Objective To evaluate the association between the expression of breast cancer metastasis suppressor gene 1 (BRMS1) and the progression of cancer,and provide the basis for predicting the occurrence and metastasis of cancer.Methods Articles about BRMS1 with the clinical research literatures of cancer from PubMed,EMBase,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang and VIP database were retrieved.The association between the expression of BRMS1 and tumorigenesis was evaluated by odds ratio (OR).The RevMan 5.3 software was used to complete the meta-analysis.Results A total of 27 articles were included,involving 2 282 cases in cancer group and 1 236 cases in the control group.The meta-analysis results showed that BRMS1 expression was significantly upregulated in cancer lesions compared with paired non-cancer (OR =0.10,95％ CI:O.08-0.14,Z =15.37,P ＜0.000 O1).In the subgroup about the type of cancers,there was statistically significant difference in the pooled OR between breast cancer and the control group (OR =0.10,95％ CI:0.05-0.20,Z =6.18,P ＜ 0.000 01).Conclusion The level of BRMS1 is negatively correlated with tumorigenesis including breast cancer.Low or absent BRMS1 expression in the tumor tissue may be an adverse predictive factor of tumorigenesis and metastasis.

Objective Analysis of early risk predict markers within 24h after admission of prognosis in severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). Methods Medical records of 127 patients with sever acute pancreatitis admitted to our hospital within 72h after onset from February 2006 to July 2009 were retrospectively analyzed. These inpatients were grouped into survival group (102 cases) and death group (25 cases). The clinical and laboratory data within 24h after admission were compared between two groups. Results Compared with survival group, patients in death group had significantly difference in heart rate, respiratory, PaO2, pH value, serum calcium, serum kalium, serum creatine, BUN, BE, LDH, serum albumin and APCHE Ⅱscores (P<0.05). Higher APCHE Ⅱ scores after admission was an independent early high risk predicator of death. Conclusions Death group was characterized as severe multiple organ dysfunction and severe internal disturbance. Heart rate, respiratory, PaO2, pH value, serum calcium, serum potassium, serum creatine, BUN, BE, LDH, serum albumin and APCHE Ⅱ scores were early risk predict markers of death in patients with sever acute pancreatitis.

Objective To investigate the phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of CDK1 based on the specific cell cycle apoptosis in Molt-4 cells and active variety of CDK1 in cell cycle specific apoptosis.Methods The exponential phase of growth Molt-4 cells (the human acute lymphoblastic leukemia cell line) were induced with dose response and time course of Camptothecin (CPT).The specific cell cycle apoptosis was detected with API method,then cell apoptosis was verified with post sorting confocal method.Meanwhile,the phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of CDK1 were detected by the protein electrophoretic analysis (Western blot).Results The specific cell cycle apoptosis occurred on exponential phase of growth Molt-4 cells after CPT treatment.When Molt-4 cells occured S-phase apoptosis, the apoptosis cell phosphorylation of CDK1-Thr161 band was more narrow than that of control cells, the apoptosis cell phosphorylation of CDK1-Thr15 band almost had the same band with control cells.Conclusion Cell apoptosis frequently developed in different cell cycle phase. API assay is quick and efficient method to analyze specific cell cycle apoptosis. When cell apoptosis take place in S-phase,the phosphorylation activity of CDK1 is inhibited.

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and method of intraarterial embolization in treatment of hepatic cavernous hemangioma. Methods 17 patients,8males and 9 females, were treated by super selective hepatic artery embolization with iodized oil, gelfoam pieces, and embolization coils. Results All patients had been embolized successfully. The rate of success was 100%. 11 cases were followed up by CT/USG for 1～12 months. The size of tumor was decreased more than 50% in 8 cases, more than 30% in 2 cases, and the effect was uncertain in 1 case. Symptoms of 11 patients were disappeared and relief was obvious in 5 cases.Total effective rate was 94% with no significant complications. Conclusions HAE is a safe and effective method. It may be considered as the first method of choice in treatment of hepatic cavernous hemangioma.

Objective To investigate the treatment effect of recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor (rb-bFGF) in patients with gingivitis and its influence on gingival sulcus bleeding index. Methods Sixty-eight patients with gingivitis treated in our hospital were randomly divided into control group (34 cases) and observation group (34 cases). The control group were given basic periodontal therapy, while the observation group were treated with rb-bFGF. The clinical effects, gingival sulcus bleeding index (SBI) before and after treatment, and the recurrence were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the total effective rate (97.06%) of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (70.59%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The SBI of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group at 1 and 2 weeks after treatment (P<0.05). The recurrence rate of the observation group (5.88%) was significantly lower than that of the control group (23.53%) (P<0.05). The incidence of complications such as pain, periodontal abscess, bromopnea and loosening was significantly lower in the observation group (8.82%) than in the control group (32.35%). The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion After rb-bFGF treatment, the symptoms of toothache and gingival swelling disappear, normal function of teeth is restored, gingival sulcus bleeding improves significantly, with fewer adverse reactions and obvious clinical effect.

