Objective To investigate the association of complement C1q polymorphism with the susceptibility to lupus nephritis (LN) in the people of Wuhan district,Hubei province, China. Methods The polymorphie frequency at C1q region of accommodation Aexon2, Bexonl,Bexon2,Cexon2 in 30 LN patients,20 non-LN nephropathy controls and 10 healthy controls were examined by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP)and then the sequence of mutational site was detected directly.Association of C1q polymorphism with LN was analyzed by chi-square criterion. Results Already repoaed mutable points oversea,such as C1qAexon2:C→T,C1qBexon1:G→A,C1qBexon2:G→A,C1q Cexon2:C deletion,in C1q region of accommodation were not detected in 30 LN patients,20 nonLN nephropathy controls and 10 healthy controls. Conclusion Polymorphism in the regulatory region of C1q region of accommodation is not associated with the susceptibility to LN in the people of Wuhan district,Hubei province,China,which may be influenced by a small number of subjects.

Objective: To ascertain the gene flow tracks and patterns and the origin of HLA class Ⅱ in the Chinese Nation.Methods : HLA classⅡ in 11 Chinese groups and 5 reference populations was studied by clustering analysis of genetic structure and distribution comparison of gene frequencies.Results and Conclusion: These analyses revealed that these genes decreased southwards and originated probably in Caucasoid or Negroids (DQA 1*0501, DQB1*0501, etc.),and those decreased northwards and originated probably in Southeast Asia (DQA1* 0601, DRB1*1202, etc.).It was found that these genes decreased both southwards and northwards (DQB1*0303, DRB1*0901,*1501,etc.) and originated probably in certain groups in mainland of Chinese Nation,and that HLA genes in different Chinese groups migrated from each other and amalgamated deeply,but Dais, Buyis etc were isolated from outside in some degree. Our results also supported that the Chinese Nation comprises two major populations of north and south.We proposed that the migration and mixing are the dominant driving force of the HLA gene flow while the genetic drift caused by isolation and the nature selection have an important influence on HLA genetic structure.

Objective To investigate the prevalence and influencing factors in senile cataract in Huzhou city.Methods 1 680 cases of healthy physical examination elderly population were selected as the research subjects in Huzhou city.To investigate the prevalence of cataract in the elderly population.The correlation of the prevalence of senile cataract,visual impairment and sex,age was studied.The correlation of the prevalence of senile cataract and diabetes,hypertension,smoking was analyzed.At the same time,Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influence factors of senile cataract.Results In 1 680 cases of elderly people,299 cases of cataract,the prevalence rate of cataract was 17.79%.With age increased,the prevalence of senile cataract was gradually increased.The preva-lence of cataract in female was 21.80%,which was higher than 15.82% in male,and the difference was statistically significant (χ2 =9.083,P <0.01).The visual acuity of senile cataract patients would increase with age.Moreover, the visual acuity of female patients was higher than that of male patients.The prevalence of cataract in diabetic group was 64.58%,which was higher than 17.89% in non -diabetes group,the difference was statistically significant (χ2 =65.457,P <0.01 ).The prevalence of cataract in hypertension group was 61.48%,which was higher than 14.31% in non -hypertension group,and the difference was statistically significant (χ2 =163.538,P <0.01).The prevalence of cataract in smoking group was 80.39%,which was higher than 16.94% in non - smoking group,the difference was statistically significant (χ2 =130.046,P <0.01).Logistic regression analysis showed that gender,age, diabetes,hypertension,smoking,and so on were the factors affecting the incidence of cataract in the elderly popula-tion.Conclusion The prevalence of cataract in the elderly population in Huzhou city need to pay attention to the local health department.

The plasma von Willebrand factor (vWF) level was measured in 109 type 2 diabetic patients and 56 healthy subjects. The plasma vWF level was significantly higher in diabetic patients than that in healthy subjects (P

0.05) ; whereas it was seen in CNE-2Z-H5-9. Anti-PAI-1 antibody did not inhibit the heterogeneous adhesion and invsion of CNE-2Z-H5-9. Conclusions:PAI-1 maybe inhibit the metastasis and invasion of NPC.

