1.Research progress on the relationship between non-Hodgkin 's lymphoma and hepatitis B virus infection
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2012;21(9):561-563
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is global distribution,and HBV has hepatotropic and lymphotropic characteristics.The incidence and mortality of non-Hodgkin' s lymphoma (NHL) are steadily increasing in the world.The survey research shows that the prevalence of positivity for HBV surface antigen in patients with NHL is significantly higher than healthy people,at the same time,higher than patients with solid tumors,in addition to primary liver cancer,such as lung cancer,gastrointestinal tumors and breast cancer,etc.Chronic HBV infection individuals increase risk of development of NHL.But the exact relationship between them is not clear,it will be reviewed in this paper.

Objective:To observe the effect of Xinmailong injection (XI) on free calcium ( Ca2+) content in rat myocardial cells. Methods:Free Ca2+content in rats treated with various dosages of XI were measured by fluorospectrophotometry. Results:Xinmailong injection significantly increased free Ca2+content and the content was 169.18?11.64, 233.26?10.69 and 164.25?10.34 nmol?L-1 in 0.19 g?L-1 , 0.38 g?L-1 and 0.76 g?L-1 XI group respectively, the differences being significant as compared with 120.64?3.02 nmol?L-1 in the control group (P

China Biotechnology 2006;0(12):-
MicroRNAs(miRNAs) are endogenous non-coding RNAs,about 20 nucleotides in length.They play a pivotal role in the regulation of genes involved in diverse biology processes such as cell development,proliferation,differentiation and apoptosis by the translation repression or mRNA degradation.Recent evidence has suggested that miRNA alterations are involved in the initiation and progression of various human cancer including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),and miRNA-expression profiling of HCC has identified signatures associated with diagnosis,staging,progression and prognosis.As a novel molecular target,miRNAs holds great promise in diagnosis and biotherapy of HCC.
5.Circulating RNA and miRNA in Blood:Potential Applications as Tumor Markers
Peng QI ; Chun-Fang GAO ;
China Biotechnology 2006;0(11):-
Circulating nucleic acids (CNAs) are extracellular nucleic acids found in cell-free serum,plasma and other body fluids from healthy subjects as well as in patients. The ability to detect and quantitate specific DNA and RNA sequences has opened up the possibility of diagnosis and monitoring of diseases,especially in the field of cancer. Furthermore,in some recent studies it has been suggested a kind of non-coding RNA-microRNA (miRNA),also exist in cell-free serum and plasma,highlighting the field of using CNAs to diagnose cancer. As a novel tumor marker,tumor-specific circulating miRNAs holds great promise in early diagnosis of cancer.

Objective: to observe the protective effect of Swertia Punicea on experimental hepatic injury induced by CCl4 and BCG/LPS respectively. Methods: Mouse models of hepatic injury were induced by CCl4 and BCG/LPS. Serum levels of ALT and AST, MDA content and the pathological changes of hepatic tissue were observed. Results: Swertia Punicea obviously inhibited the rising levels of serum ALT and AST, improved the histological features and relieved hepatic edema induced by CCl4 in mice. However, it has no obvious action on the rising levels of ALT and AST induced by BCG/LPS. It also reduced MDA content and decreased the hepatic index and the splenic index. Conclusion: Swertia Punicea has antioxidation and a protective action on the chemical and immunological hepatic injury, especially on the chemical hepatic injury.

Objective To observe the protective effect of Swertia Punicea Hemsl. on mice chronic hepatic injury induced by CCI_4. Methods Serum levels of ALT, AST and total protein were measured and the liver index, spleen index as well as hepatic pathological changes were also observed. Results Swertia Punicea Hemsl. obviously decreased the levels of serum ALT and AST(P

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2010;44(7):747-752
Objective To evaluate the accuracy of chemical shift imaging (CSI) and MR spectroscopy (MRS) for fat quantification in phantom model. Methods Eleven phantoms were made according to the volume percentage of fat ranging from 0 to 100% with an interval of 10% . The fat concentration in the phantoms were measured respectively by CSI and MRS and compared using one-sample t test The correlation between the two methods was also analyzed. The concentration of saturated fatty acids ( FS), unsaturated fatty acids (FU) and the polyunsaturation degree (PUD) were calculated by using MRS. Results The fat concentration was (48.0 ±1.0)%, (57.0 ±0.5)%, (67.3±0.6)%, (77.3 ±0.6)%, (83.3±0.6)% and (91.0±1.0)% respectively with fat volume of 50% to 100% by CSI. The fat concentration was (8.3 ±0.6)%, (16.3 ±0.7)%, (27.7 ±0.6)%, (36.0 ±1.0)%, (43.5±0. 6)% and (56. 5 ±1. 0)% respectively with fat volume of 10% to 60% by MRS, the fat concentration were underestimated by CSI and MRS (P < 0.05 ), and had high linear correlation with the real concentration in phantoms ( CSI: r = 0. 998, MRS: r = 0.996, P < 0.01 ) . There was also a linear correlation between two methods (r = 0. 992, P < 0. 01 ) but no statistically significant difference ( pairedsamples t test, t = -0. 125 ,P = 0.903). By using MRS, the relative ratio of FS and FU in fat were 0. 15and 0. 85, the PUD was 0. 0325, respectively, and highly consistent with these in phantoms. Conclusion Both CSI and MRS are efficient and accurate methods in fat quantification at 7.0 T MR.
