Thyroid cancer is the most common malignancy in the endocrine system .In recent years ,the incidence of thyroid cancer has increased year by year ,which sparked people′s attention.With the development of thyroid cancer research ,it is found that cytokines play a key role in the occurrence and development of tumor .At present ,the cause of thyroid carcinoma and mechanism is not yet entirely clear ,however ,the occurrence of thyroid cancer is possiblely associated with the body regulating cellular immune dysfunction .Cytokines play an important role in the whole process ,in which the relationship between cytokines IFN -γ,IL-6 and thyroid carcinoma is closely related .

Objective To establish a HPLC method for the determination of strychnine content in Cidan Capsules. Methods Using Hypersil- C18 as the column and 1 % Acetic acid-acetonitrile (88 ∶ 12) as the mobile phase, HPLC was performed. The detection wavelength was 254 nm. Results The linear range was 0.112～ 0.560 ? g(r=0.999 9). The average recovery rate was 97.36 % , RSD was 1.00 % ( n=5) . Conclusion This method is accurate and specific.

Objective To investigate the effect of hindlimb unloaded 3 weeks on bone mineral density of different parts in simulated weightlessness rats,and the effect of Chinese herbal prescriptions on them.Methods 2-month-old male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:control group(CON),hindlimb unloading group(HU),HU+Chinese herbal prescription group(HUC).During the whole experiment(4 weeks),HUC were given Chinese herbal prescriptions(contains Radix Acanthopanacis Senticosl,Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata,Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae,Concha Ostreae,etc),while CON and HU were given equal measures Concha Ostreae prepared by acetic acid.After 1 week of adaption period,weightlessness was simulated by tail suspension in HU and HUC for three weeks.Rats were executed at the end of the fourth week and bone mineral density of 7 differernt parts were determined.BMD of skull bone and second thoracic vertebra were examined by buoyancy method,and fourth lumbar vertebra,humerus,femur,radio-ulna and tibia were examined by bone densitometer.Results Compared with CON,BMD of skull of HU increased significantly(P 0.05),but BMD of lumbar vertebra,femur and tibia were decreased notably(P 0.05).Conclusions The change of hindlimb unloaded 3 weeks on systemic BMD presented certain trend.BMD of skull bone increased,little change on upper limbs and second thoracic vertebra,and fourth lumbar vertebra and hind limbs reduced.Chinese herbal prescriptions had the function to relieve weightlessness osteoporosis,and had positive effect on calcium distribution with weightlessness.

Objective To observe the clinical disinfection effect of root canal with non-filling medication.Methods 50 patients who required root canal therapy for apical period(acute or chronic) or pulp necrosis were involved in the study.Non-filling medication on the root canals were taken bacteria from the root canals were collected and cultured before and after the treatment.Results Bacteria were detected in every specimen,which were mixture of aerobes and anaerobes.One week later,only two strain were detected in two specimen.Conclusion Non-filling medication can be used as an effective disinfection to sterilize root canal.

Objective To investigate the effects of arteriovenous fistula on structure and function of left ventricle in patients with maintained hemodialysis. Methods Levels of hemoglobin, inter-hemodialysis weight increase, blood pressure, diameter and blood flow of the fistula, structure and function of left ventricle were examined before and 12, 24 months after hemodialysis treatment in 44 patients who were divided into group A(low flow group, 900 ml/min) based on the fistula flow at the 24th month. Results Left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVDd), interventriculare septal thickness (IVST) and left ventricular mass index (LVMI) increased gradually as the time of hemodialysis going on. The cardio-cheat proportion also increased as well as ejection fraction (EF) and the peak velocity ratio of early and late diastolic period(E/A), especially significantly increased in group B. Cardio-chest proportion , LVDd and LVMI were higher and E/A lower in patients with severe sodium retention than those with mild sodium retention in both groups. Objective To investigate the survival rates of main malignant tumors in Nanhui district. Methods Total 5 783 cases, registered as new cases with malignant neoplasm from 2002 to 2004 in Nanhui, were followed up. Data was studied by survival analysis with SPSS 13.0 of life table and Kaplan -Meier. Results The average annual crude incidence of malignant tumors was 267.57 / 100 000, the World standardized incidence rate of 209.98 / 100 000. Cancer Incidence in the top five ranks followed by lung, liver, stomach, colon and esophageal cancer, the incidence was 43.06 / 100 000, 28.65 / 100 000, 26.82 / 100 000, 18.63 / 100 000 and 9.57 / 100 000, respectively. The difference of the survival rates between the top five cancers was remarkable. Survival rates of cancers among males from the lowest to the highest were liver, lung, esophagus, stomach and intestines. Survival rates of cancers among females from the lowest to the highest were of liver, lung, esophagus, stomach, intestines, cervical and breast. The male or female main cancer's relative survival rate droped along with the age rising. Conclusion The survival status was better in the patients with intestine cancers and female patients with breast cancer, but worse in patients with liver, ung and esophageal cancer.

Objective To study the expression of neural cell adhesion molecule CD 56 in the human lung cancer and its pathological significance. Methods 59 paraffin imbedded specimens of lung cancers were collected and human small cell lung cancer H128 cell line was cultured.The CD 56 expression in the lung cancer tissues and H128 cells was detected by immunohistochemical method. Results The expression of CD 56 was positive in 35 of 43 NSLC specimens, and the other specimens showed weakly positive staining. All 19 cases of the SCLC specimens showed CD 56 positive staining, 12 specimens of which were strongly positive. There was a significant difference in CD 56 expression between the SCLC and NSCLC. CD 56 was extensively expressed in H128 cells. Conclusion CD 56 might be an ideal tumour marker for SCLC.
