Chinese Journal of Medical Library and Information Science 2015;(1):27-32,49
Objective To analyze the current situation in studies of translational medicine in Guangdong Province. Methods The number of centers for translational medicine, academic conferences, scientific fund-supported projects, and academic papers was calculated, respectively. Results Guangdong Province established 24 centers for transla-tional medicine, held 22 academic conferences, completed 42 scientific projects, and published 79 academic papers in domestic and foreign journals, including 12 papers concerned about traditional Chinese Medcine. Conclusion Guangdong Province have made some achievements in translational medicine that present certain development rules. It is suggested that in the future, the government should pay more attention to the development of translational medi-cine research. In order to promote the development of translational medicine research in Guangdong province, the government should try to combine the development of translational medicine research and the development of provin-cial key laboratory and key disciplines in Guangdong province.
2.Effects of Bi-level positive airway pressure on the level of B-type natriuretic peptide in patients with acute left ventricular failure
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2014;13(12):1011-1013
A total of 122 patients with acute left ventricular failure from January 2011 to December 2013 at our hospital were recruited and divided randomly into control group (n =62) and observation group (n =60).Control group received conventional therapy and Bi-level positive airway pressure (Bi-PAP) was added along with conventional therapy for observation group. And 12 and 8 patients died in control and observation groups respectively within 24 h after treatment and there was no statistical difference. The BNP levels of the control group pre-treatment and at 1 h and 24 h post-treatment were (1 040 ± 315),(995 ± 245) and (570 ± 164) ng/L.The BNP levels of observation group pre-treatment and at 1 h and 24 h posttreatment were (1 080 ±209),(995 ±245) and (490 ± 138) ng/L.BNP of observation group at 1 h and 24 h post-treatment decreased significantly compared with that pre-treatment and control group (P <0.01).Only at 24 h post-treatment,the BNP level of control group decreased significantly compared with that pretreatment (P < 0.01).
3.The relationship of Type A behavior and defense style in doctors
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2001;10(2):137-138
Objective To explore the relationship between Type A Behavior and Defense Style. Method 49 medical students and 34 doctors were investigated by the Defense Style Questionnaire (DSQ) and Type A Behavior Questionnaire (TABQ). Results Immature and middle defense styles were more used by Type A subjects than Type B and Type M subjects (P<0.05). TABQ total score was significantly associated with immature and middle defense styles (P<0.001 or P<0.05). Conclusion Immature and middle defense styles were associated with Type A Behavior.
4.Effects of limb negative pressure on plasma endothelin and calcitonin gene-related peptide in dogs with arterial occlusive disease
Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2000;0(12):-
Objective To observe the effect of limb negative pressure (LNP) on plasma endothelin (ET) and calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP) in dogs with arterial occlusive disease (AOD). Methods Fifteen dogs were divided into the treatment group(10 dogs) and the control group (5 dogs). By ligating the branch of femoral artery and inserting spiral wire into the artery of canine left posterior limb, we established a model of extensive arterial occlusive disease of the extremity. The limbs of treatment group were given LNP therapy. Plasma ET and CGRP were determined by radioimmunoassay (RIA). Results Ten days after LNP treatment plasma ET decreased and plasma CGRP increased significantly compared with controls(P
5.Imaging Diagnosis of Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis of Spine
Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging 2015;(2):131-134,139
PurposeTo explore CT and MRI findings of pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) of spine, and to improve the preoperative diagnosis.Materials and MethodsCT and MRI findings of 7 cases of PVNS of spine confirmed by surgery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed. Seven cases underwent CT scan and 5 of them underwent MRI scan. The location of the lesions, tumor size, shape, density (signal), bone destruction and enhanced features were analyzed.ResultsExcept one case with small lesion, the remaining 6 cases showed lobulated soft tissue masses centering at the facet joint area, with lytic, expansive bone destruction. On CT images (n=7), 3 cases showed the masses density similar to that of the surrounding muscles, and 4 cases showed the tumor density slightly lower than that of the surrounding muscles. On MRI images (n=5), 1 small lesion demonstrated low signal at the peripheral, 1 lesion was isointensity without obvious low-density in it, 3 cases showed characteristic multiple visible low signal nodules in the lesions.ConclusionThe possibility diagnosis of the PVNS should be considered when spinal lesions are characterized by osteolytic bone destruction centering at facet joints and soft tissue masses with distinctive MR signals.
6. Study on in vitro controlled release of danshensu based on PEG modified of mesoporous silica nanoparticles
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2016;47(14):2441-2446
Objective: To prepare a series of polyethylene (PEG)-modified mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs-PEG) used for danshensu delivery carrier. Methods: By the co-hydrolysis method with silica coupling agent, the content of the azide groups was controlled into MSNs. The structures of MSNs-PEG were characterized by FTIR, XRD, and TEM analyses. The results showed that PEG chains have been grafted on the surface of MSNs. The safety of MSNs-PEG carrier was preliminarily evaluated by MTT, the release rule of MSNs-PEG was investigated by in vitro release experiment. Results: PEG can be effectively and controlled grafted onto MSNs. The MSNs-PEG have the good stability in aqueous solution. The loading rate of MSNs-PEG was higher in the experimental results of danshensu. The drug loading and entrapment efficiency were 6.8 % and 22.8 %. The graft of PEG could change the release of the drug, which could effectively prolong the time of drug release. And with the increase of the amount of PEG (mass fraction), the release time of danshensu could be prolonged effectively. Conclusion: The click chemistry method is easy to control the PEG graft content, and effectively controls the release rate of danshensu.

National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(9):847-851
Epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) is a process of normal cell physiological development, in which epithelial cells transform into mesenchyme cells through a specific program. EMT plays a key role in inflammatory reaction, cell development, tumor invasion, and metastasis and has an interrelation with prostate cancer stem cells. Recent researches show the involvement of EMT in the development and metastasis of prostate cancer. This article reviews the specific roles and action mechanisms of EMT in the progression of prostate cancer.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2017;19(1):7-13
In recent years, clinical immunology has an increasing variety of prominent applications in the field of chronic hepatitis B infection. On one hand, the discovery and identification of the mechanisms of pathogen recognition by the innate immune system, novel immune cell subpopulations and immunoregulatory pathways further enriched the immunological pathogenesis of chronic hepatitis B.On the other hand, the development of new immunotherapy strategies aimed at reconstructing the antiviral immunity, including agonists of Toll like receptors, immune cell therapies and therapeutic vaccines, have provided several new targets for the optimization of antiviral therapy strategies and brought new opportunities for patients of chronic hepatitis B to obtain HBsAg clearance and clinical cure.
