High density lipoprotein cholesterol ( HDL-C) has received extensive attention because of its cardiovascular protective effects.Recent studies showed that HDL could promote reverse cholesterol transport ( RCT ) , be anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, and induce angiogenesis. Apolipoptrotein A-I (apoA-I), the most abundant protein of HDL, plays a pivotal role in the HDL mediated-functional activities.Short peptides based on the amphiphilic alpha helix structure of apoA-I have been designed and aimed at imitating the function of apoA-I.The function and metabolism of these mimetic peptides depend on their amino acids component and sequence , and have been proved to exert protection in against cardiovascular disease , infection, inflammation and oxidative damage, metabolic syndrome and tumor.Clinical trials confirmed their benefits, but high cost put them out of the practical applications..

A novel fluorescence homogeneous biosensing strategy was developed for simple, rapid and sensitive detection of melamine in milk by using the polythymine oligonucleotide T24 and SYBR Green Ⅰ. In the absence of melamine, the fluorescence of SYBR Green Ⅰ was weak. The interactions between the single strand oligonucleotide T24 and SYBR Green Ⅰ were weak. In contrast, the presence of melamine drove the formation of T-melamine-T folded structure and enabled the SYBR Green Ⅰ to intercalate into double-strand DNA, resulting in the enhancement of fluorescence intensity. The results revealed that the method allowed a sensitive, simple, and rapid assay of melamine with a linear response range from 0. 1 μmol/L to 10 μmol/L and a detection limit of 35 nmol/L.

0.05). All of the indexes in control group were lower on post-operative day 7 than those of pre-operation. The levels of pre-albumin,transferrin, fibronectin, IgG,IgM, CD~+_3, CD~+_4 T cells and nitrogen balance in the study group were significantly higher than those of control group.Negative nitrogen balance began to be positive in the study group on the post-operative day 7. However, the nitrogen balance in the control group was still negative on the post-operative day 10. The duration of hospitalization in the r-hGH group was shorter than that of the control group. The 1-year, 2-year and 3-year survival rates and recurrence rate were not different between two groups.(Conclusions) The post-operative short-term use of the r-hGH plus HPN in patients with excisable gastrointestinal cancer is safe, effective and benefit for the post-operative recovery.

Objective To investigate the effect of melatonin(MT)on tau hyperphosphorylation in hippocampus of mice with exposure to lead(Pb)at early development stage and its possible mechanism. Methods Healthy C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into four groups:control group(received normal water),lead exposure group(exposed to 0.2% Pb acetate from postnatal day 1(PND 1)to PND 21 through drinking water),MT group(received 50 mg/mL MT through drinking water since 12-month-old for 3 months)and MT combined with lead exposure group(exposed to 0.2% Pb acetate from PND 1 to PND 21 and then given 50 mg/mL MT since 12-month-old for 3 months through drinking water). The Pb levels in the blood and hippocampus were determined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry.Morris water maze was used to detect the spatial learning and memory. The phosphorylation level of tau and the protein level of GRP78 and CHOP in hippocampus were detected by Western blotting. Results Compared with the control group, the Pb levels in the blood and hippocampus were significantly increased in lead exposure group(P<0.05),while MT treatment did not affect the Pb levels both in the blood and hippocampus. In the lead exposure group, the phosphorylation level of tau in the hippocampus was significantly increased compared with control group(P<0.01),and after treatment with MT,the phosphorylation level of tau in MT combined with lead exposure group was significantly decreased compared with the lead exposure group(P<0.05).Furthermore,the expression of GRP78 and CHOP in the hippocampus was significantly higher in lead exposure group than in control group(P<0.05),and after treatment with MT,the expression levels of GRP78 and CHOP were lower than those of the control group. Conclusion MT can ameliorate the phosphorylation level of tau in the hippocampus and defects of learning and memory in C57BL/6 mice with exposure to lead at early development stage, and this may be related with the modulation of endoplasmic reticulum stress.

This study was aimed to investigate the clinical effect of tetramethylpyrazine in combination with ipratropium bromide in the treatment of bronchial asthma and its effects on inflammatory factors and leptin. According to inclusion criteria, a total of 124 bronchial asthma cases were included and randomly divided into two groups, which were the control group (n = 62) and the observation group (n = 62) with the random number table. Besides conventional treatments, the control group was given ipratropium bromide; while the observation group was given tetramethylpyrazine in combination with ipratropium bromide. Then, comparisons were made between two groups on the therapeutic efficacy rate, pulmonary function, inflammatory factor, leptin, and incidence of adverse reactions. The results showed that the total therapeutic efficacy rate was 96.8% in the observation group, which was obviously higher than that of 87.1% in the control group (P < 0.05). In comparison with the control group, the posttreatment pulmonary function indexes PEF and FEV1/FVC increased, inflammatory factors IL-6 and IL-4 decreased, and IL-12 increased in the observation group with statistical significance (P < 0.05). One week, 2 weeks and 4 weeks after the treatment, the level of leptin in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). During the treatment, there were no severe adverse reactions. The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 11.3%, which was statistically the same with that of 14.5% in the control group (P > 0.05). It was concluded that tetramethylpyrazine in combination with ipratropium bromide was effective for bronchial asthma treatment, which can significantly increase curative efficacy, improve pulmonary function, alleviate inflammatory reaction and reduce leptin level with minor adverse reactions. It required further studies in the clinical practice.
