Objective To investigate the expression of CD158b in NK cells after allogeneic kidney transplantation.Methods In 62 patients with allogeneic kidney transplantation, blood samples were collected on the day before operation, first, 7th day after operation, the moment the graft (reco)-(vered) and the acute rejection occurred. The expression of CD158b was detected in peripheral blood NK cells. The ratio of CD3~-CD16/56~+CD158b~+ was measured.Results There were 38 patients without acute rejection during the whole transplantation period. The ratio of CD3~-CD16/56~+ cells and CD3~-CD16/56~+CD158b~+ cells were stable before and after the transplantation. Twenty-four patients experienced acute rejection post-transplantation. The ratio of CD3~-CD16/56~+ cells was increased significantly after acute rejection, the ratio of CD3~-CD16/56~+CD158b~+ cells decreased significantly, and the percentage of CD3~-CD16/56~+CD158b~+ cells of total NK cells decreased significantly.Conclusion There are not too much factors interfering with the expression of CD158b in NK cells, and the ratio of CD3~-CD16/56~+CD158b~+ cells had already decreased significantly before the clinical diagnosis of (acute) rejection. Monitoring of CD158b in NK cells is more accurate and sensitive for the evaluation of immune state.

To compare the postobturation pain and therapeutic effects in root canal therapy between two root canal filling materials: AH Plus and zinc oxide eugonol. Four hundred and twenty four teeth requiring root canal therapy were randomly divided into 2 groups: AH Plus ( trial group ) or zinc oxide eugonol ( control group) were used in treatment respectively. The pain intensity after treatment was evaluated by visual analogue scale. The therapeutic effects were evaluated by follow-up for 6 and 12 months. The pain intensity of trial group was significantly lower than that of the control group in 3rd and 7th day[8. 5% ( 18/212) vs. 15.6% (33/212),5.2% (11/212) vs. 14.6% (31/212),both P ＜0.05]. There were no significant differences in effictive rate between two groups after follow-up for 6 and 12 months[92. 5% ( 196/212) vs. 89. 6% ( 190/212 ) ,91.5% ( 194/212 ) vs. 88.7% ( 188/212 ), both P ＞ 0. 05]. AH Plus root canal filling paste used in root canal therapy can significantly decrease postoperative pain.

OBJECTIVE To strengthen the cleaning and disinfection management for endoscope to fulfil the specification.METHODS The management of cleaning and disinfection of the endoscopes were to be improved by methods of education,inspection,condition improvement and perfect institution.RESULTS The endoscopes which were disinfected were all reached the standards.CONCLUSIONS It is important to strengthen the cleaning and disinfection management for endoscopes.

This study was designed to investigate the application of multi-slice spiral CT(MSCT)and airway reconstruction in the patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(OSAS).Using GE Lightspeed16 scanner,MSCT and airway three-dimensional reconstruction were performed on 33 patients with OSAS,who were admitted in the Chinese PLA General Hospital between 2004 and 2005.The sagittal diameter,coronal diameter and the section area of upper airway were measured.The results showed that the narrowest place of the airway in OSAS patients was the posterior soft palate region,in which the sagittal diameter,coronal diameter and the section area were 8.96 mm,16.64 mm and 164.62 mm2 respectively,and then was palatine uvula region.With MSCT scanning and post-processing,a precise measurement of airway can be gotten,and stenosis locus and scope are easy to be localized,which will provide reliable evidences for treatment scheme and surgical mode.

Injury of peripheral nerve is a so common complication in trauma, that it is important to improve regeneration to recover the function of peripheral nerve. This paper has reviewed the pathology after injury of peripheral nerve, condition of successful regeneration of peripheral nerve, experiment and clinical study of electrical stimulation promoting regeneration of peripheral nerve and the possible mechanism. The effect of electrical stimulation on promoting regeneration of peripheral nerve has been gradually accredited. However, further study is still needed to discover the many unknown field.

Objective To evaluate the clinical application value of Hopkins endoscope on removal of esophageal foreign bodies. Methods The clinical data of 96 patients with esophageal foreign body were analyzed retrospectively. Then the differences of the operation time between the visual surgery guided by Hopkins endoscope and conventional surgery of removal of esophageal foreign bodies were compared. Results Improved surgical operation time is significantly shorter than the traditional operation group. In addition,the operation time of improved surgery in the denture group,≥50 years old age group,≥24 h course group and the first stenosis of esophagus group is significantly shorter than the traditional ones. Conclusion Compared with the traditional surgery,the visual surgery of removal of esophageal foreign bodies guided by Hopkins endoscope with rigid esophago?scope has more advantages,especially for complex esophageal foreign body,which can significantly short the operation time and improve the opera?tion efficiency.

The paper designs and implements a digitalized information resources platform for Mongolian medicine based on ASP.NET.The system adopts VS2008 + SQL SERVER2005 and the 3-tier architectural pattern,integrates functional modules such as News Information,Mongolian Medicine,Mongolian Doctors and Q&A,realizes the digitalization of Mongolian medicine resources and establishes a sharing system.Upon testing,the system operates well and achieves the expectations.

