Both microRNA and DNA methylation are the important contents of epigenetic modification.Lots of studies have confirmed that mutual regulation of microRNA and DNA methylation involve in tumorgenesis and development of cancer. The studies of their mechanisms bring some new ideas for investigating the pathogenesis of tumors, and provide a theoretical basis for the early diagnosis and treatment.

Objective To explore facial characteristics of patients with different organ diseases; To provide some references for objective study on TCM inspection information. Methods Smart TCM-I type Life Information Analysis Systems was used to detect facial characteristics of 510 patients with five zang-organs diseases. 36 specific quantitative parameters including red ?, green (G), blue (B) and hue (H), saturation (S), value (V) of the face, forehead, eyes, cheeks, nose and chin were collected, and the Kruskal M-Wallis H and Nemenyi test were used for statistical analysis. Results Among the 510 patients with five zang-organs diseases, 96 patients belonged to lung system diseases, 105 heart system diseases, 101 liver system diseases, 107 spleen and stomach system diseases and 101 kidney system diseases. There was statistical significance in R, G, B, H, S, and V in forehead, eyes, cheeks and nose. Conclusion Facial characteristics can provide objective references for the facial division of five zang-organs diseases.

Objective To compare the application of CUBIC and iDISCO clearing methods in observing 3D imaging of spinal cord with immunofluorescent staining. Methods 1 mm thick spinal cord coronal sections were processed with CUBIC and iDISCO, respectively. The neurofilament (NF) protein was detected by immunofluorescent staining and then was observed by a laser confocal microscope. Results Compared with CUBIC, iDISCO had the advantages of shorter time, higher transparency (F=6.64, P<0.01), and deeper penetration (F=5117.55, P<0.01). Conclusion Immunofluorescent staining combined with iDISCO could completely observe the spinal axons with shorter time and better stain effect.

By comparing WHO International Standard Terminologies on Traditional Medicine in the Western Pacific Region with International Standard Chinese-English Basic Nomenclature of Chinese Medicine from the aspects of word-formation methods, translation methods and specific noun terminology translation methods, this article analyzed the advantages and disadvantages in the translation of pulse condition name terms (floating pulse, deep pulse, rapid pulse, slow pulse, feeble pulse, replete pulse kinds of pluse condition, and intermittent pulse, large pulse, soft pulse) in the two International Standards, with a purpose to provide references for the work of the international standardization of TCM terms.

Chinese Journal of Medical Genetics 2016;33(3):392-395
Parkinson's disease (PD) is a common age-related neurodegenerative disorder characterized mainly by motor dysfunction resulting in bradykinesia, rigidity, tremor, gait impairment, and postural instability. The classic pathogenic feature of PD is preferential loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra. Downregulation of rRNA transcription is one of major mechanisms to maintain cellular homeostasis under stress conditions. Nucleolar stress has emerged as a component of the degenerative process caused by impaired rRNA transcription and altered nucleolar integrity. Recent study has indicated that the response to stress conditions and quality control mechanisms are impaired in PD, and that metabolic stress may be a trigger mechanism for PD. This review aims to present evidence for a role of nucleolar stress in PD and has summarized mechanisms by which nucleolar stress may play a role in the progression of PD.

OBJECTIVETo detect potential mutations of the spastic ataxia of Charlevoix-Saguenay (SACS) gene in a pedigree affected with autosomal recessive spastic ataxia of Charlevoix-Saguenay (ARSACS).
METHODSGenomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood samples of the proband and her family members. All exons and flanking sequences of the SACS gene were analyzed by high-throughput sequencing. Suspected mutations were verified with Sanger sequencing.
RESULTSNext generation sequencing revealed novel compound heterozygous mutations of the SACS gene, namely c.13085T to G (p.I4362R) and c.5236dupA (p.T1746fs), in the proband, which were respectively derived from her parents. The mutations were confirmed by Sanger sequencing.
CONCLUSIONThe c.5236dupA (p.T1746fs) and c.13085T to G (p.I4362R) mutations of the SACS gene probably underlie the ocular symptoms and hearing loss in the proband.

Objective:To search the English literatures on prescription refills for chronic diseases for a systemic analysis and to explore the mode and the management measures in order to develop the prescription refill and medication therapy management service for patients with chronic diseases in China .Methods:In the pubmed database , the literatures related to prescription refills published before April 2016 was retrieved. The literatures were analyzed by classification of country or region , the types of drugs and the other in-formation.Results:It was found that the United States , Britain and Sweden were the countries with the most prescription refills .The medications for hypertention , diabetes , hyperlipidemia and other chronic diseases respectively were the most types of medications men -tioned.Age, educational level, race, language, type of medication, and so on.were the factors that affected patient compliance . Pharmacists played a role in auditing , intervention and follow-up in prescription refills programs .Conclusion: The programs of pre-scription refills is well developed in America and Europe , which may be a good way to solve the demand in long-term caremedication therapy for those patients in China .

Objective: To summarize the clinical effects of Shuxuening Injection on diseases and evaluate the quality of evidence to provide reference for the clinical application of Shuxuening Injection. Methods: Journal articles and conference papers were retrieved from the databases CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, CBM, EMbase, Pubmed and Cochrane with thematic word"Shuxuening"in Chinese and English, then all forms of clinical studies were screened and the disease types and frequency were analyzed, the dominant disease types of Shuxuening Injection were identified. Futhermore, RCT was extracted, and the literature quality was graded using the cochrane manual recommendation method, and its effectiveness and safety were evaluated. Results: All clinical research results show that Shuxuening Injection to treat disease with as many as 74 kinds of varieties, mainly circulation system disease and neural system disease, followed by endocrine disease, respiratory disease, scattered remaining research in ten other system diseases. These researches appeared with the highest frequency of the three diseases were cerebral infarction and its aftermath, angina pectoris and coronary heart disease, diabetes mellitus and its complication. A total of 337 RCT articles were included, all of which were of poor quality. In general, the efficiency of Shuxuening Injection treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group, with a total efficiency of 84.48%. There were 21.96% references to adverse reactions, but all of them were minor adverse reactions, such as pruritus, which generally got better by itself or after treatment. Conclusion:Shuxuening Injection has a wide range of clinical application and remarkable effect, especially for the ischemic diseases of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases with good efficacy, less adverse reactions and safety. However, the quality of evidence is generally poor, which needs further study.
