Equisetin (EQST) belongs to polyketide (PKS)-nonribosomal peptide synthetase (NRPS) type compound with an inhibitory effect of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 1 (11β-HSD1) enzyme activity. This study investigated anti-obesity effect and insulin resistance improvement effect of EQST on high-fat diet (HFD)-induced ob/ob mice model. EQST treatment effectively reduced the body weight gain, fat weight gain and blood lipid content of model mice. All animal experiments were approved by the Medical Ethics Committee of Capital Institute of Pediatrics. EQST alleviated adipose tissue expansion and hepatic ballooning degeneration of model mice, and also effectively controlled the blood glucose content after glucose load and insulin load, showed a significant improvement in obesity and insulin resistance. EQST inhibited adipogenic proteins fatty acid-binding protein 4 (FABP4) and peroxisome proliferators-activated receptor γ (PPARγ), and upregulated thermogenic protein (uncoupling protein 1, UCP1) through suppressing 11β-HSD1 protein expression. In addition, EQST widely upregulates mitochondrial respiratory metabolism related proteins in adipose tissue and may improve insulin resistance through phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K) pathway. Therefore, EQST plays an anti-obesity role by promoting adipose tissue thermogenesis and improving insulin resistance, which may provide reliable clues for improving obesity and diabetes.

Objective:To explore the nursing efficacy of 321 health education model on maintenance hemodialysis patients with itchy skin.Methods:A total of 97 cases of maintenance hemodialysis patients with itchy skin from January 2019 to December 2019 in the Central Hospital of Panzhihua were divided into control group of 49 cases and study group of 48 cases by table of random number. The patients in control group were taken with conventional nursing and health propaganda measures while the patients in study group accepted a different nursing mode of combining 321 health education model. The Chinese version of the Four-Item Itch Questionnaire (FIIQ), the Chinese version of the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI), and the Chinese version of the Kidney Disease Questionnaire (KDQ) were used to evaluate the skin itchy status and its influences to patients′ life and life quality of the 2 groups before and after intervention.Results:There was no significant difference in the skin itchy status and its influences to patients′ life and life quality before intervention between the two groups( P>0.05). After intervention, the total score of FIIQ, and the scores of the three dimensions of itchy degree, itchy frequency, and influences on sleep were respectively (7.46 ± 0.94), (1.83 ± 0.26), (1.92 ± 0.29), (1.86 ± 0.23), which were all lower than the same data of the control group patients: (12.36 ± 1.24), (2.69 ± 0.31), (3.02 ± 0.42), (2.91 ± 0.37), showing differences with statistical significance ( t values were 14.79-21.90, P<0.05). After intervention, the total score of the DLQI, and the scores of five dimensions of symptom perception, daily life, entertainment and leisure, work and study, and treatment of the patients in study group were respectively (10.55 ± 1.27), (2.85 ± 0.29), (2.11 ± 0.32), (2.47 ± 0.29), (1.72 ± 0.25), and (2.21 ± 0.27), which were all lower than the same data of patients in control group: (14.47 ± 1.78), (3.92 ± 0.37), (1.57 ± 0.22), (1.64 ± 0.25), (1.26 ± 0.18), (1.21 ± 0.11), indicating statistically significant difference ( t values were 9.67-23.80, P<0.05). After intervention, the total score of KDQ and the scores of the four dimensions of physical symptoms, fatigue, depression, and frustration of the patients in study group were respectively (121.66 ± 15.91), (27.36 ± 3.02), (24.44 ± 3.44), (26.71 ± 3.58), and (19.28 ± 2.66), which were all higher than the same data of patients in control group: (108.38 ± 14.69), (24.51 ± 2.64), (22.60 ± 3.41), (22.45 ± 3.47), (14.92 ± 2.04), presenting differences with statistical significance ( t values were -9.07 - -2.65, P<0.05). Conclusions:For maintenance hemodialysis patients with itchy skin, the nursing intervention by 321 health education model can effectively ease the itchy skin problem, relieve the impact of itchy skin on patients' lives, and improve the life quality of patients.

