1.Level of Plasma Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid in Autism

Objective To explore the level of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) in blood plasma and its relation with the behavior ofchildren with autism. Methods High performance liquid chromatography was used to measure the level of free PUFAs of blood plasma in30 autistic children and 20 healthy children. Conner's Parent Rating Scale (parents) and the Repetitive Behavior Scale-Revised (RBS-R) RatingScale were used to evaluate the behavior of the children, and the relationship between the PUFAs level and abnormal behavior in the childrenwas also analyzed. Results The level of α-linolenic acid (ALA), docosahexenoic acid (DHA) and total n-3 PUFAs were lower in autisticchildren than in healthy children (P<0.05), especially lower in DHA (P<0.01). There was no significant difference in n-3 PUFAs betweentwo groups (P>0.05); There were negatively correlations between the level of DHA and total n-3 PUFAs in blood plasma and impulsion-hyperactivity,hyperactivity index, learning, anxiety, stereotypic behavior, self-injurious behavior, compulsions, ritualistic behavior and samenessbehavior. Conclusion The level of n-3 PUFAs in blood plasma of autistic children was lower than the healthy children and the level ofPUFAs were correlated with the behavior of autistic children.

3.Study on the Interaction between Cisplatin and Bovine Serum Albumin by Fluorescent Spectrometry

Objective:To study the interaction between cisplatin and bovine serum albumin ( BSA) under the simulated human physiological condition. Methods:The interaction mechanism of BSA and cisplatin was investigated by fluorescent spectrometry; the binding constant, binding site and interaction force were studied, and the interaction effects on the conformation change of BSA were investigated as well. Results:The results of fluorescent spectrometry showed that a ground state complex was formed between cisplatin and BSA, and the mechanism of fluorescence quenching was static quenching. The binding parameters of cisplatin and BSA were as follows:the binding constant was 1. 36 × 104 L·mol-1 , the binding site was 0. 991, and the interaction was mainly driven by hydrogen bonds and Van Der Waals forces. The results of synchronous fluorescent spectrometry demonstrated that the interaction influenced the micro-environments of amide acid residues. Conclusion:Cisplatin can interact with BSA and change the conformation of BSA.
4.Application and Assessment of CT Scanning in Percutaneous Pulmonary Valve Implantation

Objective: To assess the application value of CT scanning in percutaneous pulmonary valve implantation (PPVI). Methods: A total of 19 patients with severe pulmonary regurgitation planed to receive PPVI in our hospital from 2014-05 to 2016-07 were studied. CT scan and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) were conducted to collect the data of pulmonary root anatomy and to compare the difference of pulmonary annulus size measured by CT and TTE. The accuracy of pre-operative measurement was evaluated by the follow-up study at (1-26) months after the operation. Results: In all 19 patients, the mean anatomic measurements by CT were as follows: diameter of pulmonary annulus (24.3±3.5) mm, diameter of pulmonary sinotubular junction (25.4±4.0) mm, diameter at distal of main pulmonary artery (27.5±4.8) mm, diameter of right ventricular outflow tract (36.8±7.3) mm, length of main pulmonary artery (45.5±7.0) mm, diameter of left pulmonary artery (17.9±1.5) mm and diameter of right pulmonary artery (18.5±3.6) mm. The diameter of pulmonary annulus measured by CT was larger than TTE, P<0.05. During (1-26) months follow-up period, no patients suffered from stent fracture or translocation, peri-pulmonary valve regurgitation, obvious pulmonary regurgitation or coronary stenosis; 1 patient had increased flow rate at right pulmonary artery opening by stent blocking and 2 patients had residue mild stenosis of pulmonary valve. Conclusion: Pulmonary annulus size measured by CT and TTE was different; CT may precisely assess the morphology of pulmonary root with adjacent area which is important for pre-operative evaluation in PPVI patients.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a class of non-coding transcripts which are greater than 200 nucleotides in length and have a variety of biological functions. Studies have found that lncRNAs play an important role in the development of gastrointestinal cancers and can affect tumor cell growth, angiogenesis, metastasis and drug resistance. This paper has reviewed lncRNAs associated with gastrointestinal cancers and explored their roles in the occurrence, diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers.

Objective:

Objective:
To evaluate the outcomes of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) patients who received HLA-matched sibling donor allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (MSD-PBSCT) .
Methods:
The clinical data of 138 MDS patients received MSD-PBSCT from Sep. 2005 to Dec. 2017 were retrospectively analyzed, and the overall survival (OS) rate, disease-free survival (DFS) rate, relapse rate (RR) , non-relapse mortality (NRM) rate and the related risk factors were explored.
Results:
①After a median follow-up of 1 050 (range 4 to 4 988) days, the 3-year OS and DFS rates were (66.6±4.1) % and (63.3±4.1) %, respectively. The 3-year cumulative incidence of RR and NRM rates were (13.9±0.1) % and (22.2±0.1) %, respectively. ②Univariate analysis showed that patients with grade Ⅲ-Ⅳ acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) or hematopoietic cell transplantation comorbidity index (HCT-CI) ≥2 points or patients in very high-risk group of the Revised International Prognostic Scoring System (IPSS-R) had significantly decreased OS[ (42.9±13.2) %
8.Content determination and chemometric analysis of 11 components in Xueli zhike syrup