Objective To investigate the inhibitory effects and possible related mechanism of OTX008 [a selective inhibitor of galectin-1 (Galectin-1)] on retinal neovascularization (RNV) in mouse model of oxygeninduced retinopathy (OIR).Methods 7-day-old (P7) C57BL/6J mice were randomly (according to random number table) divided into 4 groups including normal group,OIR group,OIR-OTX008 group and OIRphosphate buffered saline (PBS) group.To establish the OIR mouse model,mice from all groups except normal group were expose to (75±2)％ oxygen for 5 days and then to room air.OIR-OTX008 group received an intravitreal injection of 1 μl (0.25 μg/μl) OTX008 at P12,OIR-PBS group received the equal volume (1 μl) of PBS injection.Mice from 4 groups were euthanized at P17,and retinas were collected for molecular biological analysis and morphological study.RNV was evaluated by counting the number ofpre-retinal neovascular nuclei and the whole-mount immunofluorescent staining of mouse retina.Cyrosections of retinas were imaged via confocal microscopy to observe the enrichment of staining of Galectin-1.Protein levels of Galectin-1,Neuropilin-1 and phosphorylation of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (pVEGFR2) were determined with Western blot.Results At P17,Galectin-1 expressed higher in retinal ganglion cell layer,inner plexiform layer and inner nuclear layer from OIR group and OIR-PBS group than normal group.Galectin-1 expressed less in cryosection retinas from OIR-OTX008 group than OIR group and OIR-PBS group.The numbers ofpre-retinal neovascular cell nuclei from OIR group and OIR-pBS group were obviously more than that from normal group (t=9.314,P＜0.05).The number of pre-retinal neovascular cell nuclei from OIR-OTX008 group were obviously lower than those from OIR group and OIR-PBS group (t=8.038,7.774;P＜0.05).The RNV tufts area (t=13.250,12.570),non-perfusion area (t=15.590,12.430) and hypoxic area (t=9.542,9.928) from OIR-OTX008 group were significantly smaller than those in OIR group and OIR-PBS group (P＜ 0.05).Protein levels of Galectin-1 (t=24.800,23.060),Neuropilin-1 (t=4.120,3.530) and pVEGFR2 (t=25.880,15.480) in the OIR-OTX008 group were significantly down-regulated than those from OIR group and OIR-PBS group (P＜0.05).Conclusion Intravitreal injection of OTX008 inhibits RNV and ameliorates retinal hypoxia in mice model of OIR possibly through down-regulating Galectin-1,Neurolinpin-1 and pVEGFR2.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the penile erectile function of hospitalized male patients with cardiovascular diseases, the incidence of erectile dysfunction (ED) in this cohort, and the relationship of ED with cardiovascular diseases and its risk factors.

METHODSUsing a self-designed questionnaire, we conducted an investigation among the hospitalized patients in the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases of the First and Second Affiliated Hospitals of Xi'an Jiaotong University. We measured their body height, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, hip circumference, and blood pressure, obtained their personal data, past history, metabolic indexes, and erectile function scores by IIEF-5, and analyzed the risk factors of ED using univariate and multivariate logistic regression and OR analyses.

RESULTSTotally, 225 valid questionnaires were included in this investigation, which showed a 66.7% incidence of ED, 15.8% mild, 27.0% mild to moderate, 17.6% moderate, and 6.3% severe. The incident rates of ED in the 18-35 yr, 36-49 yr, 50-65 yr, and > 65 yr age groups were 13.6%, 39.1%, 89.2%, and 91.2%, respectively. Univariate logistic regression analysis manifested that the risk factors of ED in the patients with cardiovascular diseases included age (OR = 3.122, 95% CI 2.040-4.779), smoking (OR = 1.768, 95% CI 1.209-2.584), BMI (OR = 1.261, 95% CI 1.114-1.427), total cholesterol (OR = 1.77, 95% CI 1.339-2.340), TC/HDL (OR =1.715, 95% CI 1.349-2.181), hypertension (OR = 1.717, 95% CI 1.110-2.658), and coronary heart disease (OR = 2.235, 95% CI 1.169-4.275), while multivariate logistic regression analysis showed the risk factors to be age (OR = 4.99, 95% CI 2.264-10.998), financial condition, (OR = 2.804, 95% CI 1.127-6.976), smoking (OR = 2.109, 95% CI 1.179-3.772), BMI (OR = 1.414, 95% CI 1.136-1.760), and TC/HDL (OR = 2.001, 95% CI 1.016-3.943).

CONCLUSIONThe incidence of ED is high in hospitalized patients with cardiovascular diseases and rises with the increase of age. Age, smoking, financial condition, BMI, and TC/HDL are the risk factors of both ED and cardiovascular diseases, and financial condition is closely associated with ED.

Objective To analyze the rationality of 16 or more multi-slice helical CT (MSCT) utilization for solitary pulmonary nodule (SPN) (<3 cm). Methods One hundred and fifty consultant cases with SPN from 133 different hospitals, examined with 16 or more MSCT, were selected in this study. The reconstructed slice thickness of routine CT scan, thin slice reconstruction thickness, 2D or 3D reconstruction, window wide and level setting, contrast enhancement effect were recorded from consultant films. Thoracic CT scan criteria for SPN were proposed according to the scan guidelines at Stanford University and PubMed articles. The rationality of 16 or more MSCT utilization in other hospitals for SPN was analyzed by two radiologists compared with scan criteria. The diagnostic accuracy in other hospitals was evaluated according to the pathologic and treatment results in our hospital. Results Sixteen-MSCT was performed in 92 cases, 64-MSCT in 54 cases and 40-MSCT in 4 cases. In routine thoracic CT scan, 9--10 mm reconstructed slice thickness was selected in 59 cases, 7--8 mm thickness in 12 cases and 5 mmthickness in 79 cases. Consecutive thin slice thickness (<3 mm) was used for SPN only in 46 cases. OnlyMPR and VR were filmed in 9 cases without thin slice reconstructed axial images. :53 cases (35.3%) were rescanned in our hospital due to the unsatisfied image quality. Of 150 cases, 78 cases had pathologic or treatment results in our hospital and 22 cases (14.7%) were proved to be misdiagnosed in other hospitals, and only 2 cases were misdiagnosed in our hospital. Conclusion There are many irrationalities of 16 or more MSCT utilization in our country which influence the diagnostic accuracy of SPN, Unified thoracic CT scan criteria in our country are needed.