BACKGROUND: Under certain condition, circulating endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) can differentiate into endothelial cells, and further participate in angiogenesis.OBJECTIVE: The goal of this study was to investigate the feasibility and efficacy of peripheral blood-derived EPCs in promoting angiogenesis in the ischemic myocardium, in order to provide a new cell implanting method for the treatment of coronary heart disease.DESIGN: A randomized controlled experiment.MATERIALS: Sixty male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats, of clean grade, weighing (340±20) g, were provided by Qingdao Laboratory Animal Center. These animals were randomly divided into 2 groups with 30 rats in each: experimental group and control group. In each group, ten rats were separately observed 2, 4 and 8 weeks after EPCs being injected. The protocol was conducted in accordance with animal ethics guidelines for the use and care of animals.METHODS: This study was carried out in the Qingdao Key Laboratory of Medical Biological Technology between May 2003 and September 2004. After SD rats in the experimental group were anesthetized, peripheral blood was taken.Mononuclear cells were harvested by density gradient centrifugation. CD31, CD34, Flk-1 and von Willebrand disease factor immunofluorescence staining positive EPCs were harvested by adding the defined media of vascular endothelial growth factors and basic fibroblast growth factor. Myocardial ischemia was induced by ligation of murine left anterior descending coronary artery. Autologous EPCs isolated from the peripheral blood of each animal were infused to ischemic myocardium. In the control groups,cell culture media were infused, and the other procedures were the same as those in the experimental group. Two, four and eight weeks after ligation, all animals were sacrificed by overdose anesthesia, and heart tissue sections were made.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ①After haematoxylin-eosin staining, myocardial structure changes were observed under an optical microscope. ②Cells positive for factor Ⅷ were numbered and then to calculate the total number of cells in each visual field for evaluating microvessel density with a German ZEISS Axiotron image analyzer.RESULTS: All the 60 SD rats were involved in the final analysis, without deletion. ①Myocardial structure was relatively disarrayed in the control groups, with collagens and fibroblasts substituted for cardiomyocytes. In the marginal infarct areas, cardiomyocytes were irregular and partial cells were significantly hypertrophied. As compared with control group, myocardial collagen fibers fused less, and tissue structure got more disarranged in the experimental group. Microvessel density in the implanted area was obviously increased. ②In the 2nd, 4th and 8th weeks after EPC infusion, microvessel density at the ischemic myocardium was significantly higher than that at the corresponding time point in the control group (P ＜ 0.01). In the EPCs groups, microvessel density tended to statistically increase with time going (P ＜ 0.05). No prominent difference was observed in the three control groups (P＞ 0.05).CONCLUSION: Relatively purified EPCs can be obtained by certain procedure of isolation and culture from rat peripheral blood. Intramyocardial implantation of autologous EPCs promotes microangiogenesis and has a protective effect on ischemic myocardial tissue.

Objective To investigate the effect of Mlot-4 cells onset with Roscovitine (ROSC)as some Cyclin-dependent kinases(CDK),inhibitor.Methods The logarithmic growth phase Molt-4 cells treated with ROSC at a final concentration ranging between 1～20 μmol/L and harvested in different time point,DNA assay of single cells by flow cytometry was used to detect the effect of cell cycle arrest and Annexin-V/FITC assay was used to detect the effect of cell apoptosis. Results It showed that ROSC exerted strong inhibitory effect on proliferation and cell cycle progression of Molt-4 Accumulation of G2/M arrested cells starting 6 h after onset of 10 μmol/L and 20 μmol/L ROSC;at the same time,the cell apoptosis of Molt-4 would be detected,According with the time and concentration changing,the cell apoptosis rate would rise.Conclusion It is concluded that Roscovitine(ROSC)as some Cyclin-dependent kinases(CDK),inhibitor,It has dual effects to Molt-4 cells,not only the effect of cell cycle arrest but also the effect of cell apoptosis.

Objective To explore the procedures of isolation,cultivation of endothelial progenitor cells(EPC) from peripheral bloods and the feasibility of local EPC transplantation to promote neovascularization in ischemic myocardium. Methods Peripheral blood was obtained from the femoral artery of each Sprague-Dawley(SD)rat.Myocardial ischemia was induced by ligation of murine left anterior descending coronary artery.Immmdiate timepoint of ligation procedure, autologous EPC from peripheral blood,positive for CD31,D34,Flk-1 and vWF,isolated from the peripheral blood of each animal were injected to ischemic myocardium.In the control groups,cell culture media was injected.Rats were euthanized and neovascularization in local ischemia areas was evaluated.Results Hematoxylin-eosin staining indicated better myocardial arrangement in the EPC group.Capillary density in ischemic myocardium weeks after transplantation was significantly greater in the group of EPC injection than the control groups.Conclusion Relatively purified EPC can be obtained by certain procedure of isolation and culture from rat peripheral blood.Intramyocardial transplantation of autologous EPCs will promote microangiogenesis and has a protective effect on ischemic myocardial tissue.

There was no subspecialties differentiation such as physical therapy and occupational therapy of the rehabilitation therapy in most of institutions in China. The outstanding issues included teacher shortage, technological backwardness and imperfect practice education conditions of occupational therapy. The experience of cooperation was also introduced.

The function of the herpes simplex virus type 1(HSV-1)UL4 protein is still elusive. Our objective is to investigate the subcellular transport mechanism of the UL4 protein. In this study,fluorescence microscopy was employed to investigate the subcellular localization of UL4 and characterize the transport mechanism in living cells. By constructing a series of deletion mutants fused with enhanced yellow fluorescent protein(EYFP),the nuclear export signals(NES)of UL4 were for the first time mapped to amino acid residues 178 to 186. In addition,the N-terminal 19 amino acids are identified to be required for the granule-like cytoplasmic pattern of UL4.Furthermore,the UL4 protein was demonstrated to be exported to the cytoplasm through the NES in a chromosomal region maintenance 1(CRM l)-dependent manner involving RanGTP hydrolysis.
