Studying of atherosclerosis is more than a hundred year.There are many theories about this disease,but now most of us seems to agree with the stress-reponse theory.Heat shock proteins are the products produced at the first stage of atherosclerosis.And someone think that it may have something to do with atherosclerosis.This paper discussed the heat shock proteins and atherosclerosis respectively,and emphasized the relationship between them.
2.Changes and Mechanism of Colon Motility of the Rats in Multiple Organ Dysfunction Syndrome Induced by Bacterial Peritonitis

Objective To explore the changes of colon motility of the rats in multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) induced bacterial peritonitis and the effects of IL-6, TNF-? and induce nitricoxide synthase (iNOS) on colon motility. Methods Wistar rats were divided into two groups, which were the control group and the MODS group. The number of stool, the amplitude changes of circular smooth muscle strip, the length of smooth muscle cell, and the changes of serum NO in two groups were observed. The expressions of IL-6, TNF-? and iNOS protein and IL-6 mRNA, TNF-? mRNA and iNOS mRNA in distal colon were investigated by using immunohistochemical methods and RT-PCR. 3.Laparoscopic appendectomy in children: A report of 52 cases

Objective To explore the value of laparoscopic appendectomy (LA) in children. Methods A total of 52 children underwent laparoscopic appendectomy by using the 3-port technique from October 2002 to December 2004. Results The operations were performed smoothly in all the 52 cases. The operating time was 20~50 min (mean, 30 min). The patients were discharged from hospital at 2~4 postoperative days. Peri-port subcutaneous emphysema occurred in 2 cases. No other complications were found. Follow-up checkups for 3~29 months (mean, 14 months) in 49 cases found no intestinal obstruction or abdominal residual infection. Conclusions Laparoscopic appendectomy in children is safe, effective and minimally invasive.
4.The mechanism of tenuigenin for eliminating waste product accumulation in cerebral neurons of Alzheimer's disease rats via ubiquitin-proteasome pathway.

OBJECTIVETo explore the scavenging action of tenuigenin (TEN) on intracerebral amyloid β protein (Aβ) aggregation and the abnormal phosphorylated tau protein and its mechanism in Alzheimer's disease (AD) rats' brain.
METHODSAβ1-40 was injected into the right CA1 region hippocampus to establish the AD model. Successfully modeled rats were divided into the model group, the low, middle, high TEN group. Rats were administered with TEN (18.5, 37.0, 74.0 mg/kg) by gastrogavage. Besides, a sham-operation group was set up. Expression levels of Aβ1-40 and Tau p-Ser262 were detected by immunohistochemistry. Expression levels of ubiquitin (Ub) and Ub-protein ligase E3 were measured by Western blotting.The content of 26S proteasome was detected by ELISA.
RESULTSImmunohistochemical results showed that the number of Aβ and Tau p-Ser262 positively reacted neurons significantly increased in model group, when compared with the sham-operation group (P < 0.01). Results of Western blot showed expression levels of ubiquitinated protein were up-regulated and those of Ub-protein ligase E3 were down-regulated in the model group (P < 0.01). ELISA results showed that the content of 26S proteasome significantly decreased in AD rats' brain (P < 0.01). Compared with the model group, expression levels of Aβ1-40, Tau p-Ser262, and Ub significantly decreased; expression levels of Ub-protein ligase E3 apparently increased; the content of 26S proteasome significantly increased in each TEN treatment group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Best effect was shown in 37.0 mg/kg and 74.0 mg/kg TEN groups.
CONCLUSIONSUb proteasome pathway (UPP) participated in the occurrence of AD. TEN could obviously reduce intracere- bral Aβ1-40 accumulation and abnormal tau phosphorylation.

5.Effect of fibrinolytic enzyme FⅡ from agkistrodon acutus venom on LPS-induced renal microvascular thrombosis

