Objective To develop a fast medical air(including oxygen,negative pressure air and positive pressure air) concentrated supply system for field infirmary.Methods Designed in modularized type,three subsystems can be quickly united together.Results Medical air can be supplied for large quantities of the wounded and sick in field treatment.Conclusion The system guarantees the smooth treatment for patients in field infirmary.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2008,29(2):69,75]

BACKGROUND: Beta-adrenergic activation can enhance signal-transduction pathway of endothelial nitric oxide (NO). Vascular endothelial NO production in response to β -adrenergic activation is important in the normal control of vessel tone by the sympatheadrenal system. Previous trials have demonstrated that endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) activated by isoprenaline, β -adrenergic agonist, may be correlated with phosphorylation of eNOS. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the possible protein kinase involved in the signal transduction of the eNOS activation by β -adrenoceptor (β AR) stimulation in human vascular endothelium. DESIGN: Comparative observation. SETTING: Department of Geriatrics, First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. MATERIALS: The experiment was performed at the Open Key Clinic Medical Experimental Laboratory of University of Henan Province between September 2006 and June 2007. Fresh umbilical cords were obtained following delivery of healthy babies to healthy normotensive mothers, either by vaginal delivery or by elective Caesarean section. The written informed consent was obtained from all donors. Approval was granted by the Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. Isoprenaline, H-89, Wortmannin, [3H]-L-arginine were from Sigma, USA. METHODS: Blank control group, H-89 group (protein kinase inhibitor), Wortmannin group (phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase inhibitor) and H-89+Wortmannin group were set up, and isoprenaline subgroup and blank subgroup were subdivided with 3 tubes in each group. Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) were cultured with H-89 and Wortmannin, separately for 10 minutes, then agonist isoprenaline or vehicle was added and the incubation continued for another 30 minutes, eNOS activity was determined by the conversion of [3H]-L-arginine to [3H]-L-citrulline. The results were corrected by protein concentration in the corresponding cellular extracts. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Changes in eNOS activity of each group. RESULTS: ①Basal [3H]-L-citrulline production was (3 085.62±272.72) mBq per 1 μ g protein, lsoprenaline increased [3H]-L-citrulline formation by (30.72 ± 3.91 )% compared with the control group (P < 0.001 ). H-89 or Wortmannin alone did not alter eNOS activity [(0.44± 1.00)%, (0.36±1.47)%, P > 0.051. ②The increase of eNOS activity by isoprenaline wassignificantly inhibited by pretreatment of H-89 and Wortmannin [(4.73±2.19)%, (17.35±3.72)%, P < 0.001]. ③The inhibition of protein kinase and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase to isoprenaline-induced increase in eNOS activity [(4.92± 0.99)%] was similar to protein kinase alone, but not in an additive effect (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: Protein kinase and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase are involved in the signal transduction of β- adrenoceptors mediated eNOS activation.

Objective To evaluate the dynamic viscoelasticity of unpolymerized light-cured composite resins reinforced with retentive filler(RF)or normal filler(NF),and the effect of dynamic viscoelasticity on clinical manipulation.Methods The dynamic viscoelastic properties of two light-cured composite resins reinforced with RF or NF were measured respectively with the dynamic stress rheometer.Flowing property,filling capacity,shaping and stability were designed to describe the clinical manipulation of the composites.Results The dynamic viscoelastic behavior of the composites is sensitive to changes in frequency,composite resin reinforced with RF had significantly higher shear storage modulus(G')and shear loss modulus(G″)than composite resins reinforced with NF,and had significantly lower loss tangent(tan?).The former was found to be more viscous,and the latter was found to be more elastic.Clinically,composite resin reinforced with RF has a greater ability of stability and shaping,and a lower potential for deformation;composite resin reinforced with NF has a higher flowing ability,and with a good adaptation to the cavity of the tooth.Conclusions The ideal composites should have high G' and low tan?.

Objective:To establish a method for the determination of antioxygen 1178 in 5-layer co-extrusion bags used for infu-sion. Methods:A Uitimat XB-C8 (250 mm × 4. 6 mm,5μm) column was used,the mobile phase was methanol-water with gradient elu-tion, the flow rate was 1. 0 ml·min-1 ,the detection wavelength was 223 nm,the column temperature was 35℃ and the injection vol-ume was 20 μl. Results:The concentration of antioxygen 1178 had the linear relationship within the range of 1. 64-205. 10 μg·ml-1 (r=0. 999 9),and the average recovery was 92. 05% (RSD=1. 94%, n=9). Conclusion:The method is accurate,stable and spe-cific,and can be used to determine antioxygen 1178 in 5-layer co-extrusion bags used for infusion.

