (P<0.05), but no significant difference between 9-10 years old and 11-12 years old (P=0.55). Regression analysis indicated significant relations of SNIP with age, height, weight and Body Mass Index (P<0.01). Conclusion The SNIP of Chinese healthy boys are different from abroad. It is necessary to establish the Chinese children SNIP reference range.

Chromium is a harmful contaminant showing mutagenicity and carcinogenicity. Therefore, detection of chromium requires the development of low-cost and high-sensitivity sensors.Herein,blue-fluorescent carbon quantum dots were synthesized by one-step hydrothermal method from alkali-soluble Poria cocos polysaccharide, which is green source, cheap and easy to obtain, and has no pharmacological ac-tivity due to low water solubility. These carbon quantum dots exhibit good fluorescence stability, water solubility,anti-interference and low cytotoxicity, and can be specifically combined with the detection of Cr(Ⅵ)to form a non-fluorescent complex that causes fluorescence quenching,so they can be used as a label-free nanosensor.High-sensitivity detection of Cr(Ⅵ)was achieved through internal filtering and static quenching effects. The fluorescence quenching degree of carbon dots fluorescent probe showed a good linear relationship with Cr(Ⅵ)concentration in the range of 1-100 μM.The linear equation was F0/F=0.9942+0.01472[Cr(Ⅵ)](R2=0.9922),and the detection limit can be as low as 0.25 μM(S/N=3),which has been successfully applied to Cr(Ⅵ)detection in actual water samples herein.

Objective To compare the detection rate of esophageal and cardiac mucosal lesions be?tween screening endoscopy and conventional routine endoscopy. Methods Using iodine staining,a total of 8 918 patients aged 40?69 were screened for esophageal and cardiac early cancer in Xianju and Tiantai county of Zhejiang Province from January 2010 to July 2013.Matched with age, data of 43 834(the conven?tional group) patients who underwent routine endoscopy during the same time period were also retrieved. The detection rates of esophageal and cardia mucosa lesions in both groups were compared and analyzed. Results The detection rate of esophageal mucosal lesions in screening group was significantly higher than that in the conventional group[7?? 48%(667/ 8 918)VS 2?? 17%(953/ 43 834),P<0?? 001].The total detection rate was the lowest in 2010 among 4 years, while that in 2011?2013 were higher and similiar. The detection rate of cardiac mucosal lesions in screening group was higher than that in the conventional group [ 0?? 78%(70/ 8 918)VS 0?? 70%(309/ 43 834)] without significant difference(P>0?? 05). The detection rates of low grade intraepithelial neoplasia, high grade intraepithelial neoplasia and mucosa cancer and total detection rates between 2 groups were similar(P>0?? 05). Conclusion Through training, endoscopists can grasp the skills of finding esophageal mucosal lesions. Iodine staining should be used as addition to conventional endos?copy in areas with high incidence of esophageal cancer. Conventional white light endoscopy plays a limited role in detection of cardia mucosal lesion, depending on joint inspection of other related methods.
