Objective To investigate the effects of Ginkgo biloba extract (Egb) on the levels of matrix metalloproteinase2 (MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) in canine lung tissues during cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) .Methods Fourteen health canines weighing 14-20 kg were randomly divided into 2 groups (n = 7 each): control group and Egb group. EGb 8 mg/kg in 100 ml normal saline was infused via central vein before opening the thoracic cavity in Egb group, while equal volume of normal saline was used instead of Egb in control group. Blood samples were taken from internal jugular vein at 120 min after aortic unclamping,broncho-alveolar larage fluid was collected and lung permeability index was calculated. Then the animals were killed and the lungs removed for determination of W/D lung weight ratio and contents of MMP-2 and MMP-9.Results Egb significantly decreased lung permeability index, W/D lung weight ratio and contents of MMP-2 and MMP-9 (P < 0.05 or 0.01). Conclusion Egb can attenuate CPB-induced lung injury though decreasing the activities of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in canine lung tissues.
2.Comprehensive treatment of gastrointestinal stromal tumors
International Journal of Surgery 2008;35(8):531-534
Gastrointestinal stromal tumours(GISTs)are the most common primary mesenchymal tumours of the gastrointestinal tract and the disease is occasional and asymptomatic. Though the high rate of recur- rence after surgery, operation remains the firstline treatment of the GIST without metabasis. With the consid- eration the molecular biology of tumor, the treatment including surgery and molecular targeted therapy can im- prove the prognosis of GISTs.
3.Management of malignant bowel obstruction
International Journal of Surgery 2008;35(10):708-710
Malignant bowel obstruction (MBO) is common in patients with bowel or gynaecological canc-er. Although surgery is the primary treatment for most patients with MBO, it should not be undertaken rou-finely in patients with poor prognosis. Nasogastric drainage is only a temporary measure. Serf-expanding me-tallic stents are optimistic in malignant obstruction of the gastric outlet and proximal small bowel.
4.Phenotypes and endotypes of difficult-to-treat asthma
International Journal of Pediatrics 2021;48(3):168-172
Difficult-to-treat asthma is a complex disease with poor response to high-dose inhaled corticosteroids plus a second controller or need high levels of treatment to maintain control.Difficult-to-treat asthma represents a significant clinical challenge and a heavy medical burden due to its heterogeneity.Identification of the phenotypes and endotypes in difficult-to-treat asthma is very helpful for individualized therapy. This review summarizes the latest studies on the classification of difficult-to-treat asthma in order to provide evidence for the diagnosis and treatment of difficult-to-treat asthma in children.
5.Research progress of chimeric antigen receptor natural killer cells in hematological malignancies
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2021;44(1):77-82
Chimeric antigen receptor natural killer cell (CAR-NK) is a new promising immunotherapy. NK cell can derive from peripheral blood cells, cord blood cells, NK-92 cell line and iPSC cells. CAR-NK cells can recognize target antigens non-specifically and are not restricted by human leukocyte antigens. Allogeneic infusion of CAR-NK cells does not cause graft-versus-host disease. It has a strong effect on primary cells of leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma, thus making animal models have strong anti-tumor effect. Therefore, as a "off-the-shelf" product, CAR-NK cells have a wide range of clinical applications. In this paper, the construction of CAR-NK vector and its preliminary clinical application in hematological tumors and the challenges were reviewed.
6.Analysis on pathogenesis of keratoconus with chronic corneal trauma
International Eye Science 2014;(8):1410-1412
Keratoconus is a progressive, non - inflammatory corneal thinning disorder that produces a unique spectrum of change in the surface curvature of the cornea. The suspected factors associated with the cause of keratoconus include genetic mechanisms, familial associations, allergy, atopy and so on, but environmental factors, such as abnormal rubbing, contact lens wearing and ultraviolet radiation may be easily ignored. Although it is commonly thought that keratoconus is a result of various pathological progress mediated by multiple factors, those chronic trauma could play important roles in the pathological progress. The classic definition of keratoconus is still referred as a non - inflammation disorder with malnutrition of keratectasia, more and more clinical evidences and experimental results that may refute this concept. It may be due to the long-term persistent chronic trauma resulted from eye rubbing, contact lens or ultraviolet radiation. Under this conditions, the increased release of inflammatory mediators and matrix metalloproteinases may accelerate keratocyte apoposis and enzyme metabolism disorders, with the result of matrix cell lost, tensile strength decreased and keratectasia. Here, for some papers known about the relationship between chronic cornea trauma and keratoconus were reviewed and discussed its possible causal relationship.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(2):165-168
Based on the current shortage of genuine/false authentication and quality evaluation in the molecular identification, and the weak functional gene research in the establishment of two-dimensional molecular markering methods for Chinese materia medica, the authors proposed a new method, the bimolecular marking methods (BIMM) for Chinese materia medica, combining DNA marker and metabolomics marker, that could simultaneously research the species and quality differences at the molecular level at the present stage. The authors introduced the concept, principle, methods, and technical process of BIMM, and summarized the technical advantages in this paper. Meanwhile, the application of BIMM in the identification of multiple sources of Chinese materia medica, years-identification, different locations, elite germplasm research, discovery of new drugs resources, protection of new varieties was also discussed. As a supplement of two-dimensional molecular markering method for Chinese materia medica, BIMM would not only expand connotation of identification of Chinese materia medica but also provide another effective way for quality evaluating.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2017;33(14):1093-1097
Objective To investigate the level and impact factors of stigma in people living with stroke patients in community. Methods A total of 189 stroke patients in community were investigated by general information questionnaire, Stigma Scale for Chronic Illness, Medical Moping Questionnaire, Self-Rating Depression Scale and Social Support Rating Scale. Results The total score of stigma was (44.96± 16.71) points, score of self-stigma was (27.70±10.91) points, score of enacted-stigma was (17.26±7.00) points. Multiple regression analysis showed that stroke patients′ depression, avoiding coping, subjective support and activity of daily living were impact factors of stigma, which explained 57.5% of the variance. Conclusions Community nurses should pay attention to the stigma of stroke patients in community, especially focus on those with higher degree of depression and lower activity of daily living, guiding them to adopt positive coping strategies and enhance subjective support. Oriented by influencing factors, proper intervention should be provided to lower the level of stigma, promote psychosomatic rehabilitation.