OBJECTIVE To determine the contents of 11 components in Xueli zhike syrup, establish its chemometric method and provide reference for its quality control. METHODS HPLC method was established to simultaneously determine the contents of amygdalin, deapi-platycoside E, platycoside E, platycodin D3, euscaphic acid, tormentic acid, maslinic acid, corosolic acid, praeruptorin A, praeruptorin B and praeruptorin E in 12 batches of Xueli zhike syrup. The quality evaluation of 12 batches of samples was performed by chemometrics. RESULTS The 11 components had good linear relationships within their respective ranges (r≥0.999 1); RSDs of precision, reproducibility and stability (24 h) tests were all lower than 2.00%. The average recovery rates ranged 96.90%-100.01% (RSDs were all lower than 2.00%). Cluster analysis showed that 12 batches of samples were clustered into 3 groups. Principal component analysis showed that the first two principal components could represent 88.53% information of 11 components in Xueli zhike syrup. Partial least squares-discrimination analysis showed that euscaphic acid, amygdalin and praeruptorin A were the main potential markers affecting the quality of Xueli zhike syrup. CONCLUSIONS The established method can be used to control the quality of Xueli zhike syrup.
9.Clinical therapeutic effects on rheumatoid arthritis treated with the assisted therapy of acupuncture at the points detected with thermosensitive moxibustion in medicine.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the clinical therapeutic effects and safety on rheumatoid arthritis (RA) treated with acupuncture at the points detected with thermosensitive moxibustion in medicine combined with western medication.
METHODSA total of 168 RA patients in compliance with the inclusive criteria were collected and randomized into an observation group and a control group, 84 cases in each one. In the control group, in reference to the updated guideline of new drugs by the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) in 2013, the medication scheme was formulated for oral administration, methotrexate tablet 7.5 mg, once a week; salazosulfapyridine enteric-coated tablets, 100 mg, twice a day; hydroxychloroquine sulfate tablets, 20 mg, twice a day; and meloxicam tablets, 15 mg, once a day. In the observation group, besides the treatment as the control group, the acupuncture therapy at the points detected with thermosensitive moxibustion in medicine was given. The mild moxibustion was applied near to the affected joint with the moxa material of herbal medicine to detect the sensitization points. Afterwards, the acupuncture technique of medicine was given on those points, without any manipulation applied. The needles were retained for 30 min, once daily. The treatment for 2 weeks was as one course, continuously for 2 courses. The indexes were observed before and after treatment in the two groups including gripping power, the time of morning stiffness, the swollen joint count 28 (SJC 28), the tender joint count 28 (TJC 28), the disease activity score 28 (DAS 28), the score of patient global assessment of disease activity (PtGA) and the score of provider global assessment of disease activity (PhGA), as well as rheumatoid factors (RF), C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and anti-cyclic peptide containing citrulline (A-CCP). The clinical therapeutic effects were evaluated in the two groups.
RESULTSAfter 4-week treatment, a total of 163 patients accomplished the clinical trial, 81 cases in the observation group and 82 cases in the control group. The results of gripping power, the time of morning stiffness, SJC 28, TJC 28, PtGA, PhGA, DAS 28, RF, CRP, ESR and A-CCP were all improved as compared with those before treatment (all <0.05). In 4 weeks of treatment, the results of gripping power, the time of morning stiffness, SJC 28, TJC 28, PtGA, PhGA, DAS 28, as well as CRP and ESR in the observation group were better than those in the control group (all <0.05). The results of RF and A-CCP were not different significantly between the two groups (both >0.05). The total effective rate was 85.19% (69/81) in the observation group, higher than 70.73% (58/82) in the control group (<0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe acupuncture therapy at the points detected with thermosensitive moxibustion in medicine achieves the satisfactory clinical effects with few adverse effects.

Objective To compare the therapeutic effects between three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) and intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) in patients with stage Ⅱ/Ⅲ esophageal cancer and investigate the prognostic factors.Methods Medical record of 2 132 patients with stage Ⅱ/Ⅲ esophageal cancer who underwent definitive radiotherapy with/without chemotherapy in 10 hospitals from January 2002 to December 2016 from were retrospectively analyzed.Among these patients,37.9% of them were aged ≥ 70 years,33.9% with neck and upper esophageal tumors and 66.1% with middle and lower esophageal and borderline tumors.The median gross tumor volume (GTV) and lymph node gross tumor volume (GTVnd) was 41.6 cm3.Among them,32% were stage Ⅱ] and 68% were stage Ⅲ.A total of 723 patients received 3DCRT and 1 409 cases received IMRT.Patients received an equivalent dose in 2 Gy (EQD2) ≥ 60 Gy accounted for 86.1%,and 41.1% of them received concurrent chemoradiotherapy.Results The median follow-up time was 60.8 months.The 1-,3-and 5-year overall survival (OS) of all patients was 73.9%,41.7% and 32.6%,and the 1-,3-and 5-year progression-free survival (PFS) was 62.2%,37.3% and 32%,respectively.Multivariate analysis demonstrated that age,primary tumor location,clinical stage,tumor target volume,EQD2 and concurrent chemoradiotherapy were the independent prognostic factors for OS.Age,primary tumor location,clinical stage,tumor target volume and EQD2 were the independent prognostic factors for PFS.The OS and PFS did not significantly differ among the low-risk,low-/moderate-risk,moderate-/high-risk and high-risk groups according to age≥70 years,tumor diameter>5 cm,tumor volume ≥41.6 cm3 and stage Ⅲ (P<0.001).After the propensity score matching (PSM) method,neither 3DCRT nor IMRT yielded significant advantages in OS or PFS (P=0.971;P=0.658).However,IMRT tended to yield survival benefits in low-risk patients (P=0.125).Conclusions Both 3DCRT and IMRT yield relatively high OS rate in patients with stage Ⅱ/Ⅲ esophageal cancer.The prognosis model established in this investigation can properly predict the survival of patients.Low-risk patients tend to obtain survival benefits from IMRT.