Objectives:To investigate the relationship between coronoid process hyperplasia(CPH)and temporomandibular joint ankylosis(TMJA) and to analyze its pathologic mechanism and clinical meaning.Methods:28 patients with TMJA from 1984 to 2004 were retrospectively studied.The length of coronoid process and the mouth-opening degree were measured on their depicting map of panoramic radiographs.106 subjects with normal TMJ were enrolled as the controls.The relationship between CPH and case history of TMJA was statistically analysed.Results:Coronoid process in TMJA subjects was longer than that in the controls(P

The higher-grade stenosis of carotid artery may be related to soft plaque and mixed plaque, the plaque rupture is concerned with in the incidence of ischemic stroke. The diagnostic information about atherosclerotic plaque in one carotid artery can be used to infer information about atherosclerosis severity degree in contralateral artery.Color-Doppler ultrasound examination for ECCA had important reference value for estimating atherosclerosis severity degree in ECCA in patients with ICVD of carotid artery system and the pathogenesis of ischemic stroke.

Objective To investigate the expression of RCAS1 in the tissues of normal cervix,cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)and cervical cancer,and to explore their role in the pathogenesis of cervical carcinoma.Methods The expression of RCAS1 protein was analyzed by immunohistochemical S-P method in 89 cases of cervical carcinoma,82 cases of CIN,and 24 cases of normal cervical specimens.Results Immunohistochemistry showed that the expression rate of RCAS1 in normal cervix,CINⅠ,CINⅡ-Ⅲ and cervical cancer were 0.00,0.314,0.447 and 0.775,respectively.RCAS1 expression tended to increase along with tumor progression.The expression of RCAS1 in cervical cancer was significantly related to the histological grade,the tumor in different sizes(≥4cm or 0.05)betwan patients' age,clinical stage and histological classification.Conclusions The data suggested that RCAS1 might play an important role in the pathoqenesis and development of cervical carcinoma.Over expressed RCAS1 could be regard as an important parameter in malignant degree and poor prognosis of cervical cancer.

Pancreatic neoplasm is one of the most commonly-appeared digestive tumors and has been well-recognized as the poor diseases which have the difficulties in diagnosis,treatment and prognosis estimation.Recently,the detection of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) has been a pretty highlight of the research on detecting tumor cells in peripheral blood,and furthermore,the clinical value in the diagnosis,treatment and prognosis prediction has already been verified through a large amount of samples analyses in various kinds of tumor diseases.This paper aims to review and conclude the techniques of CTCs enrichment,detection and clinical implications in pancreatic neoplasms.In addition,the existing papers have been summarized and prospect of application of CTCs is also presented.

Objective To investigate the correlation of interleukin-1 family genotypes,including interleukin-1 (IL-1α,IL-1β) and interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra),with coronary heart disease (CHD) and serum lipoprotein level in the elderly.Methods Interleukin-1 family genotypes were detected in 318 elderly controls and 329 elderly CHD patients by polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphisms method.Serum levels of lipoproteins were inspected simultaneously.Results The TT and Ⅰ / Ⅰ or Ⅰ/Ⅳ genotype frequency of IL-1Ra was 90.3％ in elderly CHD patients,but 82.4％ in controls.Carriers with TT,Ⅰ / Ⅰ or Ⅰ/Ⅳ genotype of IL-1Ra were at an increased risk with an odds ratio of 1.98 in elderly CHD patients as compared with controls (x2=8.55,95％ CI:1.25-3.16).The TT and Ⅰ/Ⅰ or Ⅰ/Ⅳ genotype frequency of IL-1Ra was 96.2％ in elderly CHD patients with acute coronary syndrome,but 84.8％ in elderly CHD patients with stable angina.Carriers with TT,Ⅰ / Ⅰ or Ⅰ/Ⅳ genotype of IL-1Ra were at an increased risk with an odds ratio of 4.54 in acute coronary syndrome group as compared with stable angina group (x2=12.17,95％CI:1.81-11.36).The CT or TT genotype frequency of IL-1α-889 was 22.8％ in acute coronary syndrome group,but 7.6 ％ in stable angina group.Carriers with CT or TT genotype of IL-1α-889 were at an increased risk with an odds ratio of 3.59 as compared with stable angina group (x2 =14.93,95％CI:1.82-7.03).There were no significant differences in levels of serum lipoproteins among the different genotypes (P＞0.05).Conclusions In elderly patients with coronary heart disease,IL-1α(-889) CT or TT genotype carriers are at high risk for acute coronary syndrome,but IL-1Ra CC,TC,Ⅰ / Ⅱ or Ⅱ / Ⅱ genotype carriers are at a low risk for CHD or severe CHD.
