4.Mechanism of radiofrequency ablation in treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma
Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2017;33(2):359-363
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a malignant tumor with high incidence and mortality rates around the world.Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is an effective therapy for HCC,especially in patients who experience recurrence after surgery for liver cancer, who are complicated by liver dysfunction and unable to undergo surgical resection, and who have multiple liver tumors and undergo palliative treatment.RFA can significantly improve patients' survival time and quality of life. This article reviews the mechanism of RFA in the treatment of HCC from the aspects of direct and indirect injuries and helps to further understand the role of RFA in local and systemic treatment of HCC,which has a potential value for multidisciplinary treatment of HCC in future.
5.Progress of biological characteristics and clinical signifiance of common heart failure markers
Clinical Medicine of China 2017;33(6):539-543
Heart failure is a serious and terminal stage of various cardiovascular diseases,is one of the most important heart diseases, and it also the most common reason for hospitalization. In recent years, studies on new markers in the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of heart failure have made great progress, such as B-type brain natriuretic peptide can partially reflect hemodynamic imbalance, troponin can indicate cardiomyocyte injury, soluble ST2 and galectin-3 indicate myocardium remodeling and fibrosis,C-reactive protein, cystatin C and procalcitonin, and copeptin have significant prognostic value for outcomes, microRNA in the regulation of gene expression influence heart failure.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2009;13(11):2187-2190
BACKGROUND: Pathological changes of form and structure are induced in some tissues during repairing albuginea penis trauma, while structure and component of collagen fiber will be correspondingly changed necessarily.OBJECTIVE: To find a convenient, shortcut, and sensitive method to observe the dynamic change of type and distribution of collagen fiber during albuginea penis healing. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A contrast study was performed at the Laboratory of Tissue Engineering, Guiyang Medical College between June 2005 and October 2007. MATERIALS: Fifteen male New Zealand rabbits were used in this study. METHODS: All rabbits underwent an excision of albuginea sizing 5 mm×5 mm at dorsal penis to establish models of albuginea penis trauma, and then the excision was sutured in situ. Thereafter, albuginea penis was obtained from five rabbits once after 2, 6, and 12 weeks. The samples were treated with picric-sirius red staining and observed under polarizing microscope. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Dynamic changes of area of collagen fiber during albuginea penis healing.RESULTS: There were significant differences in content of the same collagen fiber at different time points (P<0.05). At 2 weeks post-trauma, both type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen fibers were observed, and the ratio was equal, but the arrangement was confused and disorder. At 6 weeks post-trauma, red and yellow type Ⅰ collagen fiber was apparently increased, but type Ⅲ collagen fiber was decreased, and the arrangement was still disorder. At 12 weeks post-trauma, thick, bright red and yellow type Ⅰ collagen fiber was rapidly increased, but thin and green type Ⅲ collagen fiber was rapidly decreased.CONCLUSION: Picric-sirius red polarized light method can not only differentiate types of collagen fiber, but also clearly display the distribution, form and proportion of type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen fiber, characterizing by simple, convenient, specific, and highly sensitive.
8.Therapeutic observation on superficial needling with different frequencies for intractable facial paralysis
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2019;17(6):432-437
Objective:To obverse the therapeutic effect of superficial needling with different frequencies for intractable facial paralysis. Methods: A total of 120 patients with intractable peripheral facial paralysis were allocated into a superficial needling with high frequency group (150 times/min), a moderate frequency group (100 times/min) and a low frequency group (50 times/min) according to the random number table method. The Toronto facial grading system (TFGS) was used to evaluate facial nerve functions before treatment and after 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment respectively. The electromyography (EMG) test of the mandibular branch of facial nerve was used to compare the motor nerve conduction velocity (MCV), sensory nerve conduction velocity (SCV) and monophasic action potential (MAP) among different groups, and was done before treatment and after 4 weeks of treatment. The clinical efficacy was also compared. Results: After 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment, the changes of TFGS scores in the three groups all showed statistical significance (all P<0.05), and the TFGS score in the low frequency group was substantially higher than that in the other two groups. After treatment, the changes of the MCV and SCV in the three groups all showed statistical significance (all P<0.05), and the results in the low frequency group were higher than those in the other two groups; the change of MAP in the three groups showed no statistical significance (P>0.05). The total effective rate was 65.0%, 80.0% and 95.0% in the high frequency group, moderate frequency group and low frequency group respectively, and the between-group differences showed statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion: Compared with the superficial needling with high and moderate frequencies, superficial needling with low frequency can produce more significant clinical efficacy for intractable facial paralysis.
9.Development of regulation strategy questionnaire of sea-going seafarers' negative emotion
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2013;(3):274-276
Objective To study the negative emotion regulation of sea-going seafarers, establish a regulation strategy questionnaire of sea-going seafarers' negative emotion and examine its reliability and validity. Methods Based on open-ended questionnaires and previous researches, the initial questionnaire was obtained.Randomly selected 188 sea-going seafarers,by adopting program analysis and factor analysis, the final questionnaire was determined.Tested 121 sea-going seafarers by using the final questionnaire, while 55 of them by using coping style questionnaire at the same time. After two weeks,47 of them were tested by final questionnaire again. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire were investigated during the research, and the criterion validity between the coping style questionnaire and regulation strategy questionnaire of sea-going seafarers' negative emotion was also studied. Results The factor analysis results showed that the questionnaire was composed of seeking for support, abreaction, inobservance, transfer and oppression.Cronbach α of each factors was 0.857,0.841,0.825,0.806,0.754 respectively;and Cronbach o of the entire questionnaire was 0.873.The split-half correlation coefficients were 0.697,-0.839 (P < 0.01) ; test-retest reliability coefficients were 0.706,-0.822 (P < 0.01).The correlation between subscales were-0.031,-0.459 ; and the correlation between subscales and total scale were 0.590,-0.806 (P < 0.01).Criterion validity showed that despite for the abreaction, each factor was significantly correlated with the factors of coping style questionnaire. Conclusion The sea-going seafarers' negative emotion regulation strategy questionnaire has acceptable psychometrics properties on reliability and validity.

Journal of International Oncology 2014;41(3):165-168
The microRNA let-7 family, functioning as a tumor suppressor, has emerged as a regulator of stem cell differentiation and tumor repression. The RNA-binding protein lin28 is a stem cell pluripotency factor, which contributes to the maintenance of stem cell characteristics and promoting cell malignant transformation.lin28 can block the maturity of let-7 by combining with the precursors of let-7 family miRNAs,which is itself able to repress lin28 by binding to the 3'-UTR of lin28 transcripts, thus forming a feedback loop. The double-negative feedback loop comprising lin28 and let-7 is involved in several biological processes such as differentiation of stem cell, tumorigenesis, invasion and metastasis, drug resistance and relapse, which couldbe a potential target for cancer therapy.
