1.Acupuncture benefits the motor function of strokes with somnipathy at early stage
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2000;6(2):72-75
patients with steady vital signs and affected by combined somnipathy at the early stage of stroke were divided into three groups according to the date of admission:the experimental group(Group E)and the control groups(Group C1 and Group C2).The rehabilitation programs to all patients are the same, except the somnipathy,(1) patients of Group E were adopted the method of acupuncture and moxibustion coupled with taping and pressing their ear acupuncture points to improve their quality of sleep,(2) patients of Group C1 were asked to administer orally the traquilizers, and (3) no interference was conducted to the patients of Group C2.After 8 weeks of treatment,it is found that,(1) the speed of recovery of the motor function of the patients of both Group E and Group C1 is faster than that of Group C2 (P<0.01).(2) The total sleeping hours of Group E is significantly compared with that of Group C1(P<0.05).This shows that the long-term effects of the acupuncture therapy on sleep are superior to that of the tranquilizer. It suggests that the acupuncture therapy is an improtant method to treat the sequelae and syndrome of stroke.

Objective To construct the core competence index system of nursing postgraduates in TCM colleges and universities. Methods The Delphi method was used to investigate 30 nursing experts and consult about core competence that nursing postgraduates of TCM colleges and universities should have. Results The effective recovery rates of questionnaire were respectively 85.7% and 86.7%.The authority coefficients were 0.86 and 0.84,and the consistency coefficients were 0.278 and 0.253 with statistical significance.Index system for core competence with 4 first-grade indexes and 20 second-grade indexes was formed. The full score ratio of first-class indexes was 0.96-1.00,coefficients variation was 0.10-0.13; for the second-class,the full score rate was 0.62-1.00,coefficient variation was 0.08-0.19.Conclusions For formation items of core competence index system of nursing postgraduates in TCM colleges and universities, the opinions of experts are centralized, which can provide reference for training program of nursing postgraduates in TCM colleges and universities.

Objective To investigate clinical distribution and drug sensitivity of infectious pathogens in our wards for hematology malignancies. Methods Drug sensitivity tests of bacteria were performed by Kirby-Bauer method, 56 strains of pathogens were isolated from all detected samples. Results The results showed that the composition ratio of Gram-negtive bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria was 69.64%, 30.36%. In decreasing frequency, Escherichia coli (37.50%), Klebsiella pneumoniae (10.71%). All of staphylococcies were resistant to meticillin, and sensitive to vancomycin. Conclusion This study indicates that Gramnegative bacteria remain the predominant pathogens in microorganisms causing bloodstream infections for hematological malignancies at Huashan Hospital. The incidence of Escherichia coli is the highest. All of staphylococcies were resistant to meticillin.
