Objective To study the prevalence of anxiety and depression in the retired veterans of the armed force and its related factors.Methods Prevalence of anxiety and depression was studied in 836 veterans aged 60 or over retired from the armed force living in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province by physical checks-up and questionnaire. Data were analyzed with SPSS software in a microcomputer.Results Among 836 retired veterans investigated, 296 (35.4%) were in slight anxiety, 58 (6.9%) in moderate or severe anxiety, 336 (40.2%) in slight depression and 63 (7.5%) in moderate or severe depression, with those aged 60~64 and 75~79 years more liable to suffering. Background C57BL/6.NOD-Aec1Aec2 mouse is considered to be an idea model for the study of the pathogenesis of Sj(o)gren syndrome,but the cause of dry eye in these mice is unclear.Objective This study was to investigate the histopathological change of the ocular surfaces of C57BL/6.NOD-Aec1Aec2 mice,and to determine whether dry eye is developed spontaneously in these mice.Methods Forty-five clean C57BL/6.NOD-Aec1 Aec2 mice were used as the experiment group and forty-five C57BL/6J mice(both male and female)were used as the control group in this study.Detection of fasting blood-glucose,Schirmer' s test Ⅰ (S Ⅰ t),lissamine green staining and scoring of the corneal and conjunctival epithelium in the mice were performed at the age of 4,8,12,16 and 20weeks.Five mice from each group were sacrificed and their corneas were obtained to measure the central corneal epithelium thickness and to count the number of conjunctival goblet cells.In addition,lymphocyte infiltration in the lacrimal gland of the mice was examined with hematoxylin-eosin staining.The uhrastructure of the corneal epithelial cells and microvilli were assessed by scanning electron microscopy.The use and care of the mice were approved by the Experimental Animal Care Committee of the Third Military Medical University.Results No sign of dry eye was seen in both the 4-week-old C57BL/6.NOD-Aec1Aec2 mice and 4-week-old C57BL/6J mice.The S Ⅰ t values in 8-week-old,12-week-old,16-week-old and 20 week-old mice from the experiment group were (2.7 ±0.9) mm,(2.5 ±0.8) mm,(1.8±0.6) mm and (1.9± 0.1) mm,respectively,showing a significant reduction in comparison with those of the control mice of the same age(all P＜0.01).The amount of lissamine green staining in the C57BL/6.NOD-Aec1Aec2 mice gradually increased with age,showing elevated scores in 12-week-old,16-week-old and 20-week-old mice in the experiment group(all P＜0.01).The central corneal epithelium thicknesses were(20.18±3.75)μm,(17.01 ±5.25) μm,(14.19±5.72) μm and(12.00±3.25) μm in the 8-week-old,12-week-old,16-week-old and 20-week-old C57BL/6.NOD-Aec1Aec2 mice,respectively,which were significantly lower than those of the C57BL/6Jmice of the same age (all P＜0.01).The numbers of conjunctival goblet cells were (8.2±2.4),(6.2±2.1),(6.1 ±2.2) and (4.1 ± 2.0) in the 8-week-old,12-week-old,16-week-old and 20-week-old C57 BL/6.NOD-Aec 1Aec2 mice,respectively,showing a gradual decrease with age and a significant decline in comparison with those of the C57BL/6Jmice of the same age(all P＜0.01).Lymphocyte infiltration in the lacrimal gland and destruction of gland ducts were seen by hematoxylin-eosin staining,and acinar abnormality aggravated with aging.Reduction of corneal epithelial cells and the number of microvilli were distinguished with aging under the scanning electron microscope.The fasting bloodglucose levels of the two groups were both less than 6.0 mmol/L,and no significant difference was found between them at any age(P=0.637,0.610,0.163,0.086,0.938).Conclusions C57BL/6.NOD-Aec1Aec2 mice develop dry eye spontaneously with aging.The course of disease and characteristics of dry eye in C57BL/6.NOD-Aec1Aec2mice is similar to human dry eye.The C57BL/6NOD-Aec1 Aec2 mouse is the perfect model to study the pathogenesis of dry eye.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the penile erectile function of hospitalized male patients with cardiovascular diseases, the incidence of erectile dysfunction (ED) in this cohort, and the relationship of ED with cardiovascular diseases and its risk factors.

METHODSUsing a self-designed questionnaire, we conducted an investigation among the hospitalized patients in the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases of the First and Second Affiliated Hospitals of Xi'an Jiaotong University. We measured their body height, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, hip circumference, and blood pressure, obtained their personal data, past history, metabolic indexes, and erectile function scores by IIEF-5, and analyzed the risk factors of ED using univariate and multivariate logistic regression and OR analyses.

