Objective To explore whether the Chinese medicine Guben Yiliu III can improve the effect of gemcit -abine on human pancreatic cancer xenograft in nude mice . Methods Nude mice with transplanted human pancreatic cancer were divided randomly into 4 groups: control group, gemcitabine treatment group , combined ( Guben Yiliu III +gemcitabine) group, and Guben Yiliu III group, 10 mice in each group. The gemcitabine group and combined group were treated with gemcitabine from the 8th day after transplantation in a dose of 100 mg/kg by i.p.injection, twice a week. Guben Yiliu III and combined groups were given the aqueous solution of Guben Yiliu III granules p .o.since the 8th day af-ter transplantation .Result The inhibition rate of transplanted tumor in the three treatment groups were 48.9% in the gemcitabine group , 68.9%in the combined group , and 28.0%in the Guben Yiliu III group .The combined group showed a significantly higher inhibition rate than the gemcitabine group (P<0.05).The gemcitabine group, combined group and Guben Yiliu III group showed a significantly slower growth rate than the control group .However, the combined treatment group showed a pronounced side effect and body weight loss than the other 3 groups .Conclusions The Chinese medicine Guben Yiliu III can improve the inhibitory effect of gemcitabine on nude mice with human pancreatic cancer xenograft in the auxilla of nude mice .

ObjectiveTo explore the relationship among 25-hydroxyvitamin D,serum calcium,calcium-sensing receptor, and breast cancer. Methods The expressions of calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR) in primary breast cancer, breast benign tumors, and normal breast tissue beside tumors were determined by immunohistochemistry S-P method as well as the concentration of serum 25 (OH) D and serum calcium in breast cancer and breast benign tumors by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA),Tribromoarsenazo Ⅲ method.ResultsSerum 25 (OH) D level of breast cancer was significantly lower than the breast benign tumors [ (34.13 ± 14.14) nmol/L vs (50.29 ± 25.65 ) nmol/L,t =2.870,P =0.001 ].Serum level of 25 ( OH ) D in lymph node metastasis positive patient was lower than that in negative group [ (30.8 ± 9.71 ) nmol/L vs (43.7 ± 23.59) nmol/L,t =2.467,P =0.021 ].The positive expression of CaSR in breast cancer(88.9% )was higher than breast benign tumors(60%,x2 =6.717,P < 0.01 ) and normal breast tissue beside tumors (60%,x2 =5.628,P < 0.05 ).ConclusionsConcentration of serum 25 (OH)D and expression of calcium-sensing receptor in the tissues may be associated with occurrence, development and prognosis of breast cancer.

Objective:To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of all the patients with intertrochanteric fracture admitted to the Third Hospital of Heibei Medical University in the past 10 years. Methods:Data of patients with intertrochanteric fracture admitted to our hospital from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the year of admission, all the patients were divided into two groups: the first five years (group A) and the last five years (group B). Gender, age, injury cause, Evans classification, complicated diseases, length of hospital stay and whether surgical treatment or not were compared. Results:A total of 6,125 patients with intertrochanteric fracture were included in the study, including 2,664 males and 3,461 females with a male to female ratio of 0.77∶1. The peak age was 70-79 for males and 80-89 for females. There were 2,314 cases in group A (male to female ratio was 0.91∶1) and 3,811 cases in group B (0.70∶1), showing significant differences between the 2 groups in the male to female ratio ( χ2=25.265, P< 0.05). The peak age ranged from 70 to 80 years (31.9%,739/2,314) in group A and from 80 to 90 years (34.5%, 1,313/3,811) in group B. There were significant differences between the 2 groups in the sex ratios of age groups from 70 to 79 years ( χ2=0.024, P< 0.05). In all the 6,152 patients with a definite injury cause, the fall and indoor activity accounted for the highest proportion (83.9%, 5,140/6,125), and the proportion of group A was 75.4% (1,745/2,314) while the proportion of group B was 89.1%(3,395/3,811) showing a significant differences between the 2 groups in injury cause ( χ2=14.363, P< 0.05). Based on X-ray films or computer tomography (CT) of 3,560 patients, the Evans type II and III were the most common types. Type II accounted for the highest proportion in group A (38.1%, 239/628) while type III did in group B (39.5%, 1,159/2,932) . There were significant differences between the 2 groups in the proportion of Evans classification ( χ2=183.569, P< 0.05). Of all the 6,125 fracture cases, 4,846 fracture patients (79.1%) were complicated with medical diseases. There was a statistically significant difference between the 2 group of the patients who were complicated with medical diseases ( χ2=8.916, P< 0.05). A total of 5,148 patients were treated by operation and 1,925 patients were in group A while the other 3,259 cases were in group B. In group A, the median hospitalization was 14 days and the quartile interval was 8 days. In group B, the median hospitalization and the quartile interval was 12 days and 8 days respectively. There were significant differences between the 2 groups in length of hospital stay for patients treated by surgery ( Z=-9.909, P<0.001). Conclusion:The intertrochanteric fractures admitted to the Third Hospital of Heibei Medical University in the past 10 years were more common in females than in males. Fall and indoor activity was the most common injury cause. Evans types II and III prevailed. The fractures showed an aging trend by comparing the former 5 years and latter 5 years. The number of intertrochanteric fracture patients complicated with medical diseases increased significantly, but the total days of hospitalization was on the decline.

Objective To modify the mouse model of orthotopic left lung transplantation from different perspectives, aiming to establish a simpler, faster and stabler mouse model of lung transplantation. Methods Based on preliminary modified rat model of orthotopic left lung transplantation established by our team, varying extent of modifications were made regarding the tracheal intubation, cannula preparation and anastomosis procedures of orthotopic left lung transplantation in the recipient mice. Orthotopic left lung transplantation in 40 mice were performed by an operator with microsurgical experience. The dissection of the recipient's hilar structure was carried out at the plane of the hilar clamp model within the reverse-view, and the three branches (left main bronchus, pulmonary artery and pulmonary vein) of the pulmonary hilum were anastomosed in turn by the "pendulum" anastomosis method. The operation time of each procedure was recorded. The recipient mice were sacrificed at postoperative 2 weeks, and the incidence of postoperative complications was recorded. Results Lung transplantation was successfully completed in 40 mice, with no bronchial and vascular tearing or twisting, and no bleeding at the anastomosis site. The overall cardiopulmonary procurement time was (10.7±1.5) min, cannula preparation time was (16.2±1.5) min, cold ischemia time was (25.1±2.4) min, warm ischemia time was (19.4±1.6) min, and the total operation time was (57.2±2.9) min, respectively. During the follow-up from 6 to 14 days after surgery, one recipient mouse died of pleural effusion, probably caused by infection. No pneumothorax, thrombosis or atelectasis was found in the remaining recipient mice during postoperative follow-up. Conclusions The modified mouse model of orthotopic left lung transplantation based on "pendulum" anastomosis of the reverse-view plane possesses multiple advantages of short operation time, high success rate and few complications, which is expected to become an alternative model of studying pathological changes after lung transplantation and worthy of further application.