Objective: To explore the coping strategies of the elderly with Impaired Glucose Regulation(IGR), to compare the differences of coping strategies among the groups of different prognosis and to provide some advice on psychological intervention. Methods: Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG)and two-hour postprandial Plasma Glucose of OGTT(OGTT2hPG)of 220 old persons with IGR were tested, and they were assessed by TCSQ. Results: 27.73%～78.64% of old people with IGR chose active strategies when facing stress, 4.09%～18.18% of them adopted negative strategies. There were no significant differences of coping strategies among the groups of different prognosis. Conclusion: It was better to pay more attention to those who mainly selected negative strategies in psychological intervention on the elderly with IGR.

Objective To explore the effect of breast-conserving operation for the treatment of early-stage breast cancer. Methods From November 1999 to Octorber 2001, the patients with early-stage breast cancer were treated with breast-conserving surgery followed by radical irradiation according to the patients' will. The cosmetic results and quality of life were analyzed after surgery and radiation. Results In all the patients received operation treatment from 1999 to 2001, eighteen patients were treated with breast-conserving surgery with breast conservation rate of 10.2%, of which 7 cases with quadrantetomy plus axillary lymph node dissection (ALND), 8 cases with lumpectomy plus ALND and 3 cases with lumpectomy. Pathological staging was as follow: 4 cases in stage 0, 12 cases in stage Ⅰ, and 2 cases in stage Ⅱ. All cases were followed-up. The cosmetic results were good in 94%(17/18) and fair in 6%(1/18). All the patients had not local recurrence and distant metastasis. Conclusions Breast-conserving surgery followed by radiation therapy is superior to mastectomy in terms of improving breast cosmesis and quality of life. Postoperative radiation therapy does not affect the cosmetic result.

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of nickel titanium compression anastomosis clip (CAC) in gastrointestinal anastomosis.Methods The clinical data of 413 patients who received gastrointestinal anastomosis with nickel titanium CAC or curved stapler at the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University from January 2007 to December 2011 were retrospectively analyzed.All the patients were divided into the CAC group (227 patients) and the curved stapler group (186 patients).The time for gastrointestinal anastomosis,anastomotic bleeding,complications,condition of the incision sites,the first postoperative flatus and time for the excretion of the CAC between the 2 groups were compared.All data were analyzed using the t test or chisquare test.Results The time for gastrointestinal anastomosis of the CAC group was (8.3 ± 2.5) minutes,which was significantly shorter than (18.7 ± 3.6) minutes of the curved stapler group (t =5.74,P ＜ 0.05).There were no significant difference in the time of postoperative flatus,duration of hospital stay and costs between the 2 groups (t =0.27,1.32,3.11,P ＞ 0.05).No patients in the CAC group had anastomotic bleeding,while the incidence of anastomotic bleeding of the curved stapler group was 3.23 ％ (6/186),with a significant difference between the 2 groups (x2=7.43,P ＜ 0.05).The incidences of gastric emptying dysfunction of the CAC group and the curved stapler group were 0.88％ (2/227) and 1.08％ (2/186),with no significant difference between the 2 groups (x2=0.04,P ＞ 0.05).The incidences of postoperative anastomotic stricture and anastomositis were 0 (0/227) and 11.01％ (25/227) in the CAC group,and 2.15％ (4/186) and 21.50％ (40/186) in the curved stapler group,with significant differences between the 2 groups (x2 =4.93,8.49,P ＜ 0.05).No anastomotic fistula was detected in the 2 groups.The CAC was excreted at postoperative day 12-26.Conclusion CAC is safe and effective for gastrointestinal anastomosis.

Objective: To investigate the hemodynamic changes of ophthalmic artery(OA) and central retinal artery(CRA) in patients with primary angle-closure glaucoma(PACG) and the effects of intraocular pressure(IOP) on retrobulbar hemodynamics. Objective To establish the quality control standard of Pinellia Heart-Sedating Granules. Methods TLC methods for identifition of Radix Pinellia and Radix Scutellariae were established. A simple HPLC was established for the determination of Berberine hydrochloride. Results The spots on TLC plates were clear without interference in the blank reference. The liner range of Berberine hydrochloride was 0.009375～0.3 ?g,r =0.9 999. The average recovery of Berberine hydrochloride was 101.46% and RSD was 2.88%. Conclusion The method is simple, accruate, reproducible and can be used as the quality control method for Pinellia Heart-Sedating Granules.
