PURPOSE: User-created content (UCC) has provided a considerable amount of medical information and become an important source. We aimed to evaluate the quality and scientific accuracy of precocious puberty-related UCC on YouTube. METHODS: The keywords "precocious puberty", "early puberty", "sexual precocity", and "precocity" were searched for on YouTube during June and July 2014. More than 1,500 UCC matched the keywords. According to the information provider, UCC was classified as medical, oriental, or commercial & others. We evaluated the quality and scientific accuracy of the information provided in UCC using the DISCERN instrument and information scores, respectively. RESULTS: We selected 51 UCC, which were categorized into three types: medical (n=17), oriental (n=17), or commercial & others (n=17). The overall quality score for medical UCC (3.4) was significantly higher relative to those of oriental and commercial & others UCC (2.8 and 2.3, respectively) (P<0.001). In the assessment of scientific accuracy, the mean information score for medical UCC (30.7) was significantly higher than those of oriental and commercial & others UCC (15.9 and 5.1, respectively) (P<0.001). The mean duration of oriental UCC was the longest (P<0.001), however, it was viewed less frequently among them (P=0.086). CONCLUSION: The quality and accuracy of precocious puberty-related health information in UCC were variable and often unreliable. The overall quality of UCC regarding precocious puberty was moderate. Only medical UCC provided scientifically accurate information. As UCC becomes a popular source of health information, it is important to provide reliable, scientifically accurate information.

4."Double Trouble": A case of precocious puberty with concomitant malignant gluteal mass

Philippine Journal of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility 2018;15(2):54-62
Precocious puberty is the appearance of physical and hormonal signs of pubertal development
at an earlier age than is considered normal. The causes may range from a variant of normal
development to pathologic conditions such as glands that function abnormally early in life.
This is a case of a seven year old female with clitoromegaly, early menarche and a gluteal
mass accompanied by elevated 17-hydoxyprogesterone and decreased level of cortisol which
supports the diagnosis of congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Gluteal mass cytological features
are consistent with a malignant round cell tumor.

Journal of the ASEAN Federation of Endocrine Societies 2013;28(2):167-168
A 13-year-old Indian boy presented with progressive non-painful enlargement of bilateral breasts for 2 years. (Figure1) There was no history of any drug intake that could lead to gynaecomastia with no significant past medical history. His BMI was 28.5 kg/m2, no icterus, no stigmata of liver disease, acanthosis was present, sexual maturity rating P1 A1, and stretched penile length was 5 cm, testicular volume 3 ml bilaterally of normal consistency; with a bone age of 13 years and a disc diameter of 6 cm bilaterally. Investigations revealed normal liver function tests, fasting testosterone levels of 67 ng/dl, LH 1.17 U/L, FSH 3.68 U/L, FBS 90 mg %, and PPBS 107 mg%. Considering the overall clinical picture, a diagnosis of Peripubertal Gynaecomastia was made. Obesity could have been a contributing factor to the development of this condition in this patient. He denied having taken any estrogenic compounds but environmental exposure cannot be ruled out as we did not assay for the levels of these environmental endocrine disruptors and estrogenic agents. However, increased pigmentation of nipples and areola is a common feature of gynaecomastia due to exogenous synthetic estrogen exposure which was absent in this case.

6.The validity of uro-cytogramme in the diagnosis of real premature puberty of young girls
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;481(6):18-21
Urocytogramme was made for study on 97 female pediatric children at the Pediatric Endocrinology Department of Renne Centre of Hospital and University – France. 49 cases were determined as early puberty and 48 cases were not puberty. Girl with the early development of breast, with or without other pubertal signs, having an urocytogramme of stimulated form of IK>6, IK>3, number of surface cells S>6 was determined as true early puberty. The examination was easy to make with low cost, no blood taken, the girl had not to hospitalize.

7.To study the change of the concentration of hypophysial-thyroid axis hormones on pubertal children
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;442(2):25-26
The change of thyroide function was investigated in monitoring the change of total T3, T4 and TSH levels on 33 healthy children (20 male, 13 female of 9-15 years old of age), without thyroid diseases, living in Ha Noi. Results showed that on studied subjects, total T3 account for 2.09 +/- 0.43 mol/l, T4 111.26 +/- 24.70 nmol/l and TSH 2.28 +/- 0.73. There was no difference in T3, T4 and TSH levels in male and female subjects. Their T3, T4 and TSH levels were approximate to the ones of healthy adult subjects

9.Study on some physiological index of pubertal stage among pupils in Hue city
Journal of Medical Research 2000;11(1):7-12
The study was conducted in 2518 females of age from 9 to 75. The finding showed: during the pubertal stage, the heights and weights increased quickly. The heights of Hue students started increasing rapidly at the age of 10-12, especially at 11-12 years old: their heights increased 5.95 cm per year (P<0.001); The weights gradually increased at the ages of 9 to 11, quickly increased at the age of 12: their weights increased 3,79 kg per year (P<0.001). The first menstruation was at age of 13.581.10 during the 90s decade. The first menstruation began at the younger ages during the 90s decade when comparing with that of previous decades

Need to cut the tumor and trying to maintain normal part of ovarium. For malignant tumor, treatment base on organization of tumor cell.
