2.Application of PCR derived technology for diagnosis of hematological disease
Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2009;32(1):6-9
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique for the diagnosis of hematological disease brought about revolutionary progress. It has become indispensable and basic technology for genotyping of acute and chronic leukemia and diagnosis of myeloproliferative disorders, thalassemia, hemophilia and other genetic diseases. Based on the PCR technology, multiple nested-PCR, real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (Q-PCR), denaturing high pressure liquid chromatography (DHPLC), capillary electrophoresis, the molecular hybridization and directly sequencing technique have been developed. The multip]e nested-PCR can be used to examine a variety of leukemia genes and confirm the type of leukemia. The application of Q-PCR has effectively solved the problem of pollution of the PCR and it can be used to monitor minimal residual disease of leukemia. Capillary electrophoresis is more suitable for gene fragment length change. DHPLC can be applied for high-throughput screening of gene mutation. Sequencing is a reliable method and it has been used for routine diagnosis.
3.Application of bone marrow cell immunophenotyping analysis in diagnosing and monitoring of multiple myeloma
Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2011;34(1):2-4
Immunophenotyping with flow cytometry can clearly identify multiple myeloma cells and monitor minimal residual disease by using the characteristic of light chain restriction in plasma cells and some cell surface markers( eg CD138, CD38, CD56, CD117 ). This technology may provide important evidence in the diagnosis of multiple myeloma.

5.Chronic myeloid leukemia BCR/ABL1 mutation clonal evolution and treatment strategies
Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2012;35(1):2-5
Application of imatinib has made a lot of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) patients longterm survival, but the CML BCR/ABL1 kinase domain mutations (KDM) will result in drug resistance of imatinib. There are many KDM types. The different types appear randomly. The leukemic clone with different KDM characteristics has a certain evolution. In the period of imatinib treatment,a higher degree of drug resistance mutations in cells likely to develop as the dominant clone. It is suggested that the treatment of imatinib-resistant CML in addition to efforts to develop next-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitors outside, but also consider the use of traditional medicine to help cure.
6.In vitro analysis of the effect of cyclic loading on the fracture resistance of teeth restored with different post and core systems.
West China Journal of Stomatology 2015;33(2):206-208
OBJECTIVEThis study aims to compare the fracture resistance of teeth restored with different post and core systems by cyclic loading test and to predict long-term effects.
METHODSA total of 15 recently extracted mandibular premolars without crowns were endodontically treated. The teeth were randomly divided into three groups with five teeth in each group. Group A, teeth restored with cast metal post and core. Group B, teeth with fiber post and resin core. Group C, teeth with resin filling. All of the teeth were restored with full-cast metal crowns. The specimens were exposed to 300,000 cyclic loadings in a cyclic loading machine and 1,000 thermal cycles between 5 and 55 °C. All of the samples were loaded in AG-IS mechanical testing machine with a compressive load until fracture occurred. The fracture load and the fracture mode of each tooth were recorded.
RESULTSThe fracture resistance in group B and C were higher than that of the cast metal post and core restoration (P < 0.05). Repairable fractures were observed in group B and C, whereas unrestorable and catastrophic fractures were found in group A.
CONCLUSIONFiber post and resin filling is a good choice to restore endodontically treated teeth.

7.Advances in the diagnosis and treatment of mantle cell lymphoma
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2016;43(19):835-839
Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a rare subtype of B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (NHLs). MCL comprises distinct subtypes with different pathological characteristics and clinical features. However, MCL remains incurable by intensified first-line regimens con-taining cytarabine and involving consolidation with high-dose therapy and autologous stem cell transplantation. Recently discovered somatic mutations and aberrant intracellular signaling pathways have been demonstrated to play an essential role in the pathogenesis of MCL. The related novel therapeutics, such as Btk inhibitors, PI3K inhibitors, and immune modulators, have exhibited promising ther-apeutic effects on untreated or even relapsed/refractory MCL. The development of an efficient combination therapy is urgently need-ed to improve the survival of MCL patients in the future.
8.Clinical study of endoscopic intratumor injection of recombinant human adenovirus p53 (rAd-p53) combined with esophageal stent implantation in the treatment of advanced esophageal cancer
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2015;22(4):518-520
Objective To compare the efficacy and incidence of complications of stenting alone and intratumoral injection of recombinant human adenovirus p53 combined with stent implantation in the treatment of advanced esophageal cancer patients. Methods 2 4 cases with advanced esophageal cancer, who could only eat semi liquid, liquid food or could not eat, were randomly divided into control group(A group) and treatment group (B group).12 cases in A group were treated with esophageal stent implantation,12 cases in B group were given endoscopic intratumor injection of recombinant human adenovirus p53 combined with food tract stent implantation. Results The rate of improvement of dysphasia had no significant difference in survival period:the treatment group survival time of 3.2-38 months, mean (27.0 ± 2.3) months, while the control group survival time of 2.8-27months,an average of (14.7 ± 8.0) months, the difference between the two groups was significant (t =3.521,P < 0.05).The incidence rate of restenosis in treatrnent group was 8.3%,that in control group was 41.7%.There was significant difference (x2 =7.532,P <0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic intratumor injection of recombinant human adenovirus p53 combined with esophageal stent implantation in the treatment of advanced esophageal carcinoma can prolong the survival time of patients with esophageal stent implantation, and to reduce the incidence of restenosis.
9.Description and mechanism of cognitive impairment post-HSCT
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2013;22(6):339-341
Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is a highly successful treatment for hematological malignancies, severe congenital immunodeficiencies and some other diseases.Approximate 50 % of the disease-free survival patients suffered from long-lasting severe cognitive impairment after allo-HSCT.Pathological evidences showed parenchymal lymphocytic inflammation, microglia activation, and mild cerebral angiitis-like changes in allogeneic transplanted animals and patients' autopsy.Pay much importance attention to the pathological changes of central nervous system and its impact on cognitive function and take suitable measures would help the patients to achieve a state of complete physical mental and social well-being.
