Objective To examine the health-promoting lifestyles of clinical nurses and analyze the relationship between the scores and their socio-demographic characteristics. Methods The researeh design was a cross-sectional descriptive study. The study population was 710 clinical nurses who were working at a class A tertiary teaching hospitals in a certain province. The research instruments included the healthpromoting lifestyle profile and socio-demographic characteristics of objects. Results The research findings showed that the nurses had a relatively poor health-promoting lifestyles with the mean total score at (81.41±21.71); within 52 items, the mean score of each item was (1.57:±0.42).Significant differences were found among sub-dimensions of health-promoting lifestyle profile, while nurses performed best in the interpersonal relations, subsequently followed by self realization, balanced diet, pressure management and health responsibility, but worst in exercise. There was also a statistical difference in the total score of health-promoting lifestyle among nurses who had different characteristics including marital status, education level, professional tifle, income, and taking the night shift. Conclusions The research results should raise the concern of nursing managers and clinical nurses to rectify the current status of relatively poor health- promoting lifestyles among nurses.

Neijing was a early medical classic existing in China and had a deep influence on the formation of traditional Chinese medicine. Besides, Neijing was also an ancient philosophic works, in which the severe view of heaven was recorded, laying a sound basis for the development of TCM. It would have great significance for health cultivation of patients with chronic liver diseases to analyze the theory on relation between human and nature recorded in Neijing and to absorb its rational contents.

Objective This work aimed at study the rel ationship between the pathologicomorphological change of gastrocneminus muscle cells and deep venous insufficiency (DVI).Methods Patients with DVI in three different stage of developing process are grouped into early t eam?middle team and late team group ,each group consists of 9 cases.HE stain , special ATPase histoenzymic methds was quantitatively employed to study histo chemical cytomorphology of gastrocneminus and musculus sartorius specimens in th ose subjects. Results There is no significant difference of the pathologicomorphological change, either between early-stage group and mid-sta ge group or between early-stage group & mid-stage and control group. But there is significant difference comparing advanced stage group and early-stage group & m id-stage group or between advanced-stage and control group. Conclusion As the process of DVI develops, marked morphological degeneration can be found in gastrocneminus muscle cells. It could be regarded as the pathogenic fundament of impairment of calf muscle pump and development of DVI.

30 patients (16 females 14 males; age of 7-72 years, the mean age of45. 4 years)with various pemphigus for the first time admitted to our hospitalduring the period of 1959-1979 have been studied. It was important torecognize mucous lesions in the early stage of diagnosing the disease. Itwas fouud that the disease was characterized with their living district. Thecorticosteroid therapy and early application of immunosuppressive wasdiscussed. It sbould be suggested that the local application of Rivanolointment gauze give good results.

Objective To study the effects of extract 5F from Pteris semipinnata L. on the apoptosis of skin fibroblasts in patients with systemic sc leroderma (SSc) and the possible mechanism of its inhibition on the proliferatio n of skin fibroblasts. Methods The cultured SSc skin fibroblasts were used as an experimental model, and the apoptosis of SSc skin fibroblasts before and afte r the extract 5F stimulation was detected by TUNEL assay and fluorescent microsc opy. Results The apoptosis of SSc skin fibroblasts was induced by the extract 5F, and the apoptosis was enhanced along with the increase of the concentration and incubation time of this compound within definite limits. Conclusions These results indicate that the extract 5F can induce the apoptosis of SSc skin fibro blasts, and significantly inhibit the proliferation and collagen synthesis in th ese cells.

AIM: To study the effects of taurine on ATP sensitive potassium channel (IK_~-ATP ) during hypoxia in single ventricular myocyte. METHODS: The model of myocardial hypoxia was induced by unmixed and saturated nitrogen. IK_~-ATP activities were measured by whole-cell patch clamp recording. RESULTS: Activities of IK_~-ATP in the cell membrane of hypoxia ventricular myocyte significantly increased, compared to that in the normal. Extracellular injection of taurine (5,10,20 mmol/L) inhibited the increase in the IK_~-ATP activity in the hypoxia myocardium in a concentration-depend manner. Injection of taurine also recovered shorten APD during hypoxia. CONCLUSIONS: Taurine produces its cardioprotective effect by inhibiting the activity of IK_~-ATP in the hypoxia cardiomycytes of guinea pig. The results suggest that the depletion of taurine during myocardial hypoxia contributes to the early activation of the K_~ATP channel. [

AIM: To observe the changes of Ca-L current (ICa-L) and to investigate the mechanism of salvia miltiorrhizae (SM) for eliminating Ca~2+ overloaded in cells during acute hypoxia/reoxygenation. METHODS: The whole cell patch clamp technique was applied to study the changes of ICa-L. Different concentrations (32, 320, ~3 200 mg/L) of SM were added to the ventricular myocytes isolated from guinea pigs by enzyme digestion. RESULTS: SM (32, 320, ~3 200 mg/L) decreased the amplitude of ICa-L in a concentration-dependent manner regardless of these cells were under normoxia, hypoxia or reoxygenation. Furthermore, SM at low concentration (32 mg/L) was more effective to hypoxia or reoxygenation-treated cells than that to the cells under normoxia condition. CONCLUSION: These results indicate that SM effectively decreases the abnormal raised amplitude of ICa-L in ventricular myocytes under hypoxia or reoxygenation conditions, preventing Ca~2+ overloaded in the cells. AIM: To investigate the effect of hypoxia on persistent sodium current (I_Nap ) in single ventricular myocyte isolated from acute myocardial infarction (AMI) heart of rats and to study the mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias that occur after AMI. METHODS: AMI model was induced by ligating the left anterior descending coronary artery in rats. The whole-cell patch clamp technique was used to record the current in epicardial myocytes in infarcted region from rats at 3 week after AMI. RESULTS: In normoxic conditions, the current density of I_ Nap in cardiomyocytes of fake operation (FO) and AMI hearts was 0.144?0.022 pA/pF (n=9), 0.121?0.013 pA/pF (n=9,P

Objective To explore the application effect of PDCA cycles on the normal limb position of stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods The stroke patients with hemiplegia (128 cases) were selected as study subjects. Patients(62 cases)during January to September 2014 were set as the control group, and received routine nursing care. Patients(66 cases)during October 2014 to July 2015 were set as the experimental group, and used PDCA cycles management on the normal limb position additionally. The application effect of PDCA cycles on the normal limb position was evaluated through comparing two groups with qualification rates of normal limb position and incidence of complications. Results The qualification rates of normal limb position in the control group was 38.71%(24/62), which was higher than that of the control group, which was 75.76% (50/66) (χ2=16.504, P<0.01). The complications occurred in the control group were strephenopodia (11 cases), foot drop (16 cases), dislocation of shoulder (9 cases), omodynia (27 cases) and myospasm (34 cases), and they were 3 cases, 7 cases, 2 cases, 15 cases and 18 cases in the experimental group respectively. The incidence of complications was lower than those of the control group (χ2=4.001-8.961, P < 0.05), and the difference was statistically significant between two groups. Conclusions PDCA cycles management could improve the qualification rates of normal limb position and reduce the incidence of complications, which was beneficial to the recovery of limb function.
