Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(06):-
Objective:To evaluate the wear resistance of four types of composite resin when they were opposed by human enamel antagonist. The relationship between pH value and wear resistance was also evaluated. Methods:Mutual wear between four types of composite resins(3 mm?20 mm?1 mm),Beautifit(B),SureFilTM(S),TE-Econom(T),Charisma (C),with same rough surface and opposing enamel was evaluated using a wear simulator of UMT-2 (n=10).Wear resistance was assessed as weight loss(g).The worn surfaces were observed with scanning electron microscope(SEM).All data were statistically analyzed with SPSS14.0.Results:SEM observation showed that the fillers particles of resin B,S were bigger than that of the others. Fillers of resin C was the smallest and the most well-distributed. Many filler particles were lost. In the acid environment, the enamel surface had the special appearance. The S,C,T composite resins were less worn. The weight loss of the T,B,S composite resins increased when pH value fell down to 4.0 (P0.05).Conclusion:The wear resistance among the different brands of composite resins are discrepant. The weight loss might be accelerated with the decreased pH value.

Objective To evaluate the application of microcirculation temperature regulator for patient receiving reversed digital artery island flap surgery comparing with conventional heat lamp. Methods 68 patients after reversed digital artery island flap surgery in department of foot and hand surgery were randomized to treatment group using microcirculation temperature regulator (n=34) and control group using heat lamp (n=34) by random number table. Flap survival, length of hospital stay and satisfaction were evaluated. Results 100.00%of 34 flaps survived in the treatment group, higher than 67.65%(23 flaps of 34) in the control group, statistical differences were observed between two groups (χ2=13.123,P<0.01). Average length of hospital stay in treatment group was (11.6 ± 5.9) days, shorter than (19.5 ± 8.1) days in control group (t=4.600,P<0.01). Patients satisfaction rate was 100.00% (34/34) in microcirculation temperature regulator application group, which was also higher compared to using heat lamp 76.47% (26/34) (χ2=12.851,P<0.01). Conclusions Application of microcirculation temperature regulator could increase flap survival, shorten length of hospital stay, and improve patients′satisfaction.

Objective To study the effect of the products of entermorpha (EP), chlorella growth factor (CGF) and entermorpha dietary fiber (EPDF) on defecation and blood lipid regulation. Method Based on the composition of EP products, the male ICR mice were intervened with EP, EPDF and CGF with three doses. Using the constipation model induced by compound diphenoxylate, the effect of EP products on enterocinesia function of mice was determined by measuring defecation and the percentage of ink-pushing in small intestine. High-lipid rat model was established by feading high fat diet and the intervention effect with three doses of EPDF and CGF for 6 w was observed. Results As compared to the model group, all doses of EP,both middle and high doses of EPDF,and high dose of CGF could shorten the time of first defecation and increase the percentage of ink-pushing in small intestine of costive mice (P

Objective To compare the molecular characteristics of hantanvirus strains isolated from 1980 to 2002 in Zhejiang Province by PCR and nucleotide sequencing. Methods Total RNA was extracted from hantanvirus infected Vero-E6 cells. The M segment cDNA of hantaan ZJ4 and ZJ7 strains were obtained by reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction, subsequently cloned into pUCm-T vector and sequencing. Results Two strains ZJ4 and ZJ7 of hantanvirus isolated from Rottus in Zhejiang province were HTN viruses. HTN virus strain Z10 was isolated in 1980. Comparison ZJ4 and ZJ7 with Z10 strains indicated that there were 88.3% and 92.3% homology at the nucleotide level. Conclusion The HTN virus were very conserved. The homology of HTN virus isolated from Zhejiang Province was high nucleotide level, though they were isolated at more than 20-year intervals.

Objective To analyze the clinical features and prognosis of hyperglycemia and the relationship between the blood glucose level and the severity of disease in critically ill children. Methods A total of 349 critically ill children admitted in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) from November 2009 to April 2010 were restrospectively analyzed.According to the levels of venous blood glucose within 24 h after admission, they were divided into very high level group (blood glucose ≥11.1 mmol/L,n =67 ),slightly high level group (blood glucose 6.3-11.1 mmol/L,n =134) and normal level group (blood glucose ≤6.3mmol/L,n =148).Blood glucose levels were measured within 24 hours,3 days and 7 days after admission.Electrolytes, inflammatory markers, cardiac enzymes, liver and kidney function as well as other biomarkers related to the severity and the prognosis of the patients were recorded after admission. The categorical variables were analyzed with Chi -squared test, the continuous variables were analyzed with t-test,F-test,U-test andH-test,and the correlation analysis was calculated by using Pearson Coefficients. Results In the very high level group, slightly high level group and normal level group, the average blood glucose levels were 16.98 ±7.08 mmol/L,8.25 ± 1.40 mmol/L and 4.89 ± 0.98 mmol/L ( P < 0.01 ),respectively;and the Pediatric Critical Ⅲ Scores at admission were 81.22 ± 8.25,86.71 ± 6.40 and 86.15 ± 6.99 ( P <0.01 ),respectively, and the incidences of sepsis or septic shock were 55.23%,30.59% and 14.18%,respectively (P <0.01 ),and the incidences of MODS were 46.26%,22.39% and 16.23%,respectively (P <0.01 ).The blood glucose levels of patients with one organ failure and two organ failure were 8.27 ± 3.75 mmol/L and 8.88 ± 5.42 mmol/L,respectively ( P < 0.05 ).The blood glucose levels of patients with two organ failure and multiple organ failure were 8.88 ± 5.42 mmol/L and 13.09 ± 8.23 mmol/L,respectively (P<0.01).The mortality rates of three groups were 47.76%,14.93% and 10.13% (P <0.01 ),and the blood glucose levels at admission in survival group and death group were 7.57 ±4.11 mmol/L and 12.46 ± 8.17 mmol/L ( P < 0.01 ).Conclusions Patients with hyperglycemia are often found in the PICU.It not only partially reflects the severity of the disease, but also serves as an important indicator for the prognosis. The blood glucose level is positively correlated to the number of compromised organs and the severity of the disease.Dynamic monitoring of blood glucose may be essential for controlling the symptoms and prediction of prognosis.

Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2009;31(7):456-459
Objective To explore possible mechanisms of the cross-over observed in stroke patients comple-ting a line bisection test. Methods Twenty-five stroke patients with left neglect and twenty normal subjects were studied. In the ordinary line bisection test, there are two papers presenting 20 mm and 100 mm lines respectively. On each paper, three lines with the same length are presented at the left, middle and right of the paper. In the line im-age test, the two papers are the same as in line bisection test, but here subjects are asked to set endpoints of each re-al line. Results Replicating earlier findings, length cross-over was observed in the patients with neglect. In the hline image test, those patients neglected lines on both sides but with a much larger proportion on the left. The patientsunderestimated long lines as in previous studies, but they also underestimated very short lines in contrast to earlier findings. Conclusion Foveal neglect sparing may explain these observations. For very short lines, the left end of the line falls into foveal vision and the left part of the line was not neglected. As a result, the crossover effect of line length occurs.