RESULTSTotally, 225 valid questionnaires were included in this investigation, which showed a 66.7% incidence of ED, 15.8% mild, 27.0% mild to moderate, 17.6% moderate, and 6.3% severe. The incident rates of ED in the 18-35 yr, 36-49 yr, 50-65 yr, and > 65 yr age groups were 13.6%, 39.1%, 89.2%, and 91.2%, respectively. Univariate logistic regression analysis manifested that the risk factors of ED in the patients with cardiovascular diseases included age (OR = 3.122, 95% CI 2.040-4.779), smoking (OR = 1.768, 95% CI 1.209-2.584), BMI (OR = 1.261, 95% CI 1.114-1.427), total cholesterol (OR = 1.77, 95% CI 1.339-2.340), TC/HDL (OR =1.715, 95% CI 1.349-2.181), hypertension (OR = 1.717, 95% CI 1.110-2.658), and coronary heart disease (OR = 2.235, 95% CI 1.169-4.275), while multivariate logistic regression analysis showed the risk factors to be age (OR = 4.99, 95% CI 2.264-10.998), financial condition, (OR = 2.804, 95% CI 1.127-6.976), smoking (OR = 2.109, 95% CI 1.179-3.772), BMI (OR = 1.414, 95% CI 1.136-1.760), and TC/HDL (OR = 2.001, 95% CI 1.016-3.943).

CONCLUSIONThe incidence of ED is high in hospitalized patients with cardiovascular diseases and rises with the increase of age. Age, smoking, financial condition, BMI, and TC/HDL are the risk factors of both ED and cardiovascular diseases, and financial condition is closely associated with ED.

Objective To access the relation between the Doppler waveform of the hepatic venous flow and the hepatic fibrosis.Methods To construct fibrosis models,20 experimental rabbits were fed with thioacetamide as the only drinking water at the concentration of 1.2 g/L,then the Doppler waveforms of the hepatic vein were detected at the time before constructing the fibrosis model,then later the 8th week,12th week and 16th week during constructing the fibrosis models,the results were compared with the hepatic biopsy ones.Results With the process of constructing the fibrosis models,the experimental rabbits had more abnormal Doppler waveforms of the hepatic venous flow.Conclusions The changes of the Doppler waveforms of the hepatic venous flow reflect the change of hepatic parenchyma.

Objective On the basis of the lasted clinical experience,our group will discuss the treatmented mechanism of Chinese herb kang-xian-er-hao(KXEH) ameliorate hepatic cirrhosis. Methods Male wistar rats were divided into five groups,excepted for normal group N,the remnant four groups were all given intraperitoneal injection of porcine serum((0.5) ml/time,2 times/week,total 12 weeks).In KXEH early treatment group B,the rats were fed with KXEH by gavage,1 g/100 g,once a day at the third week.In KXRH late treatment group C,the rats were fed with KXEH by gavage,1 g/100 g,once a day at the ninth week.In ?-interferon treated group D the rats were subcutaneous injection ?-interferon((0.1) million) every day at the ninth week.The model group A and normal group N were fed with the same amount of saline by gavage.The rats were killed at the end of the twelfth weeks,the formation of liver fibrosis was observed with HE stain and Masson stain.The expression of Smooth muscle actin(SMA) was observed by immunohistochemistry.As well as SMA,collagen Ⅰ、Ⅲ mRNA and Smad3 mRNA,which is TGF-?1 downstream signal,were detected in liver samples with RT-PCR assay. Results In KXEH treated group B and C,the body weight was heavier,the size of liver and spleen was smaller and the ratio of liver weight/body weight and spleen weight/body weight was decreased compared with the model group A(P

[Objective]To discuss the efficacy of medial wedged proximal tibial osteotomy for treating genu varus deformity.[Methods]From July 1998 to October 2007,49 patients with genu varus deformity were treated by medial wedged proximal tibial osteotomy combined with internal fixation.Full-length anterior-posterior radiographs were taken preoperatively at 8 weeks and 1.5 years postoperatively.The parameters including the femorotibial angle and the medial joint space were measured on the radiographs.The pre-and postoperative function of knee were evaluated according to the HSS score system of the knee.[Results]All the 49 patients were followed up from 18 to 128 months.The mean postoperative femorotibial angle decreaced from 187.5??5.3? to 172.6??3.6?.The mean postoperative HSS score significantly improved from 83.2?15.3 to 47.2?17.6 points after 1.5 years of operation.The medial joint space increased from(2.4?1.2) mm to(4.3?1.2) mm.There were complications in 5 cases: 3 cases of intra-articular fracture during operation and 2 of postoperative superficial wound infections.There were no delayed union,no recurrence of varus deformity,and no blood vessels or nerves injury in all cases.The pain relieved and walking function improved significantly postoperativly.[Conclusion]Medial wedged proximal tibial osteotomy combined with internal fixation is an effect approach to treat genu varus deformity.

