Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2013;36(35):33-34,38
Objective To study the expression level of interleukin (IL)-22 in the peripheral blood of patients with ankylosing spondylitis and its clinical significance. Methods The mRNA level of IL-22 in the peripheral blood was measured by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and the plasma level of IL-22 was measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay in 30 patients with ankylosing spondylitis and 30 normal controls. Results The mRNA level of IL-22 in the peripheral blood and the plasma level of IL-22 in patients with ankylosing spondylitis were statistically higher than those in normal controls [1.82 ± 0.79 vs.1.31 ± 0.63 and (47.08 ± 17.25) ng/L vs.(30.47 ± 11.24) ng/L,P < 0.05].Conclusion The level of IL-22 in the peripheral blood of patients with ankylosing spondylitis increases, and IL-22 may participate in the occurrence of ankylosing spondylitis.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(22):1777-1779
OBJECTIVE:
To verify the relationship between THI and VAS scores in patients with sudden hearing loss and tinnitus in a prospective study.
METHOD:
Forty-four patients classified their tinnitus according to VAS and THI before and after treatment, and both scores were compared through the Pearson's correlation coefficient test and Nonparametric tests.
RESULT:
There was a correlation between VAS and THI scores in patients with sudden hearing loss and tinnitus. Tinnitus assessment scores were significantly reduced after treatment. Decreasing of THI and VAS scores were not depended on frequency and loudness of tinnitus and severity of deafness, but therapeutic effect of sudden sensorineural hearing loss.
CONCLUSION
THI and VAS scores are useful for assessment of tinnitus in patients with sudden hearing loss and tinnitus.

Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 2017;38(5):698-701,719
Objective To observe the morphology of ethanol-wet dentin surfaces and detect their nano-scale adhesion force (Fad) by atomic force microscopy (AFM) in order to explore the potential mechanism of ethanol-wet bonding in improving clinical dentin bonding effectiveness. Methods Dentin slices from human premolar roots were prepared into flat ones, polished, and then randomly divided into five groups. All the specimens were acid-etched, rinsed, and left moist. They were then treated with 100% ethanol for 0s (control group), 20s, 60s, 3×60s, or stepwise ethanol application.Afterwards, each group was scanned for the morphology in air and the Fad was probed by AFM.One-way ANOVA followed by Tukey`s test was employed for multiple comparisons using SPSS16.0.Results Compared with control group, ethanol-wet dentine produced a less undulating and relatively smooth surface topography.Ethanol-wet protocol significantly decreased the value of Fad in the experimental groups (P<0.001), in which 3×60s and stepwise ethanol application groups showed the lowest Fad.No difference was found between these two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion When using AFM in air, ethanol-wet protocol with longer time can produce a less undulating and relatively smooth surface topography and decrease the Fad, whichindicates that the water saturated in dentin matrix was replaced more thoroughly by longer ethanol application time. This will benefit hydrophobicity of the dentin bonding interface.

Objective To explore the best cutoff point of the quantitative analysis of organization diffusion for differentiating liver fibrosis and to assess its diagnostic value. Methods Sixty-five patients with chronic hepatitis B were examined with quantitative analysis of organization diffusion before liver biopsy, and made a ROC analysis of diagnostic test. All cases confirmed by pathology. Results 114.95 was the best cutoff point of the strain average value which was one parameter of the quantitative analysis of organization diffusion, the area under the curve of ROC was 0.950 (P=0.000),and the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy were 92.3%,87.2% and 89.2%,respectively.Conclusions The quantitative analysis of organization diffusion is helpful in diagnosing liver fibrosis.

Objective To investigate the value of ultrasound elastosonography in the diagnosis of liver fibrosis. Methods One hundred and twenty patients with chronic hepatitis B were examined by ultrasound elastosonography and given elasticity scores, the correlation coefficient between the elasticity scores and the histologic fibrosis stage was evaluated and its difference in the diagnosis of liver fibrosis was compared. Results The Spearman's correlation coefficient between the elasticity scores and the histologic fibrosis stage was 0. 875,which was highly significant ( P<0. 01). There was no significantly difference between elasticity scores and fibrosis staging in the diagnosis of liver fibrosis by Marginal Homogeneity (Z=- 1. 144, P = 0. 149). The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of ultrasonic elastography for diagnosing liver fibrosis were 92. 5%, 85.0%, 90.0%, respectively. Conclusions Elastosonography is helpful for the diagnosis of liver fibrosis.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2004;10(10):585-587
ObjectiveTo observe the effect of exercise on expression of protein kinase B (PKB) in adipose tissue of insulin resistant rats fed by high fat diet.Methods30 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into the control group (n=10),given basic diet; the model group (n=20), given fat diet. After 4 weeks, the model group was randomly divided into 2 subgroups, the insulin resistant group was continually given high fat diet, the exercise treated group accepted high fat food and swimming training. After 6 week intervention, the expression of PKB stimulated by insulin in adipose tissue was determined with Western blotting at the end of experiment.ResultsAfter long term high fat diet, expression of PKB in adipose tissue of the insulin resistant group decreased by 23.5% comparing with the control group (P<0.01). After 6 weeks swimming training, the expression of PKB of the exercise treated group was increased by 19.2% comparing with the insulin resistant group (P<0.01).ConclusionExercise treatment can significantly elevate the expression of PKB and ameliorate the state of insulin resistance.

AIMTo investigate the effect of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) on spontaneous unit discharges of primary somatosensory cortex (SI-SUD) and the role of 5-HT1A receptor in 5-HT inhibitory effect on SI-SUD in rat.
METHODSThe SI-SUD was recorded before and during microiontophoresis of 5-HT and 8-OH-DPAT (the selective agonist for 5-HT1A receptor. The changes of mean of interspike interval (MISI) of SI-SUD were analysed and handled with the statistics.
RESULTS(1) Effects of 5-HT on SI-SUD may be inhibitory (48/96), excitatory (26/96) or non-responsive (22/96), and the major effect is inhibitory. (2) In 20 of 5-HT inhibited units, 17 are also inhibited with microiontophoresis of 8-OH-DPAT, but 3 have no obvious response to 8-OH-DPAT.
CONCLUSIONThe major effect of 5-HT on SI-SUD is inhibitory. In majority of 5-HT inhibited units, 5-HT1A receptor may be existence, which may involve in the inhibition of 5-HT on SI-SUD.
