Objective To investigate the triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1(TREM-1) of cord blood leukocytes in neonates and the transcription level of mRNA, and analyze its promoting function of inflammatory cytokine secretion. Methods During the period from September 2013 to March 2014, cord blood was collected from 20 term neonates at the time of birth, and peripheral blood was collected from 20 healthy adults. The expression of TREM-1 and TREM-1 mRNA on leukocytes was observed using flow cytometry and real-time reverse transeription-polymerase chain reaction, respectively. After the whole cord blood was stimulated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or LP17 plus LPS, the contents of interleukin (IL)-6, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), IL-8 and soluble TREM-1 (sTREM-1) in the supernatant were analyzed by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. The statistical significance was determined using the one-way ANOVA test, t test, q test and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results The mean fluorescence intensity of TREM-1 on leukocytes of newborns was not different compared with healthy adults (P>0.05), while the percentage of TREM-1 positive on polymorphonuclear cells was lower than that of healthy adults [(82.3±7.1)% vs (98.6±4.8)%, P<0.05]. The level of TREM-1 mRNA in newborns was lower than in healthy adults (1.16±0.13 vs 1.63±0.24, t=7.714, P<0.01). The LPS treatment significantly increased sTREM-1 in newborn whole blood compared with the control treatment [(156.7±36.3) vs (34.6±6.1) pg/ml, t=13.623, P<0.01]. The concentration of IL-6, TNF-αand IL-8 decreased significantly when TREM-1 was blocked by LP17. In addition, the concentration of sTREM-1 showed a positive correlation with the levels of TNF-α(r=0.519, P<0.05), IL-6 (r=0.507, P<0.05) and IL-8 (r=0.538, P<0.05). Conclusions Healthy newborns exhibit expression of TREM-1 on monocytes similar to healthy adults, and most PMNs express TREM-1 at the newborn stage. Blocking the TREM-1 signal transduction pathway may reduce inflammatory responses of neonate leukocytes.

Objective To study the intervention effect of tanshinone on electrophysiological abnormality of hypertrophic cardicoyte in order to illuminate the underlying mechanism of tanshinone in preventing the arrhythmia induced by myocardial hypertrophy. Method Twenty-week-rid SD rats (200~250 g) were divided into 4 groups (8 in each group) randomly. Of 4 groups, rats of three groups were operated on by a procedure of 'one kidney one clamp' to make renal artery constriction. The rest group served as sham operation group (control group). When the blood pressure increased, rats of operation groups were divided into tanshinone group, captopril group and hyper-trophic group. The effects of tanshinoe and captopril were observed and compared on the action potential duration (APD),L-type calcium current (ICa, L) and transient outward potassium current (Ito) density in cellular membrane of hypertrophic myocardium by using patch clamp and intra-cellular calcium survey technique. Results The blood pressure in operation groups was obviously higher than that in sham-operation group (P<0.01), but there was no difference between operation groups (P>0.05). The ratio of ventricle weight to body weight (VW/BW) was much higher in hypertrophic group than in control group (P<0.01), and it significantly decreased after interven-tion with tanshinone or captopril (P<0.01). Compared with hypertrophic group, tanshinone markedly shortened the prolongation of action potential duration (P<0.01), decreased membrane capacity and peak amplitude of ICa,L(P<0.01), but had no effect on the density of ICa,L. Tanshinone also significantly increased Ito current density and peak amplitude, which were completely different from hypertrophic group (P<0.05). There were similar results foundin captopril intervention. Conclusions Tanshinone could reduce calcium influx and resume the activity of ho ion channels, and thus shorten the first phase and the plateau phase of repolarization and decrease the prolongation of APD in hypertrophic cadiocyte. So tanshinone can prevent the onset of arrhythmia attributed to the myocardial hypertrophy.

Objective To promote the understanding of X-ray examination in the diagnosis of solitary globular lesion of lung. Methods Of 402 cases with solitary globular lung lesion, 398 were proved by operation, pathology and 4 cases of lung abscess were proved by clinical therapy. Anteroposterior radiogrphs were taken in all cases;lateral radiogrphs were taken in 368 cases. Results Of these cases ,there were peripheral lung cancer 96,tuberculoma 33,lung echinococcosis 253, lung abscess 9, pulmonary metastatic carcinoma 3.There were no characteristic signs in the rare diseases. Therefore , it's difficult to diagnose these lesions. The rare diseases include inflammatory pseudotumor 2, pulmonary hamartoma 2 , lung sarcoma 2 , pneumoblastoma 1 and lung fibroma 1. Conclusion X-ray examination is important in the diagnosis of solitary globular lung lesion.

Objective:
To investigate the clinical effect and safety of Wanfeile in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED).
METHODS:
Totally 100 ED patients received oral Wanfeile at 100 mg, once every 3 days, for a course of 3 months. We compared the IIEF-5 scores of the patients before and after medication and among the patients with different degrees of ED. We evaluated the total clinical effectiveness of Wanfeile and analyzed adverse reactions.
RESULTS:
The total effectiveness rate of Wanfeile was 95.6%. All the patients showed significant improvement in the IIEF-5 scores after treatment as compared with the baseline (P <0.05). Adverse reactions were observed in 5 cases (5.50%), all mild and transient.
CONCLUSIONS
Wanfeile is safe and efficacious for the treatment of ED.
