Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2011;20(5):431-433
Objective To analyze the relationship between alexithymia and patients' satisfaction under the condition of good quality in the esthetic characters. Methods 211 patients requiring single anterior tooth restoration were treated with all ceramic crowns which were assessed by the good and moderate degrees. Patients received 20-item Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) and a visual analogue scale assessing patients' satisfaction (VAS). Chi-squared analysis, correlation analysis and the general linear modeling procedure were calculated for TAS total and factors scores according to age, gender and dichotomized satisfaction. Results 85. 3% patients belonged to the high satisfaction group(VAS scores 80 or higher) and 7.1% reported alexithymia ( total score 61 or higher). No difference across gender was observed in the prevalence of alexithymia and satisfaction. Age was correlated with the TAS scores ( r=0.629) and satisfaction scores ( r= -0.429). According to dichotomized satisfaction,TAS total and factor 1&2 scores were significantly different. When adjusting for the effect of age,the association was existed between TAS scores and san'sfaction( r= -0.68). Conclusion Alexithymia has effect on dental satisfaction.

3.Postoperative radiologic evaluation of spinal balance in idiopathic scoliosis patients
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2000;0(11):-
Idiopathic scoliosis is a common disorder in spinal surgery, and operative intervention with three-dimensional interfixation is an effective treatment for it. Postoperative evaluation of spinal balance is an important index to evaluate the efficacy of the operative intervention. The radiologic parameters for evaluating postoperative spinal balance in coronal, sagittal and axial view were reviewed in this article.
6.Diagnosis of Cytomegalovirus Infection in Children
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(22):-
Cytomegalovirus(CMV) is an important pathogen of congenital and postnatal infections in children, which causes a series of acute and chronic infectious diseases and nervous system sequelaes.Early and accurate diagnosis of pediatric CMV infection is an effective way to improve health in children. This paper will introduce the types, laboratory techniques and diagnostic strategies of CMV infection based on the diagnostic standards at home and abroad, and also focus on current progress in diagnosis of pediatric CMV infection.

Objective To investigate the correlation between the unilateral middle cerebral artery (MCA)stenosis ratio and cerebrovascular reserve(CVR) using computed tomography perfusion (CTP) and CO2 inhalation test in patients with unilateral middle cerebral artery stenosis. Methods CTP were performed in 31 patients who were diagnosed as unilateral middle cerebral stenosis before and after CO2 inhalation. The basal ganglia and radial dimension were selected as interested regions (thickness 8 mm).The value of cerebral blood flow (CBF) was measured and the mean CBF values of all interested regions in each MCA territory were harvested separately. Then the CVR of each MCA territory was calculated according to the following formula:CVR =(CBF after CO2 inhalation test-CBF before CO2 inhalation test)/ CBF before CO2 inhalation test × 100%.Patients were divided into two groups:the severe stenosis group and the moderate stenosis group. The association between the MCA stenosis ratio and the CVR values was investigated. Results In 31 patients, different changes of CBF were found in affected MCA territory after CO2 inhalation.CBF increased in 17 cases, unchanged in 2 cases and decreased in 12 cases.A decreased CVR was detected in 51.6% of the patients(16/31) and more likely found in the severe stenosis group (13/19) than that in the moderate stenosis group(3/12,P =0.029).The degree of stenosis in MCA was also significantly correlated with the changes of CVR(r =0.423,P =0.018).Conclusions CVR is decreased in some patients with unilateral MCA stenosis and significantly correlates with the severity of stenosis in MCA.

Objective To investigate the risk factors of post-operative cardiovascular or pulmonary complications in patients with gastrointestinal tumor. MethodsThe data of 352 cases with gastrointestinal tumor were analyzed retrospectively. These patients were divided into the two groups based on with or without cardiovascular or pulmonary complications. Seven relative factors including the patients' age, sex, smoking, duration of surgery, pulmonary function, ECG, UCG, and relationship between these factors and the incidence of post-operative cardiovascular or pulmonary complications were analyzed.ResultsForty-two cases occourred cardiovascular or pulmonary complications in 352 patients. The mean age and surgery duration were (61.2±7.9) years and (3.0±0.9) hours in patients with cardiovascular or pulmonary complications, and (53.5±4.6) years and (2.7±0.7) hours in patients without cardiovascular or pulmonary complications respectively. There was a significant difference between the two groups ( P<0.05). The patients with abnormal FEV1%, FEV1/FVC%, MVV% and cardiac function before operation had higher risk for post-operative cardiopulmonary complications ( P<0.05).ConclusionAge, duration of surgery and cardiac and pulmonary dysfunction may be risk factors of cardiovascular or pulmonary complications after gastrointestinal surgery.

Objective:To analyze the clinical manifestations, skeletal muscle pathology, electromyography, skeletal muscle magnetic resonance imaging and gene mutations of a family with distant-onset DnaJ (heat-shock protein 40) homolog subfamily B member 6 (DNAJB6) myopathy. Methods:A total of three generations with three cases of the disease in a family, inherited by autosomal dominant inheritance, were collected. The examination of muscle enzymes, left biceps biopsy, skeletal muscle magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and electromyography, etc, were performed for the family 's proband. Whole-exon sequencing was performed to screen the proband for pathogenic genes, and Sanger sequencing technology was performed to verify mutation sites of the proband′s family members. Results:The proband is a 30-year-old male who began to show weakness in the distal muscles as a teenager, and then gradually developed to the proximal muscles, accompanied by muscle atrophy of the limbs, mainly affecting small muscles in the hands and distal muscles of the lower limbs. Muscle enzymes of the proband were slightly elevated. Skeletal muscle MRI indicated muscle atrophy and fatty degeneration in the proximal and distal extremities, which in the distal extremities were more severe, mainly affecting the muscle groups of the posterior group. Electromyography indicated chronic myopathic damage. Muscle pathology suggested chronic muscle fiber damage and rimmed vacuoles could be found. The proband was found a heterozygous mutation [c.298T>G(p.F100V)] in DNAJB6 gene by all-exon sequencing. Sanger sequencing confirmed that his brother (similar medical history) and the second daughter also had the same mutation, and the eldest daughter was not detected the mutation at the above site. The second daughter is not ill and is a carrier of the mutation. The father of the proband died of pancreatic cancer and had similar symptoms during his lifetime. Conclusions:The above mutation of DNAJB6 gene is the pathogenic gene of this family. The clinical features are adolescence-onset muscle weakness and atrophy in distal extremities. This is the first family report of distal-onset DNAJB6 myopathy caused by mutations at this site in China.
