Objective To study the relationship between contents of duodenogastric reflux and Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) infection in patients with peptic ulcer. Methods Seventy patients with peptic ulcer diagnosed by endoscopy entered the study. Contents of duodenogastric reflux was detected by 99M TC- EHIDA and H.pylori status was determined by both histology with Giemsa staining and serum anti-H.pylori-IgG level using ELISA method. Results In patients without contents of duodenogastric reflux, H.pylori infection rate was 83.3%(35/42), significant higher than 39.3%(11/28) in those with contents of duodenogastric reflux (P

Objective To explore the effect of achalasia with temporary metal internal stent dilation on esophageal motility. Methods Twenty nine patients with achalasia were undertaken temporary metal internal stent placement under X ray control (stents were of 20 25 mm in diameters). After stent dilation 3 7 days, the stents were removed by endoscopy. We measured the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) residual pressure and carried out 24h pH value monitor on the patients, and only LES pressure with relaxation rate for 12 healthy subjects (HS). Results LES residual pressure before stent dilation were markedly higher than that after stent dilation ( P 0.05).Conclusions Temporary metal internal stent dilation shows LES pressure and higher rate of GER for achalasia

Objective To investigate the expression changes of nuclear factor(NF)-κB and activator protein (AP)-1 in oxazolone induced colitis in mice and their mechanisms. Methods Twenty-four mice were randomly divided into normal group and model group with 12 each. Experimental colitis was induced with skin sensitization of 3% oxazolone for 5 days, then rectal administration of 0.15 ml of 0. 5% oxazolone solution in mice. All mice were sacrificed on day 3. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC), spleen mononuclear cells (SMC) and lamina propria mononuclear cells (LPMC) were isolated from the colon tissues. Expression of NF-κB and AP-1 in SMC, LPMC and PBMC were determined by fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The colitis was evaluated histologically. Results The expressions of NF-κB and AP-1 in SMC, LPMC,PBMC of model groupwere significantly higher than those in normal group(NF-κB : 5.62±0.78 vs. 3.16±0.59,5.46±0.38 vs. 3.18±0.58, 5.65±0.56 vs. 3.36±0.59, P<0.01; AP-1; 5.61±0.54 vs. 3.22±0.50, 5.50±0.69 vs. 3.19± 0.40,5.67±0.44 vs. 3. 27±0.41, P<0.01). Conclusion The activation of NF-κB and AP-1 are involved in the mechanisms of ulcerative colitis.

Objective To determine the effect and safety of metallic stents in the treatment of acute malignant colorectal obstruction. Methods From May,2000 to June,2003, self-expanding metallic stents were implanted in 15 patients with acute left colonic obstruction caused by malignancies. The postoperative remission and complications were observed. Results Stents were implanted successfully in 12 cases(80.0%,12/15).Of the 12 cases, the obstruction were all disappeared within 24h. No death or colonic perforation happened in this series. Stent migration and anal pain developed each in one case after stent implantation. Elective radical resection was performed on 8 cases after bowel preparation and supportive therapy; and stents reserved permanently in other 4 cases. Conclusions The implantation of self-expanding metallic stents is a safe and effective method for the temporary remission or permanent treatment of acute left-colonic or rectal obstruction caused by malignancies,it can instead of colostomy.
5.Advances in Study on Early Prediction Value of Biological Markers for Severity of Acute Pancreatitis
Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2018;23(3):185-187
Acute pancreatitis(AP)is one of the common diseases of the digestive system. It can be categorized into mild acute pancreatitis(MAP),moderately severe acute pancreatitis(MSAP)and severe acute pancreatitis(SAP). Early treatment can reduce the incidence of complications and mortality of AP. Biological markers have attracted much attention for their accessibility, high reproducibility and stability. Searching for biological markers with clinical values helps guide the stratified diagnosis and treatment of AP. This article reviewed the advances in study on biological markers for early prediction value of severity of AP.
