Objective To find out effective ways of assessing doctors' scientific research performance via an index system so as to conduct objective evaluation. Methods An index system for assessing doctors' scientific research performance established with the Delphian method and the subjective assessment by experts were used to evaluate and mark doctors' scientific scientific performance and a comparison was then made between the two assessment methods. Results The results of the two assessment methods are basically the same, with the assessment via the index system being superior to the subjective assessment by experts. Conclusion The assessment of doctors'scienhfic research peifomance via the index system is a satisfactory way of assessment. h is also a dynamic system needing further perfection and development.
3.The Influence of Lonone and Ergosterol on the Growth and the Yield of CoQ_(10) in Yeast
Microbiology 1992;0(05):-
The influence of ?-ionone and ergosterol on the growth and the yield of CoQ_ 10 in yeast was investigated. The results indicated that ?-ionone had the stimulative effect on the biosynthesis of CoQ_ 10 in yeast, and 28.3% increase of the CoQ_ 10 content in the cell was observed when the concentration of ?-ionone in the medium was 0.208?10~ -3 mol/L. Little ergosterol also had the same effect with ?-ionone, while 31.3% increase of the CoQ_ 10 content in the cell was observed when the concentration of ergosterol in the medium was 0.15?10~ -4 mol/L. However, the biosynthesis of CoQ_ 10 was inhibited when the concentration of ergosterol was 0.60?10~ -4 mol/L. Addition of ?-ionone and ergosterol to the medium resulted in 36.1% increase over the control. The results showed that the cell could effectively accumulate more CoQ_ 10 with the addition of ?-ionone and ergosterol to the medium.

Objective To investigate the influence of low calcium dialysate (DCa1.25) and midodrine hydrochloric (MHC) on blood pressure in hemodialysis patients. Methods Dialysate calcium concentration was changed from 1.5% (DCa1.5) to 1.25% in patients with hypercalcaemia pre- or post-dialysis.For patients with intradialytic hypotension(IDH), pre-dialysis antihypertensive drugs were ceased. If that didn′t work, MHC 2.5 or 5 mg was administered to them 30 minutes before dialysis were ceased.MHC was also administered to patients who had not taken antihypertensive drugs. The blood pressure (BP) and blood volume were recorded during dialysis. UCG and autonomic nerves function test including BP supine and standing test and sustained hand-grip test were measured as well. Results Twenty-one hemodialysis patients were involved in this study including male 9 and female 12. The average age was (54.4?14.2) years old,the time on dialysis (33.04?30.1) months. When DCa1.5 was changed to DCa1.25, 9 cases (42.9%) could maintain stable BP, but IDH occurred in 10 patients(47.6%) with symptoms such as swirl, sweat or cramp, one with lower extremities cramp and one with heart discomfort but without IDH. Patients with IDH had higher proportion of abnormal BP supine and standing tests compared with patients without IDH(50% vs. 0%, P

Aim To investigate the effect and mechanism of valdecoxib on the apoptosis of human esophageal cancer cells. Methods Flow cytometry was used to observe the effect of valdecoxib on apoptosis and the cell cycle distribution of Eca109 cells.Transmission electron microscope was further used to detect the cell apoptosis. The content of LDH was examined using LDH kit.The expressions of p-p38MAPK,Fas and FasL protein were detected using flow cytometry. Results Valdecoxib of 25~400 ?mol?L~(-1) significantly induced the apoptosis of Eca109 cell line, and the rate of apoptosis was increased from(2.95?0.83)% to(48.46?0.73)%,50~400 ?mol?L~(-1) valdecoxib also decreased the proliferation index and the proportion of cells in the S phase, increased the proportion of cells in the G_0/G_1 phase, but had no effect on the proportion of cells in the G_2/M phase.Compared with those in Eca109 cells cultured in the medium with solvent, the expression of p-p38MAPK,Fas and FasL was higher in the Eca109 cells exposed to valdecoxib in a dose-dependent manner in 72 h.Conclusion Valdecoxib can induce apoptosis of Eca109 cell line partly by up-regulating the expression of p-p38MAPK/Fas/FasL.

Objective To study the relationship between osteopontin (OPN) gene expression and the development and metastasis of esophageal cancer, and explore the effect of growth inhibitory of artesunate (Art) on regulating the expression of OPN in esophageal carcinoma cells. Methods The expressions of OPN gene and protein were detected in normal esophageal tissue (24 cases), esophageal dysplasia (21 cases) and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) tissue (45 cases) byin situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry, and the relationships between the OPN gene and protein expressions and the pathological features were analyzed with SAS software. After intervention with different concentrations of Art (0, 30, 60, 120mol/L) on ESCC Eca109 cells for 24h, the levels of OPN expression and cell cycle were detected by flow cytometry. Results The expression levels of OPN gene and protein were significantly higher in esophageal cancer tissues than in esophageal dysplasia and normal esophageal tissue (P<0.01), and in esophageal dysplasia than in normal esophageal tissue (P<0.05). The expression levels of OPN gene and protein in esophageal cancer tissues showed no relations with patients' gender, age and the degree of tumor differentiation (P>0.05), but showed a positive correlation with lymph node metastasis and the invasion depth of esophageal cancer (P<0.05). After treatment by Art for 24h, the proliferation index of Eca109 cells and the expression of OPN protein decreased significantly (P<0.01) in a concentration dependent manner. Conclusions The abnormal high expression of OPN gene may participate in the occurrence, invasion and metastasis of esophageal cancer, so can be used as an objective index of metastasis for esophageal cancer. Art inhibits the growth of esophageal carcinoma cells by down-regulating the expression of OPN protein.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2015;(11):1656-1663
Due to its exquisite sensitivity, excellent molecular specificity and reduced photobleaching, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy has wide potential applications in the fields of food and drug analysis, environmental monitoring and biological detection. However, SERS is only a qualitative or semi-quantitative detection technique at the present stage, and has not yet been widely recognized as a routine quantitative technique. This review discusses the pros and cons of the quantitative surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopic techniques developed so far in the literature, and looks forward to the future trend in this field.
