Objective To investigate the electromyographic changes in the anterior temporal and masseter muscles of patients with long-term unilateral mandibular first molar loss. Methods Eighteen patients with one-year or more than one-year loss of unilateral mandibular first molar were selected as experimental group, and eighteen volunteers from similar places, had similar dietary habits in the same age and gender with normal occlusion were recruited as control group. Surface electromyography was used for the evaluation of the electrical activities of bilateral anterior temporal and masseter muscles in mandibular postural position ( MPP ) , maximal clenching in intercuspal position ( ICP) and masticating situations. The data were analyzed using SPSS 17. 0 software package to compare the differ-ences among groups. Results The average electrical activities of anterior temporal and masseter muscles in MPP of experimental group were significantly higher than the contral group, and the missing side was higher than the non-missing side ( P <0. 05 ) . The average electrical activities of anterior temporal and masseter muscles in maximal clenching and masticating were significantly lower than the control group, especially in the masticating situation( P<0. 05 ) . The asymmetry index of anterior temporal muscles and masseter muscles in MPP and maximal clenching were significantly different(P<0. 05). Conclusion Long-term loss of unilateral mandibular first molar can affect the electrical activities of the anterior temporal muscles and masseter muscles in the experimental group, especially for the missing side and in the masticating situation. These results also suggest that it might be one of the potential factors on mastication system disorders.

Objective To investigate any correlation between diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) results and Montreal cognitive assessment (MoCA) scores after severe traumatic brain injury (TBI).Methods Eight male pa-tients with chronic severe TBI were given the MoCA (including memory, attention, speech and executive function).DTI was used to quantify the fractional anisotropy (FA) of white matter fiber tracts in the radial and longitudinal fasciculus, under longitudinal fasciculus, internal capsule, corpus callosum genu and body, and the cingulate cortex.Pearson correlation coefficients were calculated to quantify the correlation between the FA values and MoCA scores. Results There was a positive correlation between FA in the corpus callosum body, corpus callosum genu and the superior longitudinal fasciculus and MoCA total scores. Conclusion The MoCA scores of patients with chronic severe TBI are related to white matter damage in the corpus callosum body, corpus callosum genu and the superior longitudinal fasciculus.

Objective:To explore the effects of caffeine on the prevention of Alzheimer's disease (AD).Methods:Use Ethanol as a solvent to extract the caffeine in tea and then injecting 5% D-galactose saline solution 1ml/d/kg to establish aging model mice.Divide mice randomly into experimental group (high-dose/low-dosecaffeine),positive control group, negative control group, and normal con-trol group (NS) and injecting appropriate drugs for consecutive four weeks.Test superoxyde dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehvde (MDA) periodically.Take mice's hippocampus and use Western blotting to detect the expression of brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and extracellular signal-regulated kinasesl/2 (p-ERK1/2).Results:The expression of BDNF and p-ERK1/2,negative control group is less than low-dose experimental group and positive control group (P<0.01);The p-ERK1/2 expression of injecting D-galactose mice was significantly lower than normal group, negative control group compared weth the normal group, the differencd was significant (P<0.05).The level of SOD in model group was significantly lower than that in normal control group, high, low dose caffeine group and positive control group (P<0.01),but the level of MDA is opposite. Conclusions:Caffeine can delay aging process by increasing the level of SOD in aging mice, and enhancing the expression of BDNF and P-ERK1/2.Caffeine does a lot to prevent AD.

IFIT family genes are a kind of interferon stimulated genes (ISGs), and play important roles in antiviral sector and immunity regulation. To study the regulatory effect of IFIT family genes during influenza A virus (IAV) infection, we used RNA-sequencing analysis (RNA-Seq) technique and found that when 293T cells were infected by A/WSN/33 (WSN), the concentration of IFIT family genes were increased. Further study reveals that overexpression of IFIT2 or IFIT3 could inhibit IAV replication and transcription, and cause the dose-dependent inhibition of polymerase activity of vRNP. In addition, IFIT2 and IFIT3 encoding protein could colocalize with NS1 in 293T cells infected by WSN, indicating that they might interact with each other. The results suggest that IFIT family genes can inhibit the replication and transcription of IAV, which contributes to our understanding of the regulatory effect of host factors during influenza virus infection.

Objective:
To investigate the hepatitis C prevention and control knowledge among clinicians in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, so as to provide the evidence for intensified training and improved diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis C among clinicians.
Methods:
In November, 2021, clinicians were sampled using a stratified random sampling method from a city-level and a county (district)-level hepatitis C designated hospital in Jiaxing City. A questionnaire survey was performed using the Questionnaire for Hepatitis C Prevention and Control Knowledge among Clinicians, and the awareness of basic knowledge, professional knowledge and related knowledge about hepatitis C prevention and control among clinicians were descriptively analyzed.
Results:
A total of 186 questionnaires were allocated and 179 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate was 96.24%. The respondents included 107 men (59.78%) and 72 women (40.22%) and had a mean age of (37.06±9.46) years. There were 107 respondents with a bachelor degree (59.78%), 56 with junior professional titles (31.28%), and 170 from non-infectious disease departments (94.97%). The awareness of basic hepatitis C prevention and control knowledge was 96.09%, and the awareness of “Transfusion of blood containing hepatitis C virus may acquire hepatitis C” was high (98.88%), and the awareness of “Hepatitis C can be cured” was low (77.09%). The awareness of professional hepatitis C prevention and control knowledge was 3.91% to 100.00%, and the awareness of “Pathogens of hepatitis C” (100.00%) and “Recommended screening populations for hepatitis C” (86.59%) was high, while the awareness of “There are two categories of hepatitis C cases: clinically diagnosed cases and confirmed cases” (3.91%) and “Clinical diagnosis of hepatitis C: positive anti-HCV antibody + any one of abnormal liver function or epidemiological history or clinical symptoms” (3.91%) was low. The awareness rates of “The state has included antiviral agents against hepatitis C into medical insurance” was and “Antiviral agents against hepatitis C are reimbursed in outpatient and inpatient departments of our hospital” were 81.56% and 59.78%, respectively. There were 69 clinicians participating hepatitis C-related training within one year (38.55%), and the awareness of clinicians that had participated in hepatitis C-related training had a higher awareness rate of basic hepatitis C prevention and control knowledge than those without participation (100.00% vs. 93.64%, P<0.05).
Conclusion
The awareness of basic hepatitis C prevention and control knowledge is high among clinicians in Jiaxing City; however, the training on diagnosis and classification criteria of hepatitis C and related medical insurance policy require to be improved.
