1.Biocompatibility of intraocular lens cytokine in aqueous humor
International Eye Science 2014;(11):1982-1986
Intraocular lens ( IOL) implantation is the major method to replace the cataract lens. How to improve the biocompatibility of IOL has been the focus of current research. Major reactions after the IOL implantation include endophthalmitis, corneal endothelial edema, iritis, uveitis, and posterior capsule opacification, etc. At cellular level, macrophages, monocytes, fibroblasts and lens epithelial cells can be detected on the surface of IOL. Their adhesion, proliferation migration, and transformation may be induced by the operation related cytokines released into the aqueous humor. Detailed analysis of cytokines profile after IOL implantation may be beneficial to explore the mechanism of posterior capsule opacification.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2009;(22):1027-1029
Objective:To study the relationship of retaining time of tympanic ventilation tube and aural complications. Method:Three-hundred-five patients(659 ears)with otitis media with effusion(OME)received tympanostomy tube insertion. The tube were removed 6-36 months after tube insertion. Then aural complications were recorded in different tube retaining time, followed with a statistic analysis. Result: Fifty-five tubes of 29 patients were removed at 1-6 months after tube insertion, with spontaneous extrusion 3.4%, blocked tube 10. 3%, intrusion into the middle ear O, granulation 'tissue O, cholesteatoma O, otorrhea 6.9%, perforation O. One hundred and ninty tubes of 96 patients were removed at 6-12 months after tube insertion, with spontaneous extrusion 7. 3%,blocked tube 15.6%, intrusion into the middle ear 1%, granulation tissue O, cholesteatoma O, otorrhea 5.2%,perforation O. Three huandred and eight tubes of 156 patients were removed at 12-24 months after tube insertion, with spontaneous extrusion 9%,blocked tube 12.8% ,intrusion into the middle ear 1.3%,granulation tissue 1.9% ,cholesteatoma 0.6%,otorrhea 2.5%,perforation was O. One hundred and sixty one tubes of 83 patients were removed at 24-36 months after tube insertion, with spontaneous extrusion 36.1%, blocked tube 53%, intrusion into the middle ear 6%, granulation tissue 3. 6%, cholesteatoma 2.4%, otorrhea 2.4%, perforation 2.4%. Conclusion:The occurrence of complication didn't increase with time going by when the ventilation tube retained less than two years. However, when the ventilation tube retained more than two years, the occurrence of spontaneous extrusion and blocked tube increased obviously.

Quality of ulcer healing (QUH) was applied to explore the mechanism of the recurrence of peptic ulcer. The relationship of QUH and epidermal growth factor, prostaglandins, heat shock proteins, immune function and Helico-bacter pylori was assayed. Mechanism of Chinese herbal medicine for the recurrence of peptic ulcer was presented as follows: improving blood circulation and barrier function of gastric mucosa, eliminating Helicobacter pylori and increas ing QUH.

NAD +-dependent cytosolic glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase in Sacch aromyces cerevisiae is one of the key enzymes in metabolic pathway of glycerol . catalysing the reduction of dihydroxyacetone phosphate to glycerol-3-phosph ate.It has two isoenzymes. To study the differences between their structures, their expression of encoding genes and their functions may help increase the understan ding of the cell response mechanism to the hyperosmotic and anoxic conditions. In this paper the research on the two isoenzymes was reviewed.

Objective To evaluate effects of pretreatment with glutamine on lung injury induced by intestinal ischemia/reperfusion(II-R) in rats. Methods Glutamine or saline were injected through tail vein before the model of intestinal ischemia/reperfusion in rats were established. The gene expression of intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1) and heat shock protein-70(HSP-70) were tested with RT-PCR methods. The levels of heat shock protein-70 in the lung were measured with Western Blotting.Myeloperoxidase and malondialdehyde and pathological changes were also measured. Results The gene expression of heat shock protein-70 was enhanced by pretreatment with glutamine, and the level of HSP-70 was parallelly increased.Nevertheless,MPO,MDA and the gene expression of ICAM-1 were inhibited. Conclusion Pretreatment with glutamine can lessen the lung injury induced by intestinal ischemia/reperfusion in rats, the induction of HSP-70 gene may be one of the potential mechanisms.

Objective To explore the inhibition role of 1 ,25 dihydroxyvitamin D3 on laryngeal cancer Hep‐2 cell proliferation and its influence on mTOR signal pathway .Methods Hep‐2 cells were treated with different concentrations of 1 ,25 dihydroxyvitamin D3 (10-8 ,10-7 ,10-6mol/L) for 24 ,48 ,72 h respectively .The proliferation situation of Hep‐2 cells was detected by the MTT meth‐od and the inhibition rate was calculated .The effect of 1 ,25 dihydroxyvitamin D3 on Hep‐2 cell cycle distribution was analyzed by flow cytometry .The influence of 1 ,25 dihydroxyvitamin D3 on mTOR signaling pathway was detected by Western blot .Results Different concentrations of 1 ,25 dihydroxyvitamin D3 could inhibit the proliferation of Hep‐2 cells ,changed the cell cycle distribu‐tion and increased the proportion of Hep‐2 cells in G0/G1 phase .The expressions of TSC1 and TSC2 protein after 1 ,25 dihydroxyvi‐tamin D3 intervention were increased compared with the control group (P<0 .01) ,while the Rheb protein expression was signifi‐cantly decreased(P<0 .01):mTOR protein and phosphorylation level were significantly decreased compared with the control group (P<0 .01) ,the decrease of mTOR protein phosphorylation was especially obvious (P<0 .01);4EBP‐1 protein expression was in‐creased compared with the control group (P<0 .01) .Conclusion 1 ,25‐dihydroxyvitamin D3 alters the Hep‐2 cell cycle distribution , affects the protein expression of mTOR signaling pathway ,thus inhibits the cell proliferation .
