1.Chemical composition of flower essential oil of Desmos chinensis Lour. from Vietnam
Pharmaceutical Journal 2003;321(1):23-24
Desmos chinensis is a climber tree. Branches brown pubescent, leaves glaucous underneath, petals yellow. This tree distributes in many provinces of Viet Nam, mostly in Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh, Ninh Binh, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Thua Thien Hue, Kontum, Dong Nai. The oil yield was 0.2% from air-dried flowers. The essential oil of Desmos chinensis was analysed using GS and RMN. 13 constituents have been identified, including beta-caryophyllene (28.9%), bicyclogermacren (11.5%), alpha-humullene (7.2%), D-germacren (7.2%), beta-elemene (6.4%)

3.Some results in study on Japanese peppermint SK-33
Pharmaceutical Journal 1998;272(12):10-11
This paper presents the study on Japanese mint SK-33 (M.arvensis L.) and its essential oil. After 3 years cultivated and observed this mint at CoNhue - TuLiem-Hanoi, we have some following notes: its essential oil content at full flowering stage is about 0.64-0.71% in fresh aerial part of plants, 1.38-1.55% in fresh leaves and flowers, 5.13-5.29% in absolute dry leaves and flowers. The chemical composition of this oil was analyzed by GC/MS, 32 constituents were identified. The main constituents are menthol (81.79%), menthone (7.86%), isomenthone (4.95%). Japanese mint SK-33 has rather high content of essential oil, good quality and can create a large quantity of underground stems. It is prospective new mint form for cultivation at large area in our country.

4.Study on chemical composition of essential oil of wild Hyptis suaveolens (L) Poit. in some provinces of South Vietnam
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;0(2):14-15
Analysis on chemical contents of essential oil of Hybtis suaveolens (L) Poit collected in Ninh Thuan, Vung Tau and Phu Quocs showed that: 41 ingredients in essential oil of wild Hybtis suaveolens (L) Poit were identified by chromatography combining with mass spectrum. Hybtis suaveolens (L) Poit collected in others local but its compositions were rather similar. Major compositions was beta-caryophylen (30.35-44.27%) and 1,8-cineol (7.34-28.20%). In addition, some familiar monoterpens such as alpha - pinen, beta-pinen, sabinen, myrcen were in all three essential oils. Essential oil of Hyptis suaveolens (L.) Poit. had strong scent. With rather high content of sesquiterpen, essential oil of Hyptis suaveolens (L.) Poit. can be used as flavouring indicator in flavouring technology

6.Chemical composition of essential oil of eupatorium odoratum L. from Nghean and Hatinh
Journal of Medicinal Materials - Hanoi 2004;9(6):179-182
By a combination of gas-chromatography and gas-chromatography/mass spectrum, the chemical compositions of volatile oil of Co Lao (Eupatorium odoratum –L.) collected from Nghe An (NA) and Ha Tinh (HT) provinces were identified. Volatile oil contents from NA sample was 0,28%, HT 0,25%. The samples have got yellow color, lighter than water, characterized odor. Volatile oil is a mixture of 60 compounds,-39 in NA samples and 37 in HT. The main components of volatile oil are geijerene, germacrene-D and alpha pinene

7.Determination of chemical components of essential oil from Eupatorium staechadosmum Hance in Thanh Hoa province
Pharmaceutical Journal 2004;0(10):6-7
By gaz chronatography and gaz chronatography in combining with mass spectrum, the isolated essential oil of Man Tuoi Trang in Thach Thanh district of Thanh Hoa province was analysed. Results showed a content of 0,02% of volatile oil (in fresh sample) and its composition was determind. There were 67 compounds, among them 40 were nominated, with the main compositions were beta-caryophylen (21,2%), methylthymyl ether (13,7%), thymohydro quinonediethyl ether (10,2%)

8.Study on chemical components of essential oil from Gaultheria punctata Blume by method GC/MS
Pharmaceutical Journal 2004;0(10):11-12
With the method of water vapor distillation using the "modified apparatus for quantifying essential oil" of Ha Noi college of Pharmacy the essential oil was analysed by GC/MS. Results found essential oil in all organs of the plant such as root, stem, small branch and leaf, but the most was in leaf. The essential oil is a yellow liquid, heavier considerably than water. In the above- ground organs, there is almost 98,45%-99,03% of methyl salicylat. In the root, this content is lower, an addition with other components such as delta- tetradecalaction caryophylen oxid, nootkalon

10.Chemical compositions of essential oil of Cyperus rotundus L. from Vinh city of Nghe An province
Journal of Medicinal Materials - Hanoi 2005;10(5):138-140
Study on chemical compositions of essential oil of Cyperus rotundus L. extracted from the stem and root of plant Cyperus rotundus L. from Nghe An in October 2003. Results: 49 components were detected by combination of GC and GC/MS, in which 18 had been identified. Monoterpens accounted for high level in essential oil. The main components were -cyperon (14.5%), cyperen (7.8%), caryophylen oxid (6.5%), -selinen (6.3%). Essential oil level was 0.2% for fresh samples. Essential oil had soil-yellow color and specific slight perfume
