Journal of Practical Stomatology 2016;32(6):815-822
Objective:To evaluate the clinical outcome of all-ceramic and metal-ceramic restorations by means of Meta-analysis. Methods:The relevant randomized controlled trials ( RCTs) were electronically searched from PubMed, the Cochrane Library, EM-base, SinoMed, Weipu databases, CNKI and Wanfang. After data extraction and bias evaluation the Meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan 5. 3 software. Results:Finally 15 RCTs involving 768 all-ceramic restorations and 1386 Metal-ceramic restorations met the eli-gibility criteria. The results showed that, compared with metal-ceramic restorations, all-ceramic restorations could significantly decrease the risk of gingivitis(RR=0. 30,95%CI=0. 10-0. 90, P=0. 03),could decrease secondary caries and improve the satisfaction of cervical discoloration and marginal adaptation but without significant difference. There was no difference in color match and chipping of the veneering ceramics. However, all-ceramic restorations may lead to loss of the abutment tooth vitality. The risk of all-ceramic frame-work fracture while adopting fixed bridges was significantly higher(RR=6. 24, 95%CI=1. 20 -32. 41, P=0. 03). Conclusion:Based on the existing limited evidence, the efficacy of all-ceramic restorations is better than metal-ceramic restorations. But the intensity of all-ceramic bridges needs to be improved.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the protective effect and anticoagulation effect of polysaccharides from the sea cucumber (PSU) on acute incomplete cerebral ischemia (AICI).
METHODSAdult SD rats were randomly divided into 5 group (n = 12): sham operation group, model group, low-dose (30 mg/(kg x d)), middle-dose (60 mg/(kg x d)) and high-dose (120 mg/(kg x d)) groups. The cerebral ischemia rat model was established by permanently ligating the common carotid arteries on both sides of rats. We observed the change of behavior disturbance, brain water content, the levels of serum C-reactive protein (CRP) as well as the effects on prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), thrombin time (TT), fibrinogen(FIB).
RESULTSDue to the use of polysaccharides, the behavioral disturbance was improved, brain water content and the levels of serum CRP were significantly decreased. Also PSU significantly prolonged APTT, TT and reduced the content of FIB (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONPSU has protective effect on acute incomplete cerebral ischemia injured rats and significant anticoagulation effect.

Chinese Journal of Pathology 2022;51(5):437-443
Objective: To study the clinicopathological features, immunophenotype, molecular changes, differential diagnosis and prognosis of eosinophilic vacuolated tumor (EVT) of the kidney. Methods: Four cases were collected retrospectively from 2014 to 2020 at Ningbo Diagnostic Pathology Center. The clinicopathologic features and immunophenotypic profile were studied by light microscopy and immunohistochemistry. Targeted next-generation sequencing (NGS) panel was used to detect cancer-associated mutation. Follow-up and literature review were also performed. Results: Among the 4 patients studied,2 were males and 2 were females. The age of the patients ranged from 44 to 63 years (the mean age: 51 years).Tumor size ranged from 1.5 to 4.2 cm (mean: 2.3 cm). Microscopically, tumors were well-circumscribed, unencapsulated. Thick-walled vessels and entrapped renal tubules were found within or at the periphery of the tumors. The tumors were predominantly composed of nest pattern, and focal tubular pattern. The tumor cells exhibited abundant, eosinophilic, granular cytoplasm and conspicuous, large nucleoli. Prominent intracytoplasmic vacuoles were seen. These cytoplasmic vacuoles varied in size and frequently coalesced into a large space. Loose fibromatous or hyaline stroma was focally noted. Immunohistochemically, the tumor cells in all cases exhibited a CD117+/CK7-phenotype. All cases were positive for CD10 and p504s. MTOR, S6 and cathepsin K were positive in 4 cases. TFE3, CA9, Melan A and HMB45 were negative in all cases. SDHB retained expression. NGS demonstrated MTOR mutations in all cases, and TSC2 mutation in 2 cases. Conclusions: EVT is a rarely oncocytic renal tumor with unique morphology, immunohistochemical phenotype, molecular profile and an indolent behavior. Recognition of the characteristics of this novel but rare entity will allow for better classification of renal tumors.

Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine 2013;47(12):1100-1104
OBJECTIVETo investigate the epidemiological characteristics of influenza B viruses and explore the genetic evolution characteristics of the hemagglutinin(HA) and neuraminidase(NA) genes of local isolated strains in Ningbo, Southeast China, during 2010 to 2012.
METHODSRespiratory specimens from 3440 cases of patients with influenza-like illness(ILI) during 2010 to 2012 were collected in for virus isolation. And the 628 sera samples were collected in 2010 from the healthy community population to detect the HI antibody level against the local isolated virus. For phylogenetic analysis, the fragments of HA and NA genes were amplified and sequenced from strains isolated in different years. The association between evolution of HA and epidemiological characteristics were analyzed.
RESULTSA total of 109 strains of influenza B virus were isolated, including 102 (93.6%) Victoria-lineage strains and 7 (6.4%) Yamagata-lineage strains. Positive rates of HI antibody against Victoria-lineage strains and Yamagata-lineage strains were 51.1% (321) and 47.8% (300), respectively (χ(2) = 1.405, P > 0.05) among the 628 sera samples. The phylogenetic analysis showed that all HA fragments of isolated strains clustered the same branch with Malaysia/2506/2004 while the NA genes formed different branches. Compared with Brisbane/60/2008 strain, there were 1 to 5 Amino acid mutations in HA domain, and more mutations were detected in NA domain, ranged from 6 to 16 sites. The genetic evolution of NA in Victoria-lineage strains were faster compared with HA.
CONCLUSIONThe genetic evolution rates of NA genes were faster than that of HA genes in the local circulated Victoria-lineage viruses during 2010 to 2012;The comprehensive analysis of HA and NA fragments were more reliable and sensitive on surveillance of genetic evolution of influenza B viruses.

Journal of Zhejiang University. Medical sciences 2023;52(5):627-635
OBJECTIVES:
To explore the mechanism of Chinese medicine Jiangzhuo mixture regulating glucose and lipid metabolism in obese rats.
METHODS:
Thirty healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into normal control group, model control group, and Jiangzhuo mixture treatment group, with 10 rats in each group. The rats in the normal control group were fed with normal diet, the obesity model was induced by feeding high-fat diet in the model control group and the Jiangzhuo mixture treatment group, the rats in the treatment group were given with Jiangzhuo mixture 50 g/kg by gavage. After 8 weeks of intervention, the blood glucose (GLU), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels were measured in the three groups. Quantitative reverse transcription PCR were used to detect the expression levels of PR domain containing 16 (PRDM16) and uncoupling protein 1 (UCP1) in white and brown adipose tissues of the rats in each group; Western blotting was used to detect the expression of PRDM16 in the white and brown adipose tissue of rats, and Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) and inhibitor of NF-κB alpha (IκBα) in the white adipose tissue; immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of UCP1 protein in white and brown adipose tissues.
RESULTS:
Compared with the normal control group, the white fat weight (P<0.01), white fat coefficient (P<0.05) and Lee's coefficient (P<0.01) were significantly increased in the model control group; the contents of GLU, TC, TG and LDL-C were all increased, and the content of TG was significantly increased (P<0.05) in the model control group. The mRNA and protein expression levels of PRDM16 and UCP1 in white fat and brown fat were significantly decreased (P<0.05) in the model control group. Compared with the model control group, the white fat weight and white fat coefficient and Lee's coefficient were significantly reduced in the Jiangzhuo mixture treatment group (all P<0.01), the levels of GLU, TC, TG, and LDL-C in the the treatment group were all reduced, and the content of TG was reduced more obviously (P<0.01); expression levels of PRDM16 and UCP1 mRNA and protein were increased in brown and white adipose tissue. Compared with the normal control group, the expression levels of TLR4, phospho-IκBα and NF-κB-p65 proteins in white adipose tissue of the model control group were significantly increased (all P<0.01), while the expression levels of these proteins in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the model control group (all P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONS
Jiangzhuo mixture can alleviate high-fat diet-induced increase in body fat, abnormal expression of biochemical indexes and promote the expression of key proteins including UCP1 and PRDM16 in white and brown adipose tissues by regulating TLR4/IκBα/NF-κB signaling pathway.