Objective To investigate the effect of external treatment with traditional Chinese medicine on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR)and summarize nursing key points. Methods One hundred and twenty CSR patients with cervical shoulder pain and upper limb radioactive pain were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group in equal number.The treatment group were managed with external treatment with traditional Chinese medicine and the control group with conventional treatments. The curative effects were compared between the two groups 15 d after treatment. Results The treatment group achieved significantly better curative effect than the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The external treatment with traditional Chinese medicine may effectively relieve cervical shoulder pains and radioactive pains in upper limbs induced by cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.

Objective To study the expressions of CD24 and SLeX in lung cancer tissues,and evaluate the relation ship with development and progression of lung cancer.Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expressions of CD24 and SLeX in 70 specimens of lung cancer.Results The positive expression rates of CD24,SLeX in non-small cell lung cancer tissues were 41.3% and 63.5% respectively,There were no expression and weak expression respectively in small cell lung cancer (SCLC) tissues. The positive rates of CD24,SLeX in adenocarcinoma were 55.9% and 76.5%,respectively,which were higher than those in squamous cell carcinoma (24.1%,48.3%)(P0.05).In lung adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma,the positive expression rate of SLeX in stage Ⅲ (83.3%) was higher than that in stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ (55.6%),the positive rate in poor differentiated lung cancer(80.8%) was higher than those in moderate and well differentiate cancer(51.4%),the positive rate in female patients (76.7%) was higher than that in male patients (51.5%)(all P

Objective To investigate the changes of drug resistance related genes and drug resistance of Acinetobacter Bau-mannii in hospital,and provide evidence for rational use of antibiotics in clinic.Methods A retrospective analysis of Shaanxi Corps Hospital of Chinese Peoples’s Armed Police Forces from 2011 to 2015 from clinical samples of 11 521 specimens were isolated and cultured 1 861 strains of Acinetobacter Baumannii,drug susceptibility test by K-B method.The antimicrobial minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC)according to the 2014 edition of the CLSI judgment criteria of judgment.Results 1 861 strains of Acinetobacter Baumannii were detected drug resistance genes gyrA,parC,OXA-51,OXA-23,int on the 1,I TEM,AAC (6’)-1,AAC (3’)-1,ant (3)-1,ant (2)-1 and Caro gene detection rates were 50.4%,72.1%,70.9%,55.7%, 56.2%,65.6%,12.9% and 89.9% respectively,and SHV,IMP and VIM genes were not detected.The sequencing results showed that gyrA and parC gene mutation was the main cause of quinolone resistance.The antibiotic resistance of Acineto-bacterBaumannii was an increasing trend year by year,and 1 861 strains has 1 419 strains showed multiple drug resistance, all strains were sensitive to polymyxin.In 2015,quinolones aminoglycosides resistance rate was more than 65%.To imipen-em,meropenem and Cefoperazone/sulbactam were 35.17%,36.01% and 42.40%.Conclusion The detection rate of Acine-tobacter Baumannii is increasing year by year,and the drug resistance and multi drug resistance is increasing year by year.It is necessary to strengthen the clinical rational drug use andcontrol the hospital infection.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness and security of Yishen huashi granules in the adjuvant treatment of chronic nephritis systematically,and to provide evidenced-based reference. METHODS:Retrieved from CBM,CJFD,Wanfang database,VIP,Medline,PubMed,EMBase and Cochrane library,randomized controlled trials(RCTs)about Yishen huashi gran-ules in the treatment of chronic nephritis were collected and related magazines were retrieved by hand. After selection and data ex-traction by 2 researchers independently,the quality of included literature was evaluated according to Jadad rating scale,and Me-ta-analysis was conducted by using Rev Man 5.3.5 software. RESULTS:A total of 8 RCTs were included,involving 1028 patients. Total response rate of trial group [RR=1.33,95%CI(1.24,1.42),P<0.001] was significantly higher than that of control group. 24 h urine protein quantity [MD=-0.32,95%CI(-0.40,-0.24),P<0.001],serum creatinine [MD=-22.38,95%CI(-23.37,-21.39),P<0.001],blood urea nitrogen [MD=-1.45,95%CI(-2.05,-0.84),P<0.001] were significantly lower than control group,with statistical significance. CONCLUSIONS:Based on routine treatment,Yishen huashi granules have good therapeutic ef-ficacy for chronic nephritis,can reduce 24 h urine protein and improve renal function.