Aim To evaluate the effects of fibrinolytic enzyme FⅡ from agkistrodon acutus venom on an experimental model of kidney thrombus induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS). Methods The model of microvascular thrombosis in the rabbits kidney was performed by the method of Hermida, which was induced by infusing LPS. Treatments were begun simultaneously with LPS infusion, through the contralateral marginal ear vein. Six different groups were established: NS 10 ml?h~-1 was infused as the negative control group, urokinase ~20 000 IU?kg~-1 ?h~-1 as positive control group, FⅡwas infused with the dosage of 0.1(Low-dose), 0.3 (medium-dose),0.6 (high-dose) mg?kg~-1 ?h~-1 . The further rabbits, which were given neither LPS nor FⅡ, were infused with saline solution through both marginal ear veins. Kinney sections were examined for the presence of fibrin microthrombi. The measurement of FDP concentrations was used to assess the degradation of microvascular thrombosis. Results Intense fibrin deposition was also detected and FDP concentrations were (78.21?4.79)% and (84.27?6.21)% at 2 and 6 hours after LPS administration in LPS-control group. Little fibrin deposition was detected and FDP concentration also increased in urokinase control group. A lot of fibrin deposition was detected in Low-dose FⅡ group,little fibrin deposition was detected in medium-dose FⅡ group, and no fibrin deposition was detected in high-dose FⅡ group. OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the epidemiological features in patients with allergic rhinitis (AR) in Yichang city, and put forward effective prevention and control measures.
METHOD:
Collecting the data of allergic rhinitis in city proper from 2010 to 2013, input the data into the database and used statistical analysis.
RESULT:
In recent years, the AR patients in this area increased year by year. The spring and the winter were the peak season of onset. The patients was constituted by young men. There was statistically significant difference between the age, the area,and the gender (P < 0.01). The history of allergy and the diseases related to the gender composition had statistical significance difference (P < 0.05). The allergens and the positive degree in gender, age structure had statistically significant difference (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSION
Need to conduct the healthy propaganda and education, optimizing the environment, change the bad habits, timely medical treatment, standard treatment.

8.Meta-analysis of impact of continuous renal replacement therapy dose on outcome of acute renal failure patients

Objective To assess the effect of continuous renal-replacement therapy (CRRT) dose on the outcome of acute renal failure (ARF) patients with meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Methods Studies were identified by systematic search of peer-reviewed publications in Medline, EMBASE and Cochrane library database through June 2010. All the RCTs that compared the incidence of clinical outcome such as mortality, need for chronic dialysis between standard and low dose CRRT were eligible. The pooled relative risk (RR) for clinical outcome was compiled using a random-effects model. Heterogeneity was evaluated by means of subgroup and sensitivity analysis. Results Six eligible studies were identified. By meta-analysis, standard dose CRRT was associated with non-significant 13% mortality risk reduction (RR 0.87, 95%CI 0.70-1.07, P=0.19)and 13% composite outcome risk reduction of chronic dialysis dependence and mortality (RR 0.87, 95%CI 0.69-1.09, P=0.21), but the trend toward increased chronic dialysis dependence risk among survivors (RR 1.43, 95%CI 0.94-2.18, P=0.09). The overall test for heterogeneity among cohort studies was significant (P=0.001, I2=76.2%). The risk of mortality was modality was significantly lower in some studies of which delivered dose was moer than 35 ml·kg-1·min-1,modality was continuous venous-venous hemofiltration (CVVH) and major cause was non-sepsis treated with standard dose CRRT. Conclusions Standard dose CRRT in patients with ARF does not improve survival, renal recovery and composite outcome, but decreases mortality in important subgroups including those with higher delivered dose, CVVH and non-sepsis.
9.Mechanisms of yanshu injection for overcoming multidrug resistance in breast carcinoma MCF-7 cells: an experimental research.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the mechanism of Yanshu Injection (YI) for overcoming multidrug resistance in breast carcinoma MCF-7 cells.
METHODSHuman breast carcinoma MCF-7 cells and doxorubicin-resistant MCF-7/DOX cells were treated with YI. Its inhibition on the cell proliferation was detected by MTT assay. The fluorescence intensity of doxorubicin was detected by flow cytometry. The expression of apoptosis related protein and P-glycoprotein were examined by immunoblotting after treated by YI.
RESULTSThe inhibitory action of YI on MCF-7/DOX cells was similar to that of MCF-7 cells, indicating no cross resistance (P > 0.05). 1/16 YI could obviously induce the apoptosis of MCF-7 cells and DOX cells. 1/256 YI +5 nmol/L doxorubicin and 1/128 YI +5 nmol/L doxorubicin could reduce the survival rate of MCF-7/ DOX resistant cells from 86.8% to 74.6% (P < 0.05) and 71.6% (P < 0.01) respectively, showing obvious synergistic effect. Besides, the accumulation of doxorubicin was increased after treated by YI in the MCF-7/ DOX cells. Results of immunoblotting indicated that reduction of P-glycoprotein expression was detected in MCF-7/DOX cells after exposure to YI.
CONCLUSIONYI could overcome the multidrug resistance in breast carcinoma MCF-7 cells possibly through reducing the expression of P-glycoprotein.