Objective To explore the value of urinary albumin/creatinine ratio (ACR) in coronary heart disease(CHD) compli-cating thyroid dysfunction and its correlation with the various detection indicators of thyroid function.Methods The results of uri-nary ACR and thyroid function detection in 863 patients with CHD in our hospital from November 2015 to August 2016 were col-lected.According to the standards of American National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and Food and Drug Administration(FDA) ,863 CHD patients were divided into the group A (ACR≤10.0 mg/g · Cr) ,B(10.0 mg/g · Cr< ACR≤30.0 mg/g · Cr) ,C (30.0 mg/g · Cr300 mg/g · Cr).According to the reference values of thyroid functional indica-tors ,these patients were divided into the thyroid function normal and abnormal groups.Results The ACR level was negatively cor-related with the FT3 level in 863 CHD patients(r= -0.297 ,P<0.05) ,and was positively related with the FT 4 level(r=0.172 , P<0.05).The abnormal rate of thyroid function had significantly statistical difference among four groups (χ2 =33.533 ,P<0.05). The abnormal rate of thyroid function had significantly statistical difference between the patients with ACR >10.0 mg/g · Cr and the patients with ACR ≤ 10.0 mg/g · Cr ,the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05) ,its risk degree was 2.083. Conclusion ACR is likely to be a risk factor for CHD patients complicated with thyroid dysfunction.It is necessary to monitor the thyroid function when ACR level >10.0 mg/g · Cr in CHD patients.

Objective To investigate the CT and MRI findings of trigeminal nerve tumors and relative anatomic characteristics.Methods CT and MRI findings in 17 cases of trigeminal neuroma proved surgically and pathologically were analysed.Results Of 17 cases,the tumors located in middle and posterior carnial fossa in 8 cases and 5 cases respectively,these tumors appeared as oval or lobulated structure.The tumors localized in transcranial fossa in 4 cases with dumbbell or irregular shape.CT and MRI findings were as following:(1)Higher density of tumors in 3,low density in 4,the same density with adjacent graymatter in 2 and cystic low density in 4;(2)Homogeneous and inhomogeneous low signal intensity on T_1WI in 5 and 7 respectively,homogeneous and inhomogeneous high signal intensity on T_2WI in 4 and 8 respectively;(3)Inhomogeneous and homogeneous enhancement in 10 and 7 cases respectively on CT and MRI contrast-enhanced scan;(4)The tumors grew along trigeminal nerve and across the cranial fossa with dumbbel appearance in 4,the root of trigeminal nerve were thickened and connected with the tumors body in 3,enlargement of Meckel's cave in 6;(5) The erosion of petrous bone in 3 cases clear boundary of tumors and without calcificaton or adjacent edema in 15 cases.Conclusion CT and MRI are reliable methods in diagnosing trigeminal neuroma.

Objective To know the distribution of arsenic and trace elements in drinking water in the endemic arsenism areas in Shanyin County, Shanxi Province. Methods Drinking water samples were collected from the chronic endemic arsenic poisoning areas of Silizhuang and Shanghexi, Shanyin County, Shanxi Province and HPLC-HG-AFS system was used to analyze the arsenic contents, valence and speciation. The trace elements were determined by ICP-MS. The data were analyzed by SPSS13.0 for windows. Results A total of 63 drinking water samples were determined, 39.68% of them exceeded the standard limit of arsenic level, inorganic arsenic was the main arsenical in drinking water, iAs3+/(iAs3++iAs5+) ratio was 56.17% in the water sample (arsenic was higher than 50 ?g/L) . The contents of Fe, Mn, Hg, Se and Pb in part of drinking water samples exceed the standard limits. No significant difference was seen between the arsenic results determined by HPLC-HG-AFS and ICP-MS. Conclusion Arsenic contamination of drinking water in Shanyin County, Shanxi Province is severe. The most frequently seen arsenic valence state in drinking water is iAs3+. Some trace elements in part of drinking water samples exceed the standard limits, this may aggravate arsenic poisoning.

Objective To study the state of oxidative stress induced by sodium arsenite (NaAsO2) in SV-HUC-1 cell. Methods MTT assay was used to evaluate the viability of the cells. The level of ROS was detected by staining cells with DCFH-DA. The content of GSH and MDA were measured by DTNB and thiobarbituric acid methods. The activity of SOD was measured by xanthine oxidase method. [Objective]In order to dynamically observe the ossification process by living small animal Micro-CT in a rat femur distraction osteogenesis (DO) model,the author applied a special designed external fixiator system. [Methods]A femur DO model was made on 12 SD rats.After 7 days of latency,the femurs were distracted at a speed of 0.25 mm every 12 hours for 14 days.At the first day of consolidation period,the steel external fixiators were substituted by radio-transparent polymer splint material made fixiators.At 7 and 21 days of consolidation period,two randomly selected rats were sacrificed for histological examination.The other 8 rats were selected for X-ray and living Micro-CT examination at 0,7,21,35 days of consolidation period.All animals were sacrificed at 35 days of consolidation period,5 for biomechanical test,3 for histological examination.[Results]There was no significant new bone formed in distracted zone at latency and distraction periods.The volume of distracted zone increased little in the following 5 weeks of consolidation period.Bone volume,bone mineral content,bone volume fraction,and the number of trabeculae all increased over the consolidation period,while mineral content of mineralized tissue and thickness of traleculae did not increased until 3 weeks after consolidation began.At final observation (56 days post operation),there still exist un-mineralized cartilage tissues in the central of distracted zone,and the distracted femurs had lower biomechanical property when compared with corresponding normal femurs.[Conclusion]1) Radio-transparent polymer splint is a satisfactory substitute of steel external fixator.2) Micro-CT is a useful tool for dynamical observing and evaluating bone formation status in DO model.3) The increasing of bone volume began at the end of distraction,lasting at least 5 weeks,while the remodeling of new formed bone began 3 weeks after distraction ended.The increasing and remodeling of new formed bone was not concord.This result indicates that,in order to obtain proper results,the corresponding interference should be taken at different time points.

The formation of malignant ascites is concerned with non-obstructive factors including immunity regulator(IL-2,TNF,IFN-?)and factors of inducing blood vessel penetrability(VEGF,MMP) besides obstructive factors. Intraperitoneal chemotherapy makes drug directly act on peritoneum and arrives at the aim of controlling and treating malignant ascites.

Objective:To compare and analyze the value of diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) of 1.5T magnetic resonance (MR) in differential diagnosis for localized prostate cancer, chronic inflammatory response and benign hyperplasia.Methods: 80 patients with localized prostate cancer were enrolled in the research. The signal to noise ratio (SNR) of DWI, ADC value and semi-quantitative classification of DWI on lesions were measured, and the diagnostic efficiencies of them were compared by using ROC curve.Results: In the 80 patients with localized prostate cancer patients, there were 52 malignant lesions and 43 benign lesions in peripheral band, and there were 31 malignant lesions and 46 benign lesions in central gland. The ADC values of prostate cancer in peripheral band and central gland were 0.91±0.12 and 0.86±0.15, respectively, and they were significantly lower than that of normal tissue (1.68±0.23 and 1.28±0.31) and benign lesions (1.24±0.21 and 1.12±0.16). The semi-quantitative classifications of DWI for benign lesions were significantly higher than that for malignant lesions in peripheral band and central gland, respectively (x2=20.88,x2=12.14;P<0.05). For the diagnostic efficiency of ADC, the sensitivities of benign and malignant lesions in peripheral band and malignant gland were 91.3% and 79.1%, respectively, and the specificities of them were 89.6% and 70.2%. And they was significant higher than the corresponding sensitivities (71.2% and 51.3%)and specificities (78.4% and 65.8%) of DWI imaging.Conclusion: Both of DWI and ADC of 1.5T magnetic resonance are the important indexes in differential diagnosis for prostate cancer, chronic inflammatory response and benign hyperplasia, while ADC value is better than DWI image in the clinical efficiency.
